£5 Deposit Bingo

The industry standard minimum deposit for online bingo is £10 and this generally applies both to a first deposit and to reloads.  It is such a generally accepted standard that welcome offers are commonly publicised based on a £10 deposit - e.g. "Deposit £10, get £40 to play" even when they are actually percentage based offers with a maximum deposit that is considerably greater than £10.

Some players, however, may feel nervous about depositing £10, especially if they have not played online bingo before, either at all or using that particular software or network.   £5 somehow seems like a much smaller sum than £10 to risk, and indeed (depending on where in the UK you live) it can be less than the price of a couple of coffees, so it is not surprising that some people feel more comfortable kicking off their adventures in online real money gaming with this rather modest sum.

There are a couple of things to watch out for with bingo sites that allow deposits of £5 though.  One is that some of them allow deposits of £5 but have a smaller percentage bonus (or in a few cases no bonus) for a £5 deposit.  Sugar Bingo for instance used to offer a decent bonus for a £5 deposit, but a better one for a £10 deposit, and an even better deal including some free bingo tickets for a £20 deposit and this deal clearly worked well as it was still in place a year after launch.

Another is that some sites have a minimum deposit that has to be made before you can withdraw any winnings; this is frequently £10 but on some bingo sites, including a number of Dragonfish bingo sites it is as much as £30.  The best place to look for £5 deposit offers if you want to avoid this type of restriction is on the Virtue Fusion network.  Of the big sites there, Paddy Power Bingo almost always has a £5 deposit offer and other sites have them from time to time.

Something else to consider if you only want to deposit £5 is how far that will actually go.  If the usual card price is 50p, for instance, you could run out of money very quickly even with a generous deposit bonus.  One possible solution is to sign up with a bingo site that offers a lot of penny bingo as well as a £5 deposit offer.

£5 really is the bottom line though as far as minimum deposit goes.  The only exception we have been able to find is the mobile casino/bingo site mFortune, where the minimum deposit is just £3.  They also offer a £5 no deposit bonus making them very attractive to the canny player (and we approve of their approach to wagering requirements, too).

If you don't even want to deposit that much the final alternative is to play with one of the many no deposit welcome bonuses that are available but again, bingo sites that offer these usually have a rule about a minimum deposit that must be made before any winnings can be withdrawn.
