While there have been real money bingo games on Facebook in the past, none now remain – all of the bingo games it is now possible to play on Facebook are for fun only. It is still worth checking Facebook regularly if you like bingo though as many online bingo sites – especially those with a reputation for running the best bingo promotions – are very active on social media and run lots of Facebook giveaways with bonuses and tangible prizes up for grabs.  Where else would you be able to get your hands on a Tombola hoodie?

Real money gaming is NOT allowed on Facebook in most of the world including the USA. You can SPEND real money on in-game currency for Facebook games anywhere, but only in the UK can you win and withdraw real money from Facebook bingo games.

We say games, but in fact the vast majority of Facebook bingo games, even in the UK, are not real money games.  888 and Gamesys both launched real money bingo games for Facebook but neither were a success with players; the Gamesys product is long since closed and while the 888 product limps on it it has very little to recommend it.

Facebook bingo games which are not real money gaming include all sorts of power ups and level progression, and enable players to get help from their friends.  None of this would be allowed by the Gambling Commission in a real money game as it would affect the RTP and/or introduce skill elements into a game of chance.  The non real money bingo games are therefore much more interesting and fun to play so it is hardly surprising that the real money games were a flop.

Bingo operators have learned how to use Facebook to entertain their players in other ways and many online bingo sites now run player promotions such as quizzes and prize draws via Facebook and other social media channels.
