Paypal Bingo Sites

Many UK bingo sites accept Paypal and it is very popular, largely because so many people already have a Paypal account and it’s so quick and simple to use to deposit and withdraw.  At Paypal bingo sites you can play real money bingo online without having to give your card or bank details to the bingo site.

PayPal Bingo Sites

Paypal BingoMany online bingo sites offer PayPal as a payment method and this is very convenient for players as so many of them already have a PayPal account.  We also have listings for slot and casino sites that take PayPal .

What is PayPal?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 25 years you will know that PayPal is an e-wallet that is widely used to buy and sell items on eBay (in fact it was owned by eBay until a few years ago). There are other e-wallet systems such as Skrill and Neteller and other e-wallet apps such as MuchBetter but none of them have anything like the popularity with the general public that PayPal has; currently there are over 200 million PayPal accounts worldwide.

Why Use PayPal For Online Bingo?

  • PayPal accounts can be funded by debit card, by linked bank account or even by selling things on Ebay so you can deposit at a Paypal bingo site without having a card at all.
  • If you do use a card to fund your PayPal account, the card details are NOT passed to the bingo site.  The card issuer, however, IS aware of where the payment is actually going (and will flag any transactions they consider suspicious).
  • If you use a card directly to deposit at a bingo site you will normally have to withdraw winnings to the same card you used to deposit and if your card number has changed this can cause problems.  If you deposited with PayPal you can withdraw to PayPal regardless of whether the card you funded the PayPal account with is still valid.
  • Withdrawals to PayPal are normally instant once approved by the bingo site, whereas with cards or bank transfer it can take several days.
  • As PayPal is so widely accepted you can use funds that have been withdrawn to Paypal for purchases elsewhere with no need to go via your bank account.
  • There’s an app making it safe and easy to deposit at a PayPal bingo sites while out and about, but it is not necessary to have the app (or even a mobie phone) to make a deposit using Paypal.
  • The deposit process is quick and easy – just select the amount you wish to deposit and press the Paypal button.  You’ll then be invited to log in to your Paypal account to authorise the transaction (and, if necessary, fund it).  Paypal does the rest!

What Else Do I Need To Know?

  • In order to be able to add PayPal as a payment method you need to ensure you register at the bingo site with the same email address as is on your PayPal account.
  • Although PayPal is well known for offering buyer protection (e.g. for eBay purchases that are not received or not as described), be aware this does not extend to online gambling.
  • Bingo and slot sites often exclude deposits made with some types of e-wallet from bonus offers and/or impose fees or extra restrictions.  In the past this has only applied to Skrill and Neteller but increasingly these days they are also including PayPal, so be sure to read the terms and conditions of the offer before you deposit.
  • Some of the bingo sites that accept Paypal deposits only do so from existing players, not new players – you would need to register and verify a debit card and use it to make a deposit before you can add Paypal as a deposit method.
  • Since 2020 UK players have been banned from using a credit card to deposit at bingo sites (or for any other form of gambling) and this includes using a credit card to deposit via PayPal.  A few operators stopped taking Paypal at all because of this. Most are continuing with it because PayPal have put a process in place to ensure credit cards are disabled as a funding method for anything flagged as a gambling transaction.
  • Although PayPal is a good option for both safety and convenience the very popularity of the service means it is often targeted by hackers and fraudsters.  Following simple security recommendations such as making sure your PayPal password is strong and NOT the same as any of your other passwords, and never giving it to anyone who claims to be from PayPal or logging in via a link sent by email, helps protect users.
