Rhino is a UK facing sportsbook and casino with a welcome offer that consists entirely of spins on that modern classic slot game, Bonanza. It’s also one of only a very few UK online casinos to offer live casino games by Ezugi as well as by Evolution.
Rhino was launched in 2021 but the casino offer is new, not widely available and a bit of a change from the usual type of welcome offer. The spins do have a wagering requirement but it’s much lower than most. And just as the offer is a bit different to the usual, so is the site itself.
First let’s take a quick look at the sportsbook, which is nice and simple to use with odds displayed fractionally. As well as a wide range of football and horse racing markets, they cover darts, snooker, greyhound racing and mixed martial arts amongst others. In-play bets were available on football, tennis, basketball and snooker when we visited and there’s also a Virtuals lobby area where you can place bets on virtual football, motorsport, golf , horse and greyhounds if there’s nothing live that catches your eye.
The casino lobby at Rhino has a number of different tabs (several of which start offscreen on mobile devices and have to be accessed by swiping). As well as the usual Popular and New there’s areas for Rhino Reels (games included in a weekly promotion), Slingo, Instant Wins, LuckyTap, Drops and Wins and there’s also Table Games for non live versions of blackjack, roulette, baccarat and so on. All of this makes it considerably easier to find games you want to play and although some providers including Microgaming, Playtech, Eyecon and PlayNGo are not represented, there’s still lots of different types of games to choose from.
Games can be filtered by the studio but that can be slightly confusing. For example, the small selection of NetEnt games appear under Evolution (the parent organisation) and the rather larger selection of Slingo games appear under Gaming Realms. There’s also a facility to search for games by name. It’s not as powerful as some as it doesn’t start to return results until three characters have been entered, but still perfectly adequate; it’s also got the slightly odd foible that near misses remain in the search results but get pushed down by exact matches, which can be helpful if you can’t remember the exact name of the game you want.
The live casino lobby boasts an equally large number of tabs. Game providers Ezugi and Evolution have their own areas as do the game types you’d expect – roulette, baccarat, blackjack and gameshows – and a couple you perhaps wouldn’t. Speed Games contains speed baccarat, blackjack and roulette tables and Asian includes Dragon Tiger, Sic Bo, Andar Bahar and Teen Patti. As well as the before mentioned providers there’s live casino games by Pragmatic Play including various game shows and Big Bass Crash.
The casino at Rhino doesn’t have a promotions page as such; a few promotions appear on a slider in the lobby along with information about newly added games. As well as taking part in Pragmatic Play’s long running Drops & Wins promotion (the live casino version as well as the slots version), when we visited there was a weekly stake and get slot spins promotion as well as a couple of sports promotions, one offering free spins as a reward.
While there’s plenty of choice of games to play at Rhino, there’s no choice about what deposit method to use – it’s one of those casinos that accepts debit cards and nothing else. If that’s not an issue for you, this refreshingly different casino and sportsbook combo could be just the thing.
The Responsible Gambling policy is in a pop up which covers the screen on mobile and pops out from the side on larger screens. It has the usual links, advice and instructions on how to use their safer gambling tools (which are the basic deposit limits, reality check, time out and self exclusion with no extras).
