Mecca Bingo Mega Money Live

Mecca Bingo first introduced a live stream (Mecca TV) into their bingo rooms some years ago and at first glance the Mecca Bingo Mega Money Live Hour, which debuts on Friday 6th June and looks set to be a monthly occurrence, seems to be more of the same.  OK so there’s a big money game on, but it’s running across the Playtech network and not just at Mecca.

There’s a lot more to it than that, though!  Mecca have taken the big game and added extras to make it a proper evening’s entertainment for their players.

£120,000 June Big Game

This 90 ball game, which plays at 9pm on 6th June in a room of its own, is indeed a Playtech network game with tickets priced at 10p and a maximum purchase of 100. Prizes are as follows:

• Full House: £75,000
• 2 Lines: £7500
• 1 Line: £2500
• 1TG/2TG: share of £15,000 pot

There’s also a progressive jackpot of more than £60K (assuming it doesn’t drop in another game in the meantime) which would be split between the full house winner or winners and all of the tickets in the game if someone were to win full house in 33 calls (the chances of which are roughly the same as winning the UK Lotto jackpot).

Very nice – but with 3 days to go, more than 27,000 players have bought tickets for this game so essentially, your chances of winning anything are tiny.

And here’s where Mecca have played a blinder!  They have added a £20,000 “Everyone Wins” sharepot just for Mecca Bingo players.  The £20,000 will be split between all tickets purchased for the game by Mecca players (but not any free tickets used).  You won’t see your share immediately after the game finishes – it will be manually credited to your account within 48-72 hours.

The extra sharepot means that if you have accounts at several Playtech bingo sites (as many players do), it’s a no-brainer to buy your tickets for this big monthly game at Mecca Bingo rather than at one of the others.  And to make it even more attractive for you to do just that, Mecca have added another big game and a live stream to take place in the same time frame.

Mega Money Live

This 90 ball game plays 20 minutes before the June Big Game and again, it’s in a room of its own (which will open at 8pm on 6th June, with pre-buy available now).  Tickets are priced at 10p each with a maximum purchase of 120, and it’s a Mecca Bingo exclusive.  The prizes are:

• Full House: £20,000
• 2 Lines: £10,000
• 1 Line: £5,000

Did I say it’s exclusive to Mecca Bingo?  It is – but that includes Mecca Clubs across the country, where it will be part of the Main Game book for the evening!  The numbers will be called from a designated Mecca Club (to be announced before the game starts) and even if that’s not your club, you’ll still be able to see caller on screen.

Live Stream

The live stream for online players will start at 8pm and run until 9.30pm on Mecca TV.  As well as the two big games taking place during that time, there will be lots of other bingo games with £500 or £1000 guaranteed prize pools in their Main Event room and several other bingo rooms, plus live entertainment hosted by their presenters.  Only the Mega Money Live game has a live caller, though.

Our Verdict

This is not quite live bingo in the way Buzz Bingo does it,  but the combination of clubs and online for the Mega Money Live game should make for a great community feel, and running the live stream at the same time as two really big money games should ensure there’s a proper party atmosphere in the bingo rooms.  Definitely one for the diary!
