Unfortunately we can't bring you an offer for Mr Rex at the moment. We're working to fix this, but in the meantime please visit our UK Slot Sites page for lots of other great offers
Mr Rex is a very stylish looking casino and sportsbook that launched in late 2021.
To be honest, when we first heard the name Mr Rex what sprung to mind was a dinosaur. Visit the MrRex site, though, and you’ll find it has quite a different vibe – he turns out to be a suave gentleman in a bowler hat and bow tie (which also forms part of the site logo). The branding persists across both parts of the site; in the casino Rex is brandishing chips and in the sportsbook, a tennis racquet. Promotions from both parts of the site appear together on the promotions page and it’s clear that it was originally conceived of as a casino and sportsbook and neither product is an afterthought.
You’re here to hear about the casino but we’ll just touch briefly on the sportsbook. It’s got every football bet you could possibly want plus a strong showing in other ball sports and a good selection of other sports and esports. Odds default to decimal but can easily be set to fractional (the norm in the UK) via a dropdown menu. The only gripe we have about the sportsbook is a bit of an odd one – the font isn’t the easiest to read.
On to the casino. It’s got quite a different look to most Aspire casinos, especially on a desktop computer where the game tiles are if anything a bit big (on mobile, they are an ideal size). The distinctive orange and white brand colours and different font really make it stand out from other sites on the platform.
There’s not much classification of games in the lobby – they don’t even have a section for new games, just a few “latest games” in the main lobby area – but go into the All Games area and you’ll discover a system for filtering by provider that is a joy to use, with no fiddly drop down menu. You simply tap the logo for the provider whose games you want to browse. There’s also a powerful search box that starts to display results after you’ve put in just two characters.
Although there’s no area for progressive jackpots, they do have some; a search for “JPK” turned up no less than 5 of Blueprint’s Jackpot King titles and there may well be others.
The live casino area contains games by Evolution; roulette, blackjack and baccarat each have their own section. There’s also a number of game shows but they are just mixed in with the others in the main listing.
As at most Aspire casinos, the promotions page isn’t a strong point; apart from the casino and sports welcome offers there was just one promotion (a slots leaderboard) available when we visited.
Mr Rex is probably best suited to players who want fuss free mobile play as the rather pared down lobby is very much geared towards that. The site certainly manages to stand out from others on the Aspire platform, partly due to that and partly due to the very decent welcome offer.
Aspire’s Responsible Gaming Policy is long winded but only offers the basic safer gambling tools – deposit limits, reality check, time out and self exclusion. You can also opt out of marketing materials without invoking any of the other tools.
