Who are MT Securetrade?

MT Securetrade is a part of GiG (Gaming Innovation Group), a huge Malta based iGaming technology company.

It all started with their first slot site GUTS which was an EveryMatrix white label, but it wasn’t long before they obtained their own licence after developing their own platform – which was soon extended to include sportsbook and poker.

GiG now have several of their own brands, not all of which are available to UK players.  This isn’t because they are not up to UK standards, but because they use the innovative new PayNPlay model which isn’t currently compatible with UK regulations.  At a PayNPlay casino, all of the customer data, age and identity verification and so forth is handled by the payment processor Trustly and not by the casino, which means that players do not need to open an account before playing.

As well as a full white label casino solution, GiG offer sports betting and media services and even write their own slot games.  They are moving into regulated markets worldwide including Spain, Sweden and New Jersey and to cut a long story short, are well on the way to world domination.

GiG actually have two UK operator licences, one for Betit Operations Limited (for their more innovative house owned casino sites) and one for MT SecureTrade Limited (for the less exotic house sites and all white labels).

Are MT Securetrade Casinos All The Same?

MT Securetrade Casinos are very far from being all the same.  Apart from the theming and gamification (which we’ll come on to in a minute) they all have different welcome offers and some have a bigger range of games than others.

Another thing that can vary wildly is wagering requirements (they start at a very reasonable 25x bonus) and this is not just between casinos – different offers at the SAME casino can have wagering requirements ranging from 35x bonus to a massive 100x bonus.  There’s even a ridiculous 300x bonus at one casino (but this is an enhanced wagering requirement that only needs to be filled if the player wants to avoid a cap on winnings from the bonus after getting a big win with it).

What Do MT Securetrade Casinos Do Well?

In a word, gamification.

This is a tricky thing though because of the rather draconian gambling advertising regulations in the UK; since anything which resembles a video game or RPG or has child appealing cartoons in it cannot be accessible to anyone under 18, most of the gamification is usually not visible until after login.  Perhaps the most overt gamification that can be seen by the casual visitor is at Rizk – the Captain Rizk character has quite an adult feel and the gamification is in the form of a gambling style game (the Wheel of Rizk).  Other MT Securetrade casinos can look very different when viewed from the UK than they do when visited from other locations – if you ever happen to visit Malta, take a look at a few from your phone and you’ll see how much more exciting they look (we can’t show you a screenshot, for obvious reasons).

Some MT Securetrade casinos such as the now defunct Ikibu have very highly developed gamification and some such as Dunder Casino have little or none, so there’s bound to be one that offers the right level for you.

What’s Not So Good?

The previously mentioned very steep wagering requirements at some (not all) MT Securetrade casinos are the main disadvantage of playing at this type of casino site and because different wagering requirements may apply to different offers it is especially important to read the terms and conditions before accepting a bonus or you may get a nasty surprise.
