In case you were wondering, Heat Bingo has nothing whatsoever to do with Heat magazine.  The magazine did have its own bingo site but that was years ago and this new venture is unconnected – it’s actually a sister site to Win It Bingo.  Yes, new Dragonfish bingo sites really are like buses – you wait ages and ages for one to come along and then there’s two at once!

As a Dragonfish bingo site, how does it shape up?

Ticket prices are mostly from 5p and the prize money is not great, especially at off peak times when there aren’t many players around.  On the other hand, fewer players means a better chance of winning something so if win frequency is more important to you than win size, these Dragonfish rooms may suit you well.  Bear in mind that there is no schedule buy at Dragonfish so if you want to play several bingo games in succession you’ll have to pay attention and not miss the ticket purchase window between a game finishing and the next one starting.

As well as these bingo rooms which run games every few minutes during their opening times, there’s a number of special games which are invitation only (selected players will be sent free tickets) and others which require a recent deposit.

Dragonfish bingo sites are making more and more of their slot games and Heat Bingo certainly buys into this (part of the welcome bonus is for slots). It’s got a particularly pared down version of the Dragonfish slots lobby.  It’s not pared down in the sense that there are fewer games – there certainly aren’t. It’s pared down in the sense that there are not many tabs in the lobby – only Jackpots (which are mostly Fluffy and other Eyecon games) have their own area in any useful sense.  Although there’s tabs for new games and top picks they only contain a few games.  So to find games you want to play, you need to search by name or scroll through the whole lot till you see one you fancy.

On a mobile device, it makes a lot of sense to have a pared down lobby like this to keep the screen free of stuff that does not need to be there, making the slot games easy to play even for those of us with “fat fingers”.  But if you mostly play on a desktop computer, you may prefer to have more game categorisation and info in the lobby.
