Daily Express Bingo went on hiatus after the closure of the Cyberbingo network it originally ran on. 2013 saw its return with GTech software. Unfortunately, after the start of the new UK licensing regime in 2014 the welcome bonus offer became very uncompetitive and it did not come as much as a surprise when the site went on hiatus again in Spring 2016.
In September 2016 a partnership was announced with Gaming Realms under which the site (and the Daily Star Games site) would be operated by its subsidiary Bear Group, which is the licensee for slots sites such as Spin Genie and Slingo.com. It looks likely that the relaunch will be a Spin Genie white label site not containing any bingo; although Bear Group have their own bingo platform called Grizzly this was not very popular when trialled at Spin Genie. What probably will be included is Slingo, but whether it will just be the single player versions or whether the multiplayer version that is akin to 75 ball bingo will make an appearance, remains to be seen – and two years later, neither site has yet materialised.
