It's National Bingo Week Again!

What is National Bingo Week?

National Bingo Week 2025 is an expansion of National Bingo Day and runs from 23rd – 29th June.

National Bingo Day is a fairly recent addition to the UK calendar; the British bingo industry imported the idea from the USA (where there’s a national day for pretty well everything) in 2021, as an excuse for a big celebration in bingo clubs as they reopened after more than a year of enforced closures.  Now, it’s more of an awareness raising exercise.

27th June is the actual day and this year it falls on a Friday.  Historically the biggest bingo promotions, on and offline, have been run at the weekend when players have more time so this year, National Bingo Day itself is the main focus.

The new National Bingo Week website presents the event as a celebration of community and doesn’t have many details of what’s actually on.  So here’s our round-up:

National Bingo Week in clubs

• On Wednesday 25th June there’s the Value Session.  This consists of discounted sessions at clubs across the country and the National Bingo game at half price.
• On Friday 27th June there’s the Charity Game in aid of Variety, the Children’s Charity. This will take place with VIP guest callers including (they hope) local MPs and a fundraising target of £20,000 nationally.
• On Sunday 29th June there’s the Big Money Game at 8.30pm at Buzz Bingo clubs (and online), with a full house prize of £100,000.  There’s also a £100K guaranteed jackpot on the evening National Bingo Game.
• Throughout the week , a social media competition will be run by local clubs.  There are 4 x £1000 holiday vouchers to be won; one winner will be chosen from Buzz clubs, one from Mecca clubs and two from independent clubs.  The idea is to share a photo of yourself and your bingo buddy enjoying your visit.  Check your local club’s socials for further details.

Individual clubs will be running extra promotions, as well. For example, at most Mecca clubs you can go in on the Tuesday evening and get your first set of six Main Game paper tickets free.

National Bingo Week online

National Bingo Week does seem to be mainly a club focused event this year; the only online promotion that’s not connected with a club in some way is the Dragonfish one (Playtech power Mecca and Buzz online and also own ECM Systems who supply all the electronic bingo tablets to clubs) .

Playtech bingo sites have the National Bingo Week bingo room.  This is open from 8pm till 10pm every day of National Bingo Week with all tickets priced at 10p each.  Every one of these 90 ball games has 1TG/2TG prizes as well as the usual 1L, 2L and FH.  Most have a total prize pool of £2500 but three games have bigger prizes; there’s £5000 to be won at 8pm, £15000 to be won at 9pm and £10000 to be won at 10pm.

Buzz Bingo have the previously mentioned Big Money Game with tickets priced at £1 for a strip of 6.

Dragonfish bingo sites have a special National Bingo Day game at 9pm on Friday 27th.  Tickets for this 90 ball game are priced at 25p each (cash or bonus) and there’s a fixed full house prize of £1500 (the 1L prize is £200 and the 2L prize is £300).

BingoPlus has the half price National Bingo Game on Wednesday 25th with 5 tickets for £1 and the big money National Bingo Game on Sunday 29th.  It’s the only online bingo site where you can play the National Bingo Game.
