Wheel of Slots was a Jumpman powered bingo network that was the first to have no bingo bonuses and no bingo wagering requirements. Instead they pioneered a welcome offer that gives players the chance to win slot spins. The network has now been amalgamated with 15 Network and all sites that were on Wheel of Slots have migrated or closed.
Bingo players have been saying for years that they dislike wagering requirements that prevent them from cashing out their bingo winnings and this network, which ran on the Jumpman bingo software also used by 15 Network, was touted as the answer to that. When you played bingo with cash at these sites, the winnings came as withdrawable cash.
Exceptions to cash play in bingo were the 2 hours of free bingo a day which was available to those who have made a deposit in the last 7 days, and the free bingo tickets to the daily £50 jackpot game which were one of the items that could be won on a spin of the original Wheel of Slots – but win in in either of these and you still won withdrawable cash.
The other items that could be won on the Wheel of Slots were free spins on the Eyecon slots Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Isis and Shaman’s Dream. Which slot you got and whether it was 5, 10, 15, 20, 50 or 500 free spins was determined by where the wheel stopped. Free slots spins had to be played immediately after winning them, but spins on the Wheel of Slots itself – which were earned by depositing £10 and by completing quests on site – could be saved and taken later; up to 5 wheel spins could be held in the Spin Bank at any one time and up to 3 can be used in one day.
Winnings from free slots spins were paid as Free IG Balance which could be used to play either bingo or slots, with all further winnings being paid back into the Free IG Balance. To convert Free IG Balance into cash a wagering requirement had to be filled, and this was calculated on the free spins winnings themselves plus anything that was left in the Free IG Balance immediately prior to spinning the wheel. Arguably the best strategy was to wait to spin the wheel until your Free IG Balance was empty (either because you had run out of funds in there or because it had been converted to cash after filling the wagering requirement) and then use as many spins as possible (bearing in mind that the wheel could not be spun if there was more than £100 in your account).
One important thing to bear in mind was that although cash winnings could be taken out any time, doing so would result in the removal not only of any remaining Free IG Balance but of any unused wheel spins.
If you are used to bingo sites where the freebies (bonuses) can only be spent on bingo tickets and slots play usually has to be in cash, these sites could be a refreshing change as they enabled regular non cash slots play.
In autumn 2017 the Wheel of Slots was changed to feature different slot games. The bingo tickets segment was removed and – as with the Jumpman Slots Mega Reel offer – a win was no longer guaranteed. This version of the Wheel was available at the remaining sites on the network up until December 2018 when the final few sites migrated or closed.
