The 98th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, will take place on Sunday 15th March 2026 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. This year’s ceremony will again be hosted by the American television host, Conan O’Brien, who took over the reins from Jimmy Kimmel last year.
The nominations for 2026 have been announced and already there’s some major talking points:
Here’s how the major categories look:
If you want to see Sinners mentioned another 13 times along with multiple mentions for Hamnet and Marty Supreme, you can find the nominations for the other 20 categories on The Academy website.
The Oscars will be available to watch on ITV1 or ITVX on 15th March at midnight. A live show usually begins at 10:30pm before the main event.
For those in the UK whose sleep is going to be disturbed, we recommend getting a nap where you can before the show starts. Late afternoon, after dinner – whatever works best for you! If you take your awards season seriously, you may want to take the day off work on the 16th (we don’t blame you). The Oscars runtime is three hours, giving it a finish time of 3am.
Lucky for Americans, the Oscars is available to watch live on ABC and stream on Hulu. Beginning at 7pm Eastern time (so prime time evening viewing on the East Coast) which is 4pm Pacific time (in California where the ceremony is actually being held).
This will all change from 2029 as the Academy has signed a deal giving exclusive global rights to YouTube.
If you’re in a more convenient timezone (or you are just a hardcore Oscars fan) you might consider throwing a party for family or friends to watch the Oscars together! Bingo is just one of the ways to make it all even more exciting.
It’s great to see KPop Demon Hunters nominated for Animated Feature Film and Music (Original Song). A win in either category counts for KPop Demon Hunters win.

You can also add your own items to the card if you want – just add them to the list before you generate your cards.
It’s really simple! Just press Generate Bingo Cards and then choose whether you want to print your cards or invite your friends by email. Every player will receive a different card! As you watch, tick off the events as they happen and try to be the first to call bingo!
