The new Daily Record Bingo bears absolutely no relation to the old version which closed in 2017. Essentially it’s a brand new site on the Jumpman platform, with bingo rooms by Pragmatic Play.
Daily Record Bingo actually has quite a long history. Back in the mists of time it was operated by Cashcade (the original owner of Foxy Bingo), and subsequently (starting in 2014) it was on Virtue Fusion. You may not have come across it then, though, unless you live in Scotland; the Daily Record itself is basically the Scottish version of the Daily Mirror and in the Virtue Fusion era Daily Record Bingo was almost identical to Mirror Bingo. South of the border, most of the promotional activity was for the better known twin. That version of Daily Record Bingo was closed in 2017 while the other site limped on.
The new version of Daily Record Bingo joins three other brands themed on Reach plc newspapers which were launched on the Jumpman platform late last year – Star Wins, Express Wins and Mirror Bingo. Again, it’s very similar to Mirror Bingo – but then again, all Jumpman sites are very similar to each other.
Daily Record Bingo has 75, 80 and 90 ball Pragmatic Play Bingo rooms and several regular jackpot games. None of them have any chat, however – it’s not been enabled at Jumpman sites. This is very much in line with the whole concept of a Jumpman site which is – regardless of whether it has bingo in its name or not – that it’s really all about the slots. The welcome offer and most of the player promotions are based around the slots and all bonuses are for slots.
