Cleopatra Mega Cash Collect is 3x4x4x4x3 slot from Playtech with four potential jackpots, a cash collect game and a free spins round that plays out on an expanded grid.

Cleopatra – now that’s an original idea for an online slot theme, said the person who’d been living on Mars for the past decade. And there really is no let up from developers – they just don’t quit.

We won’t bore you any more details about the theme. But it looks great, with the reels set near the River Nile. Joining the hieroglyphic styled playing card icons are coins, diamonds, cat statue, a scarab jewel, a snake, ankh and the Eye of Horus.

The cat and jewel pay up to 120x your bet, followed by the snake which awards up to 90x. Things are made interesting by the cash collect feature which triggers when you land the representative symbol on the first and fifth reel. All diamonds and coins are then collected.

The free spins round is activated by collecting one or more +3 symbols. Each of these awards three spins on an expandable game area. New rows are opened with a key symbol while diamonds award random jackpot prizes.

Cash collect icons also remain for three free spins and you’ve also got dropping wilds, sticky cash and cash spreader symbols which result in stacked wilds, expanding symbols and instant multiplier awards respectively.

Buffalo Blitz Megaways is the third entry in the series of games from Playtech inspired by bison – takes all sorts we suppose. Highlights include multiplier wilds, four progressive jackpots and a special Jackpot Blitz bonus game.

In terms of appearances, BBM is almost identical to its predecessors save for the reel configuration. The game includes the same background and the same passable reel symbols.

In fairness though, visuals were never been the main selling point of the Buffalo Blitz games. It was always about the in-game features, in particular the free spins round which has been updated handsomely for this latest effort.

As with all Megaways games, the reels on BBM contain 2 to 7 symbols. An additional row sits above the main set which can help create additional matching symbols. The symbols can appear stacked on each reel with a minimum of three required to create a win.

Diamond Wild symbols are in play here which can help create combinations. They can appear on the second and sixth reels. The aforementioned free spins round includes four different modes. To gain access you’ll need to land four, five or six scatter.

You’ll then be presented with four options: Blitz, Thunder, Buffalo or Mystery Free Games. Although we don’t have the space don’t to go into these here (see our November slot of the month for more info), it’s possible to as many as 20 free spins or wild multipliers of up to x10. You can also win extra free spins by landing scatters during each mode.

Age of the Gods: God of Storms 2 is the latest in an endless line of AOG games. Confusingly, this Ancient Greek caper has been developed by Playtech Vikings. Not to worry though because, like its many stable-mates, it’s packed with features including a wild wind re-spins bonus feature and no less than four progressive jackpots.

Visually, AOTGGOST (even the acronym is long) is like most of the other games. It’s look decent enough without really pushing the envelope in terms of design ingenuity. Playing card icons make up to the low value symbols while mythical characters make up the premium symbols. These include Artemis and a Spartan warrior who’s the highest paying, rewarding up to x20 your stake for a five symbol combination.

Once again, two wilds are in play – a standard one which replaces others to create winning combos and an Argo ship wild. This can appear stacked on the middle three reels and also replaces other paying symbols. However it can also trigger the wild re-spins bonus feature when at least one covers a whole reel.

When said feature activates, Aeolus blows the ship to the left by one reel for each re-spin, thus increasing the number of rows and re-spins. This continues until the ship drifts out of view. To receive the full benefit of the wild re-spins feature, you’ll want the Argo ship to appear on the fourth reel. You’ll be able to read more about this in our March slot of the month article.

The Age of the Gods jackpot round is also present and correct. It gets activated randomly and you get the chance to choose from 20 coins with the goal of matching three. Anaconda Wild II is a six reel update of Playtech’s popular 2018 game. Some of the best bits include special wilds and an attention-grabbing bonus game as well as 50 pay-lines.

Yep, Playtech has taken us back to the South American tropics once more and things look and sound quite familiar. The same pebble-blighted Mayan flute still warbles with each spin while the reels are decorated with typical treasure-hunting bric-a-brac including a dagger, ring and goblet.

This time out though, the reels are set against a golden Mayan temple with a bit of jungle foliage in the foreground. Oh and they’re green now instead of blue. It’s clear then that this is more a lick-of-paint update than a ground-up creation – as far as presentation goes anyway. The main difference is to be found with the bonus game multipliers – see below.

The goal of course is to land three, four, five or six symbols from left to right across a pay-line. And like the first game, a Mayan queen is the most valuable paying out 12x your stake if she appears six times in combination. Also in play is a wild symbol that substitutes other symbols but also pays out 20x your stake.

A special wild is also active and can trigger the Wild Re-Spins feature. The mechanical snake of the first game then appears, moving across the reels turning all symbols it covers wild. After the snake stops moving, a meter spins that unveils a multiplier of up to 25x. This wasn’t available in the main game and is effectively, what sets the game apart from its predecessor. Another re-spin then takes place with any extra wilds locked in position.

Adventures Beyond Wonderland is a five reel slot from Playtech featuring 243 pay-lines, expanding reels, a free spins round and progressive jackpot.

The game is of course based on Lewis Carroll’s diminutive heroine, Alice and her curious dream-world exploration. Thematically, ABWS is an absolute triumph. The five reels are set against a beautifully drawn fantasy background complete with winding fairy-tail tree and a toadstool, upon which sits the famed caterpillar.

Reel symbols include playing card symbols which for once fit the actual theme of the game. They’re designed in Tim Burton typeface and are joined by a top hat, pocket watch, crown and potion bottle. The crown is the most lucrative, paying out 350x your stake when it appears five times in combination.

During the base game, the caterpillar blows bubbles onto positions above the second, third and fourth reels. With each spin the bubbles moves one position to the left – land a winning combination when the bubble bonus is present and you’ll win one of the prizes contained within a bubble. These include multipliers, cash prizes, a progressive jackpot and a drink me potion.

Then there’s the rather long-winded Alice feature in which Alice falls onto the middle three reels, popping the bubbles as she goes and rewarding you with their contents. All symbols that she falls on will also become standard wilds. Although potentially lucrative, you’ll find yourself a spectator while this particular feature plays out.

To trigger the Cheshire Cat Free games round, you’ll need to land scatters on reels one, two, three and five. A random number of free spins are then awarded and they’ll be played out on as many as seven reels, thus boosting your win-ways to 2187.

Djinn of Storms is a five reel, 25 pay-line slot that’s named after an Arabian genie. Highlights include stacked wilds, a potential max stake win of 2500x and three jackpots.

Colourful and well-designed, Djinn of Storms ticks most boxes in the visuals department. The game area is set against a temple while the reels are decorated with a turbinated prince/Justin Trudeau type character, a lamp, jug and serpent.

Justin, sorry we mean the turbinated prince, is the most lucrative symbol and can reward you with 20x your stake if he lands five times on a pay-line.
There are also two stacked wilds in play: A standard Palace Wild that replaces standard symbols to form winning combinations and the Djinn Wild which activates the Multiplier Re-Spins feature.

To gain access, you’ll need to land it stacked on one of the middle three reels. The Djinn character then appears and blows the stacked wild one reel to the left and a re-spin then follows. For each spin, the wild moves to the left and multipliers of up to x5 also come into play. The feature re-triggers if another Djinn wild appears on the central three reels.

Djinn of Storms includes three jackpots of which two are fixed and the other progressive. Three tickers have been installed to the left of the reels which indicates their value. The jackpots activate randomly during play. The Mini Power Play Jackpot pays out £100, the Peak Power Play pays out £3000 and the Mega Power Play (progressive) starts at £20,000.

Leprechaun’s Luck is a five reel slot from Playtech that was released in late 2016. As well as three special bonus features, the game includes a progressive jackpot prize – the main reason why the game’s RTP is so dismal.

Stout, toadstools, a rainbow, harps and four leaf clovers – yeah, you should know the drill by now: we’re in Ireland everybody. Accordingly, the reels are decorated with all of the aforementioned items. The harp is the most valuable paying out 75x your stake if you manage to land it five times on a pay-line.

A standard wild is also in play and can appear on all reels in any position as well as paying 500x your stake when it appears five times. There are three different bonus scatter symbols, of which each includes its own bonus game.

First up is the free spins feature that’s activated by landing its related symbol on reels two, three or four on the same spin. It’s possible to play with up to 20 spins here with a leprechaun dancing across the reels (if you’re lucky), turning symbols sticky for the duration of the round.

Then there’s the pot of gold feature. To trigger it you’ll need to land its bonus symbol on reels one, three and five on the same spin. A mini wheel will then appear at the bottom of the game area with a pointer moving between the numbers 1 and 6. This determines how far you’ll move across a rainbow shaped multiplier cash trail installed above the wheel.

The third feature is the wishing well round. To gain access, you’ll have to land its related scatter symbol on the centre reel. A bucket is then dropped down a wishing well – the further it descends the more lucrative the prizes.

You can win one of the progressive jackpots via the mini wheel or the wishing well. For the former method you’ll be required to illuminate seven colours of the rainbow on the cash trail. For the latter, you’re bucket will need to reach the bottom of the well.

Epic Ape is a six reel slot developed by Playtech featuring 4096 pay-lines a free spins round an unlimited free spin multipliers.

By today’s high standards, the game just about cuts it in terms of aesthetics. The six reel game area, entwined in vines, is set against a dense jungle. A variety of exotic species inhabit the reels including a cheetah, jaguar, frog and iguana. There’s also an ape which is the most valuable symbol paying out 12x your stake.

Wins are possible by landing six reels across one of the game’s many pay-lines. A standard wild is in play too which should help in this task. Represented by a diamond, it appears on all reels apart from the first one and can replace each symbol apart from the scatter.

The scatter symbol activates the free games feature, provided you land it in any position on reels three, four, five or six.

You’ll then receive 8, 15, 25 or 100 spins for unveiling 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatters. During the free games round, the diamond wild is assigned a random multiplier value of up to x5. Extra spins are also awarded if you manage to land scatters on the same spin.

Gladiator JP is a five reel slot with 25 pay-lines that includes two bonus features, one of which is a jackpot ‘pick me’ round. The game was released by Playtech in 2012 and is inspired by the Russell Crowe blockbuster movie.

The five reels feature characters from the movie with the game area set against a silhouette of a Gladiator and a coliseum. Basic reel animations are also included all they look quite dated by today’s standards.

Unfortunately, that’s about it thematically. There’s no rousing orchestral score accompanying play, just a bizarre drum and bass track that kicks in for certain features and a rather grating sound-effect that represents each click of the spin button.

There are two bonus features: the Coliseum Bonus and the Jackpot Bonus. The former feature is activated when you land three scatters. A 4 x 5 grid then appears and you’ll get to select a stone for each row.

The first row will decide your number of free spins, the second determines the size of the multiplier that will be in play, the third row unveils an extra scatter for the round and the fourth row reveals an extra wild. It’s possible to win as many as 24 free spins with multipliers of x3. Also keep an eye out for an Emperor symbol on the centre reel which awards an additional three spins.

To gain access to the Jackpot Bonus feature, you’ll need to land three helmet wilds on the second, third and fourth reels. This can be achieved in both the base game and during the Coliseum bonus round.
