MrQ burst on to the scene in 2018 as something entirely new – a brand new bingo site on a brand new platform, with no wagering requirements ever. The people behind Mr Q have years of experience in online bingo but even so, this was a brave endeavour.
Apart from being on a new bingo software platform that is not networked with any other site, MrQ has several other special features:
At launch, MrQ had four bingo rooms running regular games complete with chat but without the power of networking it was always going to be hard to keep up player numbers and prize money. Now, there’s just the 90 ball Pinch a Penny room which runs 1p bingo games at lunchtimes and in the evenings, another 90 ball room called Cheap as Chips, and the 75 ball Full Monty room which runs one game a day, and a bit of an odd game at that as it has no actual prize money, only a substantial progressive jackpot which drops if someone completes the pattern in sufficiently few calls (this has happened on at least one occasion). There’s also a free 90 ball room which is available for 30 days after making a deposit (including your first deposit); it runs games every 10 minutes from midday to midnight paying out the princely sum of £1 (in cash)
Ticket purchases at MrQ can be made via Quick Buy which has options for 6, 18, 60 or 192 tickets or by selecting tickets individually. Prebuy facilities are better than on the Dragonfish platform as tickets can be bought for the next game as soon as a game starts. Full Monty runs in its own bingo room so tickets can be bought up to 24 hours in advance. If you want to play lots of games in succession, though, you’ll need to stay online and in the room to buy tickets.
One area where MrQ really excels is customer service – we found it to be speedy, polite and helpful.
When MrQ originally launched, they only had slots by Eyecon and one other provider. Led by what players want, they’ve now added a lot of other very popular games including Starburst, Fishin’ Frenzy, Immortal Romance, Book Of Dead and Bonanza and there’s also a live casino area with game shows. The lack of wagering requirements means that any free spins you may be given really are free spins, with the winnings paid in withdrawable cash. MrQ also actively monitor the Return To Player of variable RTP slot games at other casinos to ensure that they are offering the best Return to Player available on all their slot games, as well as showing the RTP of each game on the loading screen.
The effect of all this has been to shift the emphasis at MrQ from “bingo site with slots” to “slot site with a bit of bingo” and they’ve even got some live dealer casino games now. So if your main interest is bingo and you’re looking for a site with big bingo prizes and lively chat, MrQ isn’t going to hit the mark (indeed, there’s no chat at all in the bingo rooms now). In the rapidly growing “slots with a bit of bingo” space, though, it’s another story and we LOVE the way that the free bingo is being used as a perk, providing entertainment value and modest prizes for regular depositors.
All in all, Mr Q is a breath of fresh air in a world of identikit bingo skin sites and well worth a try if you hate wagering requirements and fancy a change from the same old same old.
