What Is Mecca Bingo’s Got Talent?

Mecca Bingo’s Got Talent is a HUGE promotion running at, you guessed it, Mecca Bingo until 5th June 2022.  The promotions are based around the latest season of Britain’s Got Talent and as the official bingo partner of the show, Mecca have secured plenty of money-can’t-buy prizes.

Judges’ Jackpot: The Auditions

Judges’ Jackpot: The Auditions is a free game that can be played once a day (from noon onwards).  Simply pick one of the Xs to find out what (if anything) you have won.  The very first time you play the game, you’re guaranteed to win something.  The rest of the time, there’s a 90% or better chance of winning a prize.  The prizes are cash (10p – £500), 10 or 20 free spins (on Well of Wishes, Reel King Mega or Starburst), or 50p – £5 bonus (it could be bingo bonus or all games bonus). The bonuses have a 1x wagering requirement and all non cash prizes have a 7 day expiry.

Play the game at least once by 19th May and you’ll be entered into a prize draw for a pair of tickets to the ITV Britain’s Got Talent Live Shows plus overnight accommodation and up to £50 travel expenses.  The shows will take place in or around London between 30th May and 3rd June 2022.

Judges’ Jackpot: The Finals

Judges’s Jackpot: The Finals is the premium version of the same game, playable from 2pm every day by anyone who deposited and spent £10 the previous day.  It has similar prizes to the other version but you’re guaranteed to win something on every play and the top cash prize is £1000 not £500.

With every play of this game, you also collect an entry to the Top Talent Prize Draw (see below).

Exclusive BGT Bingo Room

The new Britain’s Got Talent bingo room is a 90 ball room that is exclusive to Mecca Bingo.  Hold on a minute, I can hear you say, that’s not new! There has indeed been a BGT bingo room at Mecca for years BUT this is a new version of the game.

The original BGT Bingo was based on the old Lucky Numbers bingo game and had three jackpots which only paid out when one, two or all three of the three lucky numbers matched the numbers on which 1L, 2L and full house were called.  As you can imagine, this wasn’t a common occurrence!

The new version of BGT Bingo replaces these jackpots with the Beat The Buzzer feature.  This still consists of three extra prizes attached to three lucky numbers, but they pay out whenever the game is won and one, two or three of the numbers have NOT been called – which happens in most games. Whichever extra prize drops, it is split between players with 6 or more tickets to the game in question, so if you buy a strip of tickets you’ll win at least something more often than not and this makes for a much more enjoyable player experience than the old version.  Tickets are priced from 2p to 20p and during the promo period there’s minimum guaranteed prize money of £25,000 a week (including £5000 on Friday and Saturday evenings).

Throughout April and May 2022, if you win a line or full house prize in the BGT bingo room you’ll also collect an entry to the Top Talent Prize Draw.

Top Talent Prize Draw – How It Works

The Top Talent Prize Draw works in the same way as other Mecca weekly prize draws in that the entries are persistent.  Collect an entry by playing Judges Jackpot: The Finals or winning in the BGT bingo room and it will be eligible, not just for the next weekly draw, but for all subsequent weekly draws until the end of the promotion.

At midnight every Thursday, entries are frozen and 3000 are randomly selected to go into the tombola at the MeccaTV studio for the Live Prize Draw.  The draw takes place during the MeccaTV livestream on the Friday evening with more than 30 prizes to be won each week until 3rd June.

Top Talent Prize Draw – The Prizes

Mecca’s Got Talent

Mecca’s Got Talent is the offline part of the promotion.  It’s a talent competition that is taking place in Mecca Clubs alongside the TV season.  Solo artists and groups had until 10th April to submit video entries via WhatsApp and the main entry condition was that they had to have played in a live show at least twice prior to 21st March 2022. There were also a few other provisos including no animals, no pyrotechnics and no-one under the age of 18.

The selected acts will be doing live shows in various Mecca Clubs from 21st – 23rd April in the hope of progressing to the quarter finals which will take place from 28th April to 7th May.  After that come the semi finals on 13th and 14th May, and the grand final on 21st May.

The winning act will collect £1000 cash, tickets to the BGT Live Finals, an interview with a top agent and a 6 date tour of Mecca venues.

MeccaTV

MeccaTV is a livestream which can be viewed in a number of bingo rooms (identifiable by the red TV icon) and typically runs in conjunction with big Mecca promotions.  This season of MeccaTV is on every Friday evening from 8pm until 10pm until 3rd June and just as you’d expect it’s all about Britain’s Got Talent!  Here’s some of what will be happening:

• Chat about what’s going on in BGT
• Chat about what’s going on in Mecca’s Got Talent
• Interviews with former BGT participants, judges, stylists etc
• The Live Prize Draw

There’s also the opportunity to play games and win prizes live on air. For the chance to do this, listen out for the code on the livestream, enter it into the bingo lobby and wait to see if they call you (do make sure your phone number is up to date in your account settings!).  If they do, you’ll collect £25 just for saying “Mecca Bingo’s Got Talent” when you answer the phone!  You’ll then be invited to play one of the live stream games.  There’s quizzes, a memory game and a number of others including “Sing That Song”, in which the player must guess and sing the song after receiving clues to the lyrics – very apt for a BGT themed show!
