June is when, historically, player numbers on bingo sites have dropped off for the summer because everyone is outside enjoying the warm weather. Now that most sites have a good mobile bingo service, players can take the bingo outside with them – so this is the season for mobile bingo promotions. It’s also the season for music festivals and bingo sites often take that as a theme for their promotions.

The Virtue Fusion / Playtech bingo network is where all the really big money games are in the world of online bingo. Bingo Linx games play several times every day across the entire network, typically with prizes of £1000+, and at certain times of the month the prizes get even bigger including a total of £250,000 in prizes over the final weekend of every month. The downside of such huge prizes is that so many players are involved that the chance an individual player has of winning is pretty small. The main network promotion for June is £150,000 Penny Bingo; the 1p games play from 6pm – 11pm every day with £1000 in guaranteed prizes every hour and the schedule includes 2 hours in the network 90 ball room, 1 hour in the network 75 ball room and 1 hour each of Rainbow Riches and Deal Or No Deal 90.
Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo migrated from Gamesys to the Virtue Fusion platform back in August 2016 but these sites do NOT look and play like regular Virtue Fusion sites. Instead the bingo rooms and lobby look very much as they did prior to the move, with the Virtue Fusion software running quietly in the background; this brings Cash Cubes (and now Bouncy Balls) on to the desktop without the new style (HTML5) Virtue Fusion bingo lobby – a welcome development for the many players who dislike the new lobby. Of the two sites, Fabulous has fewer ongoing promotions; it used to have a better welcome offer but now it just has more bingo bonus and less slots bonus than Sun’s offer.
Sun have a daily £150 free bingo game every evening in June; all players can claim 6 tickets by visiting the room shortly before the game plays at 8.30pm. Roll On Bingo runs in the Candy Room for three hours every day from 19th – 25th June, starting at 10am, 7pm and 10pm; each game has one Roll On full house prize of £10 bingo bonus. The Lucky Booklets is a session bingo promotion running until 25th June consisting of a daily prize draw with £1000 bingo bonus to be won each time (prizes of £15, £20 and £100, 3 x wagering requirement). To enter a draw, buy tickets for a bingo session in the Oasis Room.
Sun also have a Game of the Week promotion which offers 100% bonus back (up to £10) on losses, but the bonus can only be used on the same slot again and has a 30x wagering requirement; for 19th – 25th June the slot is Sakura Fortune and the code is FORTUNE. £10 of cash play is needed to qualify. Also from 19th – 25th, there is a £20K prize draw on a selection of slots from IGT (one entry is awarded for each £10 of cash play on Icy Wilds, King of Atlantis or Sphinx Wilds).
The big news from Sun at the moment, however, is not a promotion; it is their successful bid to take the official Guinness world records for largest bingo card and largest set of bingo balls which took place on June 3rd in Blackpool as part of the Having a Ball tour. These records were previously held by Gala Bingo. The Having a Ball tour continues into July and each Friday (until 7th July) there is a series of £300 guaranteed games with a further £200 for 1TG/2TG; the games play in the Romance Room between 6pm and 7pm.
Fabulous have a £1000 cash bingo game every Thursday during June; to gain access players have to deposit and play £10 on bingo during the preceding 7 days. They also have a Game of the Week offer but it is nothing like as good as the one on the sister site – after opting in with the code of the week players get triple loyalty points for cash play of £10 or more
Bgo have some exclusive BGO World bingo rooms and a £5 no deposit bingo bonus offer with a difference (it can be claimed once a month by existing players as well as by new players), plus an excellent selection of slots and a very nice slots/casino welcome offer that can be taken as an alternative to bingo bonus. They used to have a no deposit free spins offer that was open to everyone whatever their choice of welcome bonus but this has now been replaced with a considerably more generous (£10) no deposit slots bonus (be aware that some slots are excluded). The Big Competition runs every month; to qualify for the three special games on the last Friday of the month 30th June) players need to deposit £20 and play £10 on bingo and £10 on mini games in the exclusive Fairy Delight bingo room. These games have shopping voucher prizes on top of the regular prize pot. June Jamboree centers on a £500 free game which will play on 30th June; players can win 6 free tickets to this game (up to a maximum of 24) by getting a FH win in the 5p qualifiers which take place 4 times a day in the Fairy Delight room. BGO also often have slots promotions in their Vegas section but this week’s are casino promotions (blackjack).
The really big news from Bgo at the moment has little to do with bingo promotions but everything to do with absolutely astonishing strokes of luck and huge wins. As almost always when someone wins an enormous sum of money at a bingo site the game in question wasn’t bingo but a progressive jackpot slot. What makes the story so incredible is that this particular Bgo player won the IGT Megajackpots progressive not once, but TWICE – after winning £1.13 million on Good Friday they won another £627K on the same slot (Megajackpots Star Lanterns) just three and a half weeks later. Bgo say that the chance of this happening (given the £20 spin value the player was using, which gives a better chance of winning the jackpot than lower value spins do) was 1 in around 625 million (though it should be noted that this is not much worse than the chance of winning the top prize in the Dragonfish million pound sliding jackpot game).
At Bet365 there is almost always a big exclusive going on. Garden Party runs on a weekly cycle from 29th May till 25th June. Each week, players can collect up to 36 tickets for the All-Winners Finale Hour which runs from 8pm on the Sunday, by winning them in the 5p Heatwave games during the week (in which case they will need to be in the room immediately before the games start to claim the tickets) or by buying for 50p each. Ten games play during the finale hour and each has a 1L prize of £15, a 2L prize of £30 and a FH prize from a list including barbecues, a patio heater, outdoor furniture and a Bluetooth speaker. Also on a garden theme, Game of Gnomes is on site from 19th – 21st June offering the opportunity to win 200 loyalty points. To participate, complete £5 of cash play on bingo and guess the number of garden gnomes in the picture; the number then has to be entered as the second half of a promo code starting with GNOME and this can only be done in the new (HTML5) bingo lobby. All correct guesses win 200 loyalty points (if no-one gets it right the points will be given to the closest guesses).
Bet365 also have Ready Steady Go, which is a regular double your winnings promotion that runs every other week (5th – 11th and 19th – 25th June). To qualify players need to opt in (this only needs to be done once) and play in the 6 featured bingo rooms. Any cash wins in these rooms from cash ticket purchases will be doubled up to an extra £10 for play on desktop, another £10 for play on tablet and yet another £10 for play on mobile. The cash has to be withdrawn or played within 7 days.
Bet365’s exclusive bingo rooms include the Mojo Lounge which runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9pm with all cards at 5p and at least 50 Roll On prizes. FH winners also have the opportunity to choose a Mojo Vault key. If the key they pick opens the vault they win £20 bingo bonus. If no-one manages to open the vault during the evening the amount is incremented by £5 and this continues until someone wins. To get into Mojo Lounge for the week you have to spend £10 cash on bingo over the preceding weekend (or any time up until 30 minutes before the first game). Bet365 now have the new style (HTML5) bingo lobby and rooms, with the option to use the old Flash lobby if preferred. Lastly there is the rolling Bingo Slots Club promotion. Opt in and earn one loyalty point for each £10 played on slots (but do be aware that only slots in the Games section of Bet365 Bingo count, not slots from elsewhere on site) , and at the end of the 2 week period an extra slots bonus (with a 20x wagering requirement) is given out for reaching a certain level of Loyalty Points on a certain number of days – this ranges from £1 for getting 10 Loyalty Points on 2 of the days to a whopping £1000 for getting 2000 Loyalty Points on 10 of the days. Qualifying periods are 12th – 25th June, 26th June – 9th July and 10th – 23rd July.
Sky Bingo continues to run a set of promotions to tie in with its recently launched exclusive 40 ball bingo variant, Tipping Point Bingo – themed on the ITV game show. This has a similar game mechanic to Rainbow Riches Bingo, with 8 numbers per ticket arranged in two clusters of 4, and prizes for 1 cluster and full house. The progressive jackpot is much more straightforward, though – split 50/50 between the winner and the other players for bingo in 12 calls or fewer. Ticket prices are 10p – 25p and there’s a maximum of 30 tickets per player per game. There’s plenty of opportunities to try this new room out for free; not only is £25 of the welcome bonus offer earmarked just for Tipping Point Bingo, but every evening between 8pm and 9pm until further notice 10 free games, with £100 bingo bonus (1 x wagering requirement) to be won each time, alternate with 10p ticket games.
The Friday night Tipping Point Drop Zone continues to run until at least the end of June with £3000 of prizes each time, from one of the four drop zones (check on the day to see which one it is). The extra Win Zone feature runs on Tipping Point Bingo from 9pm – 11pm every Tuesday and Saturday (30 games in each session). After every game, the feature runs causing up to 10 counters to drop; these are worth £10 each apart from the jackpot counter which is worth £1000. Whatever drops will be shared 50/50 between the winner and the community (with individual payouts depending on the number of tickets held). Opt in with the code of the week (FINALROUND3 for 17th – 20th June) and play in 25 or more of the Win Zone games to enter the weekly prize draw; 150 players each week will win prizes of cash, bonus, shopping vouchers or tech items and all other entrants receive a consolation prize of 3 free tickets to the next Win Zone game (which they must be in the room to claim).
The Leveller slots prize draw promotion is also back for June and the draws take place every Monday. Each week, players can opt in and earn tickets by playing slots (1 ticket per £5 of cash play, 2 tickets if it is on the game of the week). Earn 10 – 50 tickets to enter the £2500 prize draw, 51 – 100 tickets to level up to the £5000 prize draw or 101+ tickets to level up to the £10,000 prize draw; the prizes are paid as slots bonus with a single playthrough requirement and 7 day expiry. Until 25th June, the game of the week is Amazon Wild and the code to opt in is LEVEL3.
Sky players can also visit the Vegas section of the site using their Sky Bingo login to try out the new Tipping Point instant win game. Sky Vegas almost always have some kind of big multi level promotion running and one of these, £1000 Grand Canyon, runs on a weekly cycle until 2nd July. Each week, players can collect points (at the rate of 1 point per £1 of cash play on slots, £5 of cash play on table games or £10 of cash play on card games) to receive a series of bonuses, starting at £1 for 50 -99 points and going right up to £600 for 100,000+ points (£1031 including the lower level bonuses). The bonus has a 1 x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry. Running alongside is 20/20 Free Spins; this gives out 20 free spins on the Monday (until 3rd July) to everyone who completed £20 of cash play on slots the previous week. The free spins can be used on any of 7 slots and winnings are paid as cash with no wagering requirement. The Sky Vegas Prize Machine is also back on site from June 6th – August 13th; after opting in, players can play this free game once a day. Prizes include free scratchcards, free spins and various types of bonus and there are no wagering requirements on winnings from any of these.
At Mecca Bingo there’s the usual series of slots promotions, including a game of the week promotion which gives 100% bonus back on losses for players who opt in with code WKGAME and deposit and play £10 on the specified slot; the bonus has a 20x wagering requirement, can only be used on the same slot again and the maximum bonus is £10. This week (until 25th June) the slot is Witch Pickings.
The Great Mecca Giveaway started on 5th June and runs until 9th July; to participate the first thing players need to do is opt in with code GIVEAWAY. Each week, a player can collect up to 2 draw entries – one by depositing and playing £10 on bingo and one by depositing and playing £10 on slots. The draw takes place at the end of the promo period and there are 5 holiday voucher prizes – £2500 for 1st place, £1250 for 2nd, £1000 for 3rd, £500 for 4th and £250 for 5th. Three other promotions run under the same umbrella. Summer Surprise Bingo awards an extra mystery prize to line and FH winners of the special games which play at 2pm and 10pm every day; mystery prize winners also get 6 free tickets (up to a maximum of 60) to a game on 13th July in which 3 iPads will be won. Free Bingo Sundays awards access to up to 6 free bingo games which run at various times on Sunday afternoons and evenings; deposit and play £5 in the new look (HTML 5) bingo rooms for access to just the 2pm £500 game, and deposit and spend more to gain access to more of the games (£100 for access to all 6 games including the 9pm £2000 game). Free Spins Frenzy awards one of 6 free spins sharepots each week depending on how much is deposited and played on slots that week (ranging from a share of 6000 free spins for depositing and playing £5 up to a share of 36,000 free spins for depositing and playing £100); opt in with code SPIN36.
Paddy Power Bingo and Betfair Bingo are both part of the same organisation, the megabookie created by the merger of the two parent companies which was completed last year. Despite having a shared bingo room the sites are different in character. They usually have a shared exclusive promotion and this week (19th – 22nd) it is a 10% stakeback on 90 ball bingo, paid as a bonus up to £20 with a 5x wagering requirement and expiry on 30th June; opt in with code STAKEBACK90.
The big news at Paddy Power is that they finally have the new (HTML5) bingo lobby, although for the time being players can still play in the classic (Flash) lobby if they prefer. The site also has a number of regular exclusives. Money Back Mondays is one of these; it requires opt-in but this only has to be done once a month. The promotion involves three £100 guaranteed games that play between 7pm and 10pm; if you play these games and don’t win overall, your cash stakes will be refunded as bingo bonus.
Betfair has few exclusive bingo promotions but they do include rather a good regular free bingo promotion; £25 of cash play on bingo Monday – Thursday secures entry to Friday’s VIP Lounge bingo room which comprises 3 hours of free bingo from 7pm, with a total prize fund of £1500. Occasionally they run one-off exclusives; these can be in the bingo section only or sitewide (often in conjunction with sporting events such as horse races) and include leaderboard promotions and sharepots. By far the best promotions at Betfair, however, are slots promotions to be found over in the Arcade section – and they include an amazing £15,000 weekly free bets raffle that you only need to play one single slots cash spin to enter! There’s no need to open another account to play the slots there as the same wallet can be used in both places.
Gala Bingo were the first of the big Virtue Fusion bingo sites to introduce the HTML5 bingo lobby, over a year ago now, and their version of it includes the option in some rooms of placing a range of side bets (odd/even, colour, pairs or high/low) on the ball on which bingo will be called! Although both Flash and HTML5 versions are available on desktop and you can choose whichever you prefer, HTML5 is required to access several of the rooms including the Chase and Emmerdale bingo rooms and the Big Banker room (find out more about these in our article about online bingo variants). Gala offer daily freebies to players who meet the minimum spend (£5 on bingo for a scratchcard for a chance to win bingo bonus, £10 on bingo or slots to play Win-A-Spin for a guaranteed slots bonus prize).
A new set of promotions themed on The Chase started on 12th June and run until 29th July. A special The Chase bingo game plays at 9.30pm every evening with a FH prize of £1000 cash (plus £100 for 2L and £50 for 1L). Tickets are priced at £1 each but any player who won FH in The Chase Bingo the day before and beat the Chaser in the feature round at least once gets 6 free tickets (they have to be in the room before and during the game for the tickets to play). There’s a second special game on Saturday evenings only at 10pm, again with 6 free tickets to be claimed, this time by anyone who qualified for any of the daily games that week, and a ticket price of £1 for everyone else; it has a 1L prize of £100, 2L prize of £200 and FH prize of entry to the Chase Pub Quiz Event (if there are multiple FH winners there will be a draw between them for the prize and runners up will split £250 cash). All ticket holders for the Saturday game also get entry to a prize draw for another Chase Pub Quiz Event prize package. As well as entry to the quiz event for the prize winner and one guest (who must be over 18) the package includes an overnight hotel stay, travel and spending money. The Chase instant games promotion runs from 12th-18th June and again from 19th – 25th June; to enter the £2000 weekly prize draw opt in and play £10 on The Chase Slot, Scratchcard or Fun Drops. Each additional £5 played gains the player one more entry. Everyone who enters also goes into another draw for 2 pairs of tickets for The Chase Celebrity Special.
Deposit Lottery is a new promotion that started on 6th June and runs until further notice; opt in is required but this only has to be done once. Each daily draw has a single prize of £500 cash and players get one entry for each £20 they deposit and play anywhere on site that day.
Coral Bingo has many of the same extra features as Gala Bingo, including Coronation Street Bingo, Big Banker Bingo, Bingo Lotto , Coconut Island Bingo and Emmerdale Bingo and the side bet facility. Coral also has the regular Bingoal room at 5pm every Saturday and Sunday; this is 90 minutes of free 90 ball bingo with no entry restrictions, to play while watching (or instead of watching) the football (outside the football season as well). Each game pays £5 bingo bonus for 1L, £10 bingo bonus for 2L and £15 bingo bonus for FH – these bonuses can only be used to buy bingo tickets, and have to be used within 7 days, but apart from that there are no wagering requirements. The Coral VIP For A Month promotion is running throughout 2017. Each month, a prize draw will take place for all players who have racked up £30 of cash play on bingo during the month, and 5 winners will receive a temporary upgrade for the following month to the Diamond VIP level (which includes weekly cashback and 2 x weekly £500 free bingo sessions).
A Royal Ascot themed promotion is on site from 19th – 23rd June. Each day, players can earn a £5 free sports bet token (credited the next day) by playing £10 cash on bingo. The token has to be used all on one bet and is valid for 7 days; any winnings are paid as cash but not including the return of the stake itself.
Slot Showdown runs on a weekly cycle until 25th June. Each week, players can participate by choosing one of the two slots and playing at least £10 on it; there is a £500 bonus sharepot (for the same slot again, with a 10x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) for everyone who picks the most popular slot. The fianl week’s slots are Bouncy Balls and Coconut Island.
One very special thing about Coral is the Coral Connect Card. This allows players to access any Coral product on any device (or in shop or by telephone) and to deposit and withdraw in cash at any Coral shop. This has been in place for some time but now Coral have gone further and introduced true omni-channel play on the Tiki Paradise slot, with extra features that are unlocked by playing on different channels or using Coral Connect.
Ladbrokes Bingo usually have at least one exclusive and for June there is Summer Lovin’, a weekly free bingo session at 9pm on Fridays with bingo bonus prizes plus a £250 Love2Shop voucher for one FH winner. Players get one free ticket (up to a maximum of 5 a day and 30 a week) for each £2 of cash play on bingo, Saturday – Thursday.
William Hill Bingo have a recently introduced exclusive bingo variant on site, via the HTML5 lobby only. Bingo Bowl is a 50 ball game themed on a bowling alley; the 10 numbers appear on bowling pins. As well as a room jackpot for winning full house in 15 calls, there is a bonus game called the Kingpin Jackpot. This consists of a separate card which is marked off whenever someone wins bingo on one of the remaining numbers; there’s a fixed prize of £5 for any number and a progressive jackpot for completing the card. Bouncy Bowl is the newly introduced accompanying slot.
The exclusive promotion for June is a daily £500 free bingo room from 10pm – 11pm; entry is given to all players with £5 or more of cash play on bingo the previous day and the prizes are in cash rather than the more usual bingo bonus. From 19th – 25th June there’s also a 20% daily slots lossback offer; to get it, opt in with the code of the day and complete £10 of cash play on instant games. The bonus has a 10x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry and players can receive up to £100 a day.
Betfred Bingo is another Playtech / Virtue Fusion bingo site with only occasional exclusives but what they do have (as well as their own bingo rooms and the new HTML5 bingo lobby complete with Cash Cubes and Bouncy Balls) is the mother of all welcome bonus offers including a bingo bonus, a slots bonus, a casino bonus and a Lotto free bet. They have an exclusive promotion at the moment though – Spring Into Summer – which is a free bingo promotion. The free games play for an hour from 11am Tuesdays, 9pm Thursdays and 7pm Fridays, and the value of the bingo bonus prizes goes up each week until the promotion ends on 23rd June. Also on 23rd June is the last of three live chat sessions with bestselling author Holly Seddon as part of the Summer Reads promotion, with copies of her book to be won.
Betfred have another special promotion, 50th Anniversary Cash Drop, that runs every Saturday until 2nd September but it includes all Betfred products and is not specific to the bingo section. To be included in the random draws, players need to have made at least 2 deposits and completed at least £10 of cash play anywhere on Betfred during 2017. Qualifying players can get an extra entry by completing £10 of cash play the week of the draw. At 10am on the Saturday, the 50 x £50 cash drops are paid into the winning players’ accounts BUT there is a twist – the players need to claim the cash without delay (by withdrawing or playing with some or all of it). Otherwise, the money is taken back in stages (£10 an hour) until it has all been claimed or removed.
Literally hundreds of bingo sites, on several different networks, use the 888/Dragonfish platform but all have 888 UK Limited as the licence holder. Sometimes 888 run big link games which join together different networks; a series of big games each with a £200,000 prize fund ran at almost all 888 sites in 2015 and early 2016 and following this, a big link 90 ball bingo room was run as a special daily promotion for August 2016. This was done without any guaranteed prizes whatsoever but the sheer number of players ensured that the prize money was always attractive, and it proved so popular that the promotion was indefinitely extended, the first game each evening was given a £1000 guaranteed prize fund, and a 75 ball room was added. The 90 ball room is currently available at almost all 888 sites and a smaller number have the 75 ball room as well.
Another thing and rather less welcome thing that an increasing number of 888 sites (eventually, probably all of them) have in common is a restriction on what can be won when playing with a slots bonus, whether this is a deposit bonus, a free bonus or the winnings from free spins; unless they are lucky enough to win a progressive jackpot, the maximum the player can cash out is £400 plus the value of the original bonus.
Most 888 sites are finally moving away from Flash and on to HTML5 – just in time, as Google Chrome and some other browsers have now started automatically disabling Flash preventing the Flash version from running unless explicitly re-enabled. The way this has been done is simply by serving the tablet version of the bingo lobby and rooms to the desktop and this seems to work well enough apart from the minor annoyance of not being able to buy a strip of tickets in the 90 ball rooms (the top two rows of tickets on the first page make a strip but to buy they have to be selected individually).
The Ignite network (owned by Canadian iGaming giant Intertain who also own Jackpot Joy) includes Costa Bingo and several others. It is well known for its inventive promotions, but some of the sites are much better for promotions than others. No-deposit bonuses and automatic reload bonuses are on offer at many of the sites on this network and another feature which is good for fair play is that most of the regular bingo rooms have a lower than usual maximum purchase of 24 or 48 cards.
Ignite’s Diamond Club cross-brand rewards scheme allows players to collect Diamonds at one site (through play or via special promotions) and redeem them at another, although in order to have the full range of available deals including iPads and iPhones it is necessary to reach the higher levels of the loyalty scheme which is determined by lifetime deposits. The only options for those with deposits of less than £50 are deposit bonus codes and cards to special prize games, which run once or twice a month at many of the sites; the prizes are typically worth around £500 and as well as selling the cards for 10 Diamonds each, the sites give free cards to players who complete certain specified tasks (usually depositing and/or playing) during the promo period.

Ignite also run two sliding jackpot games each week, one on Friday at 10pm and one on Sunday at 9pm. Players can claim up to 6 cards for each of these on the day of the game only, but to be allowed into the bingo room they need to have made a deposit in the last 7 days.
As sliding jackpots go the Friday game (which runs at all Ignite bingo sites) is certainly one of the better ones as the £10,000 cash headline prize does not start to slide until the ball count gets higher than 44 and for the prize to go all the way down to the baseline guaranteed £1000, bingo would have to be in a very slow 70 calls. The game typically has 25,000 + cards in play so it is extremely unlikely that the game would last that long. It also has extra prizes; 1TG players share £1000 bonus and 2TG players share £2000 bonus.
The Sunday game (which does not run at all of the sites) is a much poorer proposition; the ball count required to win the £5000 jackpot is ludicrously low at 29 calls, the baseline £500 is for bingo in 51 or more calls (whereas the Friday prize for 51 calls is £7000) and there’s nothing for 1TG or 2TG. Since the cards are free it is still worth claiming them any week you have made the necessary deposit at a participating site (now including Costa).
Some of the Ignite bingo sites also have their own exclusives from time to time:
Costa Bingo was the first site in the group to open way back in 2009. It is the busiest of the sites with the largest selection of bingo rooms including extra Bingo Vegas rooms. Double Diamond Weekends run every Saturday and Sunday in June, awarding double Diamonds (2 per £1 of play instead of 1) on the featured slots Arcader, Unicorn Bliss, Caspers Mystery Mirror and Fruit Warp – but there is a minimum payout threshold of 100 extra Diamonds each weekend so £100 of cash play is needed to qualify each time. The maximum award per weekend is 1000 extra Diamonds.
At Treasure Bingo the regular Truth or Dare deposit bonus promotion runs most weeks. Each week, for a deposit of £10 – £100, the TRUTH code and the DARE code can be used once each. TRUTH awards a specified bonus and DARE awards a mystery bonus. The TRUTH bonus until 25th June is 70%.
At City Bingo the promotions are themed round a different city each month. The regular Guess the City promotion runs towards the end of each month; players who guess the following month’s destination correctly from the list of options share 250,000 Diamonds. For June City Cat returns to London which is one of his favourite haunts. City has a regular chat tourney, which runs for an hour at a time in a different room and at a different time of day every weekday. It is unlike the usual sort of chat tourney in that instead of getting points for winning bingo, you get them for shouting out a city themed catchphrase (this month it is MIND THE GAP) when your lucky number is called. You then get to pick a grid number to see what your score is and the two players with the highest score at the end of the hour win 2500 Diamonds each. City Bingo has a free daily game, Break the Bank, for players who have deposited at least £5 during the preceding 7 days.
Fancy Bingo , which has recently had a rather radical makeover, is a penny bingo site and most of the regular games have 1p tickets; that is its USP. There’s also a free daily game, Tea Party, for recent depositors similar to that at other sites in the group (but at Fancy, to qualify as a recent depositor the deposit has to have been made in the last 4 days, not the last 7 days).
Sing Bingo has also had a recent makeover. Its theming is musical with a different artist, genre or event featured each month and for June it is the Spice Girls. Sing has a regular chat tourney which runs for 2 hours each day Monday – Friday (a different room and time each day, details on site). The rules for this have recently been changed and unlike the City Bingo tourney it no longer seems to be a team tourney, nor does it depend on winning any bingo games (although players must have at least one card in play to take part and arrive within 30 minutes of the start time). Each player picks a number and gives it to the chat host; first to shout out “I spot my ball” when their number is called wins 2 tourney points plus 250 Sing Points for themselves and 250 for a roomie of their choice. Second to shout out wins one tourney point. At the end of the session the top scorer wins 5000 Sing Points, second place wins 3000 and third place wins 1000. Sing also has Jukebox Jumble, a free game that can be played once a day for 7 days after depositing £5 or more and pays out bonus codes, free spins, Sing Points and so forth.
Ignite also operate two bingo sites, Deep Sea Bingo and Sweet Shop Bingo, which are on the main Dragonfish network instead of their own network. Both these bingo sites have the standard Dragonfish network rooms (including both the 888 big link rooms) and promotions and no exclusives. What they do have, though, is the Diamond Club – so Diamonds from other sites can be redeemed for bonuses there, and Diamonds earned at Deep Sea or Sweet Shop can be used for bonuses and prize game tickets at other Ignite sites.
The Tarco/Netboost network is powered by Dragonfish and the licence holder is 888 UK Limited, but the network and all the sites on it are actually owned by Stride Gaming.
This network has two USPs. The first is complicated welcome bonus offers that include everything but the kitchen sink – bingo bonus, slots bonus, free bingo tickets, free spins and a spin the wheel game – and good examples of this are found at Gossip Bingo and the newest site on the network Ted Bingo. Not all the sites have this type of offer though; Robin Hood Bingo and Tip Top Bingo for instance have plain but generous bingo bonus offers. Other Netboost sites include Loony Bingo, Sugar Bingo, Moon Bingo, Polo Bingo and Cupcake Bingo and also Silk Bingo, which has just had a redesign and new welcome offer.
The other USP is sliding jackpots, of which there are many, some once a month and some every day. If you want to know more about sliding jackpots and what the chances of their actually dropping is, we have a long and detailed article on the subject which you can read here.

The network also has regular fixed jackpot games every evening – the biggest of this, which is on Fridays, is a 90 ball game with £1000 in all to be won (including 1TG and 2TG prizes) and a ticket price of 20p.
Cheap and Cheerful is a BOGOF type network promotion which applies to the six 3p games every day with a fixed £50 jackpot. In order to get free tickets, however, players have to buy 12 strips, which is 72 tickets; they then receive another 4 strips free to make the total up to the maximum 96 tickets at a total cost of £2.16.
Most Netboost sites now have the new network VIP scheme, Diamond Club (not to be confused with the Ignite Diamond Club). This invitation only scheme has four levels (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond) with a fast track to membership for players who have VIP membership elsewhere.
Netboost also run some extra promotions which are notified via a pop-up rather than via the promotions page; the new promotions are only a few days in duration and mostly consist of prize draws, some combined with a leaderboard and some based on spend. This week (15th – 21st) there is the Summer Slots Competition. Players get one raffle ticket for each £50 of cash play on Wild Water or 99 Time. There are 10 prizes of a summer vacation (presumably a holiday voucher) and all players who collect 2 or more tickets will win a share of 500,000 free spins.
The network runs both of the 888 big link bingo rooms under the name Linked and Loaded and has recently reorganised its free bingo rooms; there are now 4 of these and all have the same entry mechanic – 2 days of access subsequent to making a deposit. A £10 deposit unlocks the entry level room and to get access to the Supreme room with its £500 of free bingo requires a £50 deposit.
The main Dragonfish network includes both independently owned sites such as Circus Bingo and its sister sites Pixie Bingo and Oink Bingo, and house owned sites such as Spy Bingo. The advantage of choosing a house owned site – apart from the reassurance of dealing with such a huge and well known operator – is that they are very unlikely to opt out of any of the network promotions. Independently owned sites do opt out from time to time; several, for instance, did not run the massively networked £200K jackpot games last year and many of them do not offer the million pound sliding jackpot games. Another difference is in the range of slots on offer. On the other hand, some of the independently owned sites have exclusive bingo rooms and promotions which can’t be found elsewhere on the network – for example, the aforementioned Circus Bingo has the Pablo’s Nuts bonus game, a £1000 free monthly game for depositors, and a weekly sliding jackpot with the (albeit very tiny) chance of winning a holiday in Las Vegas.
The big news from Dragonfish at the moment is the launch of the new Real Bingo Network. The first site Blighty Bingo launched a few months back and now it has been joined by sister site sZinger Bingo and Hunky Bingo, with two more sites (from different operators) rumoured to be launching imminently. The new network has the USP of not having any wagering requirements; the flipside of that is that there are no bingo bonuses in the normal sense of the word. The welcome offer consists of some free spins and £70 worth of bingo tickets; at the time of writing these consist of 12 tickets for 5 days for the daily £250 jackpot game plus 4 tickets for the Big Bang aka Big 10K (see below for details). Because the Big Bang includes a community payout, players are guaranteed to get at least something from the free tickets. The deal also includes one or more free spins on login every single day (depending on loyalty level). The new network includes some of the regular Dragonfish network rooms (Bounce’T, Big Fat 10 and Spintastic under different names) plus some that are exclusive to the new network, with more on the way as more sites launch.
To take full advantage of all the bingo rooms on the Dragonfish network players need to be frequent depositors as several of the rooms (including all of the free rooms) have an entry condition whereby a deposit must have been made in the last 7 days. Depositing regularly is beneficial for the loyalty scheme as well, as loyalty level is reset every month and depends on how much was deposited during the previous month. The benefits include a modest bonus back on losses, free slots spins and free tickets to the monthly Big £10K community jackpot game (which takes place on the 10th of the month); a single deposit of the minimum the site allows during the month is enough to qualify for the lowest level of these benefits but to get the maximum you’ll need to deposit £200 or more. The Big £10K itself typically has over 15,000 players and although £10K sounds a lot, the line and full house prizes are only £250, £500 and £750 as a result of most of the prize money being split between 1TG (£2000), 2TG (£1500) and all remaining tickets (£5000). If you don’t qualify for free tickets for the Big £10K they can be bought for £10 each but it is hard to see why anyone would want to do this when they could deposit the £10, get 2 free tickets and then be able to play the £10 (plus any associated bonus) elsewhere on site!
The Dragonfish network sites also continue to run the 888 big link bingo rooms, under the names 90s Extreme and Big Fat 10.
Dragonfish sites do not normally have any penny bingo apart from Late Night Show once a day. This 90 ball room is for night owls only as the game runs at quarter to one in the morning UK time. Prebuy is not available until 15 minutes before the game starts and is restricted to 75 players all of whom must buy 96 tickets (at 1p each). The game has cash prizes of £50 for FH, £30 for 2L and £20 for 1L.
There are several smaller groups of sites within the network, running promotions between their own sites only, but the downside of this is that as previously mentioned they may be missing some of the network rooms and promotions.
8 Ball Games run a sizeable portfolio of Dragonfish powered bingo sites including Bingo Irish, We Want Bingo, Glitter Bingo and the more recent launches Pet Shop Bingo and Brown Cow Bingo They have a number of non network rooms and promotions and which ones are available varies from site to site. There’s also an exclusive VIP loyalty scheme which adds various enhancements to the network scheme (including reload bonuses and reduced wagering requirements). The non network rooms are typically open for an hour at the same time each week, some requiring a recent deposit and some open to all. One important difference between 8 Ball sites and other Dragonfish network sites is that many of the 8 Ball sites have a no deposit offer; at some sites this is a set amount and at others the deal consists of a mystery bonus that is guaranteed to be at least £5 but could be much more.
Chit Chat Bingo, Bid Bingo and BingoZino are another group of Dragonfish network sites, all now on HTML5 rather than Flash, that run joint promotions including prize draws. They also have a bonus calendar with a different code awarding a different deposit bonus package for every day of the week. We have been working with Chit Chat to bring you a special deal: the enhanced welcome offer is now available, with a games bonus to add to the bingo bonus and a reduced wagering requirement of 2 x on the bingo bonus itself – to claim, click on the link in the Chit Chat review.
The Silverspin group of sites (which includes Candy Shop Bingo, Lucky Charm Bingo, Bubble Bonus Bingo, and a few others) has two shared 90 ball bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds (3 hours in the afternoons) and Big Night In (4 hours in the evenings). Many of the sites also have the Wacky Wings room (originally a Butterfly Bingo exclusive) which runs a different promotion every evening. Occasionally they have shared promotions such as slots tournaments and special bingo games, but they are missing quite a lot of the Dragonfish network promotions and bingo rooms (for instance, they do not have the million pound sliding jackpot games, the Weekender room or Bounce’T and some do not even have the regular network 90 ball room). They have the standard network loyalty scheme and network wagering requirements (but very annoyingly they lack the screen showing wagering progress). Each of these sites also has a bonus game or regular prize draw promotion but the prizes aren’t anything special. Iceland Bingo used to be part of this group and run the same promotions but after the sale of the rest of the sites to Silverspin and Iceland to a different (though connected) buyer Black Spark, it has separate promotions that are MUCH better than the promotions at the Silverspin bingo sites. It still has the shared bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds and Big Night In, but also has the exclusive Freezer room, a monthly prize draw room and a special bingo game every evening (Monday – Friday) where the prizes are free slots spins on Fluffy Too (100 for FH, 30 for 2L and 20 for 1L). Cards are 20p and players can collect one free card for each £20 of play on any of the Fluffy slots. Winnings from the free spins are paid as slots bonus. Iceland now has a sister site, Safari Bingo, which runs some of the same promotions and both sites have a prize wheel that can be spun after making a deposit for the opportunity to win up to £500 bonus.
The Joy of Bingo network includes 888Ladies, Wink Bingo, Red Bus Bingo, and Posh Bingo (as well as a few others). They share a VIP scheme and some games, mostly the free bingo, which includes some that is open to all players regardless of whether they have made a recent deposit. The best of the free games is on Sunday evenings and only available on mobile and tablet; it used to be networked across all the sites as a 75 ball game with a £250 prize but it seems that 888 Ladies now has its own 90 ball version (with a £200 prize fund). These sites all also have the 888 big link 90 ball room under the name Stack Up and the big link 75 ball room under the name Unwind (at some of the sites these are only available on mobile).
888 Ladies and Wink have a jackpot game called Payday £3000 which is played on the final Friday of each month; it is a 90 ball game with 10p tickets and prizes down to 2TG. Payday £1500 is a similar game with smaller prizes and 5p tickets, which plays at the other sites on the network.
The network has some extra weekend jackpots during June – a 90 ball game on Fridays at 9pm with a ticket price of 5p and a £500 prize fund, another 90 ball game at 9pm on Saturdays with a ticket price of 10p and a £1000 prize fund, and a 5 line game at 9pm on Sundays with cards priced at 15p and a £1500 prize fund. There’s also a daily 75 ball game at 9pm every day and this has a card price of just 1p and prize of £30.
To claim a redeposit bonus at Joy of Bingo sites a code has to be entered and these are usually sent out via email each weekend. Wink players used to get a free spin on the Wink Wheel with every deposit but this no longer seems to be available. At 888 Ladies something similar is being tried – instead of getting a redeposit bonus offer players can deposit with code LUCK to get a free spin on the Lady Luck slot machine (which comes in regular and VIP versions). The machine awards a bonus up up to 88% (99% for VIPs), up to £10 cash or free spins.
New players at 888 Ladies also have a wheel to spin; this promotion was supposed to end on 14th June but is still on site. Players who make a first deposit of £10 or more using code WHEEL receive one spin (which is valid for 7 days) instead of any other welcome offer. The top prize is a 1000% bonus bundle (up to £200) and other prizes include bingo bonus, games bonus, free bingo tickets and free spins. This is an alternative to the normal welcome deposit bonus offer and it is not possible to claim both.
Bingo Hollywood is Dragonfish powered and on a network of its own (the Bingo Stars network) with the recently launched Big Tease Bingo. They usually run at least one exclusive bingo promotion every month, and this month it is called Summer Time. Win full house in any hosted 90 ball room on the ball number that corresponds to the date (#1 on 1st June, #2 on 2nd June and so on and shout out RAIN to win 2000 loyalty points or SUN to win a summer themed mystery prize (BBQ/picnic items, bingo or casino bonus, free spins or free bingo tickets). The regular monthly Paparazzi Points promotion awards points for bingo on the pattern of the month (for June this is the Sun pattern and it runs at half past the hour). 1st on the leaderboard at the end of the month wins £100 bingo bonus, 2nd wins £75 bingo bonus and 3rd wins £50 bingo bonus. Blockbuster Bingo is Bingo Hollywood’s big monthly game. It is a 75 ball sliding jackpot game with a card price of 50p and a headline prize of £10K which will be won if the coverall is completed in an extremely unlikely 32 or fewer calls. The baseline prize of £1000 is for 55 or more calls. June’s chat tourney is called Summer Festival and follows the usual rules, running on weekend evenings from 7pm -11pm in the Red Carpet Room; every team wins loyalty points with the lion’s share (1 million points) going to the top team, but to win the full prize you have to play 100 games or more over the weekend. Play 50-99 and you get half the prize, play 25 – 49 and you just get 1000 loyalty points, play fewer than 25 and you don’t qualify for anything. Slots tourneys also run each month and in June the game to play is the Fruit Blast match-3 game; there are casino bonus prizes (£100/£75/£50) for the top three biggest spenders, the top three biggest winners and the top three biggest losers.
The 888 big link 90 ball games have an extra feature at Bingo Hollywood called Gold Rush. Players who win FH, also win 1000 loyalty points for each gold ball (73 – 90) that is called before 1L is completed in the next game. At the end of the evening the player who wins the most loyalty points in this way wins an extra £20 bingo bonus.
The Fluffy Cuffs room is a new bingo room for the launch of Big Tease. Chat games play from 10pm – midnight and at the end of the month the player who has won in these most often will win an Ann Summers voucher.
One thing to note at Bingo Hollywood is that in order to qualify for any of their promotions players need to have made a deposit during the last 30 days.
Foxy Bingo and other Cashcade sites also use the Dragonfish software (Flash version) on a standalone network but the number of bingo rooms and promotions at this once great site has suffered quite a decline. They reportedly spent £10 million on the recent relaunch featuring Hollywood actress Heather Graham as the Fox so it is little wonder their promotions seem largely geared towards getting players to spend lots of money on slots.
15 Network is the original Jumpman powered bingo network and usually has one main network promotion. For the last few months this has been a weekly slots prize draw and this month’s promotion Summer Party, which started on 6th June, also follows this format. 2 x Summer Party Packs (ice cream maker, candy floss maker, popcorn maker, chocolate fountain and grill) will be won each week (until 26th June); players get one entry for depositing the £25 that is needed to qualify and one entry for each £1 played on the 99 Time slot.
Tuesday Treasure is a free bingo game that plays across the network on the second Tuesday of every month. All funded players can claim up to 96 free tickets and the prize split is FH £400, 2L £200, 1L £160 and £80 each for 1TG, 2TG and 3TG. In previous months there have been up to 200,000 tickets in play, so each ticket only has a very small chance of winning – but it’s free, so well worth claiming max tickets.
Film Bingo usually runs an exclusive leaderboard style event every month, and for June it is called Fab Father’s Day. The prize is a superhero T-shirt, a wooden games compendium and a copy of the adult card game Cards Against Humanity. Score points for a deposit of £20 (10 points), a full house win on number 18 (10 points), a win on the football pattern (5 points) or £20 of cash play on the Jimi Hendrix slot (10 points).
Rocket Bingo offer free bingo games without the requirement to have made a deposit in the preceding 7 days. There are a number of games with £1 prizes every day, a £10 game two evenings a week plus an hour of £10 free bingo games on Friday evenings. If you haven’t tried Rocket Bingo yet, now is a good time, as there is a temporary extra on the welcome offer of a £5 Amazon voucher. Additional promotions are run via their Facebook page.
Prize draws are the most common type of exclusive promotion found at 15 Network bingo sites; this month, for example, there is a garden gift hamper to be won at Lollipop Bingo; 1 entry is awarded for each £10 deposited during June.
The Wheel of Slots network also runs on the Jumpman platform. As its name suggests this is aimed at those who like to play slots as well as bingo – there are NO bingo bonuses on offer at Wheel of Slots, just free spins on the likes of Fluffy Favourites, the best welcome offer being a guaranteed 50 free spins on Fluffy Favourites at Viking Bingo. Most of the Wheel of Slots sites run a regular Slot of the Week promotion; this consists of a prize draw with one entry given out per £20 played on the specified slot which is notified by email. The prize is a spin of the Winners Wheel (not the same as the regular wheel) which gives out 20 – 500 spins on Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Isis or Shaman’s Dream. The Wheel of Slots sites have a weekly Desert Treasure promotion and like the 15 Network promotion, it is a prize draw running from 6th – 26th June. One entry to the weekly draw is awarded per £10 of play on Temple of Isis and the weekly prizes are 25 x 20 (or more) free spins and there’s also a grand prize at the end of the promo period for one lucky player of a trip to Egypt (in the form of £2000 cash). A deposit of £10 or more required to qualify.
A couple of sites on this network now have exclusive promotions. Volcano Bingo have the best of these, an exclusive free bingo game for funded players at 8pm on Mondays; the prize fund is £20 with prizes down to 1TG but the real draw of this 90 ball game is that the 1L, 2L and FH winners all also win a free spin of the Wheel of Slots. If you prefer prize draw promotions try Free Spirit Bingo where there is a picnic basket to be won in June; players get one entry each time they deposit and play £10.
Another piece of (not so welcome) news from the Jumpman sites is the recent introduction of the £500 max conversion rule. Basically, when you receive a bonus of any kind the maximum you can end up with from it in withdrawable cash is £500; the rest remains as bonus and cannot be converted, so when you withdraw you lose it all.
Cozy bingo sites on the Live Bingo Network and Best Bingo Network pretty well all have the same promotions and in the past these have included jackpot games with free tickets for depositors, a weekly/monthly slots tournament with casino bonus prizes for the top spenders and so on. For June, almost all of these promotions have been removed, leaving very little apart from deposit bonus promotions.
Cozy bingo sites on these two networks do have free bingo 24/7 but it is 50 ball only and in order to be allocated 10 free tickets you have to be in the bingo room just before the game plays. If you are playing with a no deposit bonus you won’t be allowed to claim any tickets as it is only for funded players. Line and FH prizes are £2 (bonus, with the usual wagering requirement and 30 day expiry) and extra tickets can be bought for 1p each.
One advantage of Cozy sites is that almost all of them offer a no deposit bonus, but do be aware that it is NOT possible to win real money with this (not directly anyway). In order to get at these winnings you have to make a deposit and accept a bonus on it complete with wagering requirement – only then can you carry the winnings forward, as “casino cash” (not actually cash at all, but a casino bonus with the usual wagering requirement) up to £50 (£20 at some sites) or the value of the first deposit, whichever is smaller. As if that wasn’t enough, Cozy have now put restrictions on their deposit bonuses as well, capping the winnings at 10 x bonus or £500. With all these new rules – and the already existing provision that all bonuses are lost when any withdrawal is made regardless of whether the wagering requirements have been met – the huge bonuses that are Cozy’s USP are looking less and less attractive these days.
Alternatively there is Game Village which runs on Cozy software but is on its own Lucky Duck Network, so all the offers and jackpot games are exclusive to them and to a couple of other sites including Becky’s Bingo. They have a bewildering array of promotions, most of which change monthly, but to participate in the majority of them you need to have homeowner status which requires you to make three initial deposits and then deposit at least once every 30 days. Another potential pitfall at Lucky Duck sites is that for many of the promotions – for example, this month’s prize draw entry for winning a 90 ball FH prize without a superticket value (whatever that is) – the prize will not be awarded automatically and you must contact them to claim it (assuming you even notice that you qualify). The Charity Event is back for June, with all ticket monies going to Vasculitis UK, but as usual it is just one 50 minute stint of penny bingo in mid afternoon so unlikely to amount to much; there is no information on site about charity donations in previous months.
Cozy sites launched in the last few months include Swanky Bingo, Swag Bingo and Plush Bingo (all of which, unlike most Cozy bingo sites, have Microgaming slots), Sailor Bingo and Lucky Diner Bingo, which has something special to offer – a weekly exclusive bingo room with live chat host that they are broadcasting on a video stream! They also have a 24 hour jukebox including live radio shows. The live rooms are open to everyone who has deposited £10 or more in the preceding 7 days. Recent launch Igloo Bingo also has extras including a free bingo game every evening with a £10 prize fund.
Had enough of Virtue Fusion, Dragonfish, Jumpman and Cozy? There are a number of other options out there, and some of them run some great promotions.
There are only a handful of Gamesys sites left now following the departure of Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo to Virtue Fusion last summer. They have Super Links network games with £20K guaranteed prizes every day and are very good sites to play at if you enjoy prize draw promotions but are no more than a modest spender, because Gamesys rules on prize draws almost always allow only one entry per player per day. The Gamesys platform, however, is very much geared towards desktop play with only a restricted selection of mobile bingo rooms available.
Heart Bingo have introduced some extra guaranteed prizes into their bingo schedule and also have Sugar Rush; this regular promotion (which started back in October) awards a percentage boost to every prize in the Candy Club room between 11am and noon; the percentage boost is different every day (and announced each day on the promo page) but always between 10% and 100%. Tickets to the Heart Feel Good Festival in September (and cash prizes) can be won in chat promotions running at 9pm every Wednesday and Saturday in June; to be eligible for selection players must have made a deposit (£2 for the Wednesday games and £10 for the Saturday games) during the preceding seven days. Daily Delights runs from 19th – 25th June; to participate play one of Heart Bingo’s daily free games and then meet the spend requirement on the associated slot game – £10 to qualify for the £1000 sharepot, £20 for the £2000 sharepot or £30 for the £3000 sharepot. Cashback Playlist is on site from 19th – 22nd June; to participate, pick one of the 4 games (bingo and 3 slots) to reveal a cashback offer then play £30 or more on the game to qualify (maximum payout £10).
Virgin Games is basically a casino with a couple of bingo rooms and most of the promotions are to do with slots, casino games or poker. Around the World in 30 Days is a prize draw promotion running for the whole of June; there are 6 holidays to be won (1 every 5 days) each with £500 spending money. From 16th – 20th June the destination is New York and from 21st – 25th it is the Maldives. The final holiday to be won, for the promo period 26th – 30th June, is to Sydney. To enter, opt in and get one entry to the next draw for each £10 played on bingo or poker, each £30 played on slots and/or each £50 played on casino or live casino. Virgin also have Summer Surge, a £20,000 slots prize draw. It runs until 23rd June and players get one entry each day they complete £10 or more of cash play on Zen Garden, Double Bubble, Secrets of the Phoenix, Fun on the Seafront or Winfall Wishes; the top prize is £500 cash.
Jackpot Joy also have a range of exclusive promotions including a monthly £13,000 bingo game and frequent sharepots, but further details of these are only available on login.
Microgaming bingo sites have very little in the way of interesting promotions these days. One unique thing about the Microgaming platform is that it is the home of Immortal Romance Bingo, a bingo variant themed on the hugely popular slot – but apart from that, there is not much that is special about the network itself. The main advantage of choosing a Microgaming bingo site to play at is that they get all the new Microgaming slots as soon as they are released (although other bingo sites do have Microgaming slots these tend to be a smaller selection of older titles).
Dream Bingo used to run lots of exclusive promotions and had several non network bingo rooms, but now only has the network rooms and the occasional slots leaderboard. Dream also currently have a no deposit free spins offer but as the winnings are paid as casino bonus this only allows players to try out slots, not bingo.
Butlers Bingo and its sister sites which include the Irish charity bingo site Rehab Bingo have two exclusive bingo rooms. The Broadway Room is a standalone 90 ball room open in the afternoons and evenings offering a variety of jackpots and in the Spinner Room (open in the evenings), you can win free spins on specified slots; these rooms are clearly popular with players and led to Butlers winning awards for best Microgaming bingo site and for the best innovation in online bingo. Free spins are frequently part of the sign-up offer and are also given out to selected players . Over the last few months some extra jackpots have been added in the Broadway room, but these are mostly multi-level room jackpots rather than guaranteed prizes for specific games. The Broadway sites are also quite active on social media and put promotions such as prize draws out that way.
Daub Alderney have four bingo sites which combine shared rooms and promotions with exclusive ones and offer the opportunity to play bingo on a different platform with a particularly good range of slots.
Kitty Bingo was the first site in the group to launch and the design upgrade to improve playability across all devices which we reported on last week is now live. As we predicted the NetEnt slots which have featured at the other Daub sites for some time now are being introduced as part of the upgrade.
Lucky Pants Bingo generally runs promotions that are more geared towards slots – such as the Spin O Clock regular Tuesday promotion which gives out free spins in lieu of a deposit bonus. It is also possible to choose a slots bonus offer as a welcome offer (on your first three deposits) if that’s what you prefer. Lucky Pants now has NetEnt slots and the welcome offer has been tweaked so that the free spins are on these – Spinata Grande for the 20 free spins on registration and Spinata Grande, Koi Princess, Gonzo’s Quest or Starburst for the 100 free spins that are given out over the 5 days subsequent to making a first deposit.
Bingo Extra‘s USP is the exclusive Extra Room where several different varieties of bingo are played and extra features and prizes are the order of the day.
Give Back Bingo is a charity bingo site that was launched late last year. They aim to donate all bingo profits to the charity of the month and document it on a Just Giving page. When this type of arrangement has been done at other charity bingo sites it has never worked well and it has rarely been clear how much has been donated to which charity – or indeed whether anything has – but apart from some administrative issues with the Just Giving page for the donation from their opening month of December they seem to be doing OK so far, raising around £500 a month. June’s charity is the same as February’s – Cancer Research UK .
The regular Win-Win game runs on Wednesday evenings at 10pm. Cards for this 90 ball game cost 20p (cash only) and there is a £200 guaranteed prize fund. If you don’t win, you receive your stake money back as bingo bonus. Weekly Shop plays every Tuesday night at 10pm and the prize in this 75 ball game, which has a card price of 5p, is a very useful £100 shopping vouchers. Fiver Frenzy (known as the Playground at Bingo Extra) is a 1p bingo game that plays twice a day at 1pm and 10pm; it is a 5 line game with £5 fixed prize per line.
On the last Friday of every month, the £10K Slider plays. This is a 5 line game with a card price of 20p and should the winner bingo in 45 or fewer calls they will take home the whole £10,000 jackpot (this is a considerably higher number of calls than the vast majority of sliding jackpot games at other sites – while it is still pretty unlikely that someone will actually win, it is a lot less unlikely than in similar games elsewhere). It starts to slide after that and when the ball count reaches 53 it reverts right back down to the guaranteed £400. Line prizes are £150 each and there is a card maximum of 72.
The three non charity sites usually run a promotion each week (generally differing from each other in name only) where depositing or playing Monday to Thursday generates a reward on the Friday. This week’s promotion (19th -22nd June) is arguably the best version; players just have to opt in and make a deposit to receive a mystery prize. At Kitty and Lucky Pants, a deposit of £5 – £19 wins loyalty points, free spins or free bingo cards and a deposit of £20 or more wins a bonus of £5 – £100. At Bingo Extra, a deposit of £5 or more wins anything from free slots spins or £2 bingo bonus (4 x wagering requirement) up to £100 cash bonus (which despite its name carries a 10x wagering requirement).
Maria used to be a Virtue Fusion bingo site but back in July 2015 they migrated to the brand new bingo platform from Relax Gaming and the whole site was given a radical makeover. Maria is basically a casino with bingo (quite a lot of bingo – there are 4 open access bingo rooms plus one daily rewards room which is more than you’ll find at many plain old bingo sites) and where it really excels is the slots. They have one of the best selections available at any bingo site and it can all be played with the same wallet; new slots are added very often and there are frequent cashback or free spins offer. The welcome offers are also geared towards slots and include free spins; although the welcome bonus can be used on bingo the wagering requirements are more in line with what one would expect from a slots bonus. When Maria say cashback, they mean CASH (zero wagering requirements) and what they give you a percentage of CASH WAGERS rather than a percentage of losses. Slots tournaments at Maria also run frequently (at least every single day from 5pm – 8pm) and unlike the vast majority of slots tournaments you will find at other bingo sites, the winner is normally the player with the biggest net win in 20 consecutive spins rather than the biggest spender.
Maria is networked with Bingo.com, which has very much the same selection of slots as well as the same bingo rooms but gives the bingo a lot more prominence and often runs bingo promotions (such as bingo tournaments) that aren’t on at Maria. Bingo.com won the Fair Play Award at last year’s bingo industry awards and this was judged by a panel of independent experts so you can be sure of very high standards of social responsibility and fair play there. The owner of all these sites is the Kindred Group (aka Unibet) and they recently scored an industry first by being the first and so far the only iGaming operator to be certified for compliance with all six of the core principles of the 2014 EU Recommendation on Consumer Protection and Responsible Gambling.
The Relax bingo sites have Roll On Bingo (previously only found on the Virtue Fusion platform) and they also have a selection of regular bingo promotions including 14 days of free bingo for newbies, jackpot games and tournaments (on bingo and on slots). A separate bingo bonusing system (with a 4x wagering requirement) comes into play quickly – the bingo vouchers are given out as rewards on spins of the loyalty wheel and unlike bingo bonuses at many other sites, bingo vouchers are used before and not after any cash the player may have in their account. Another thing that Relax has in common with Virtue Fusion and no other bingo platform is that there is a fully featured pre-buy system enabling tickets to be purchased up to a week ahead of time.
The Great Bingo Prize Draw runs on a weekly cycle until 7th July. The weekly draws take place on Fridays and during the preceding 7 days players can collect one entry each day they complete £10 of bingo cash play. The top prize each week is a £500 Amazon voucher, 4 runners up get £100 cash each and 25 more runners up get bingo vouchers or free spins.
The latest innovation at the Relax sites is lottery betting. This allows players to bet on the outcomes of various lotteries around the world – including the Euromillions at £2 a ticket instead of £2.50 – but not the UK lottery.
The Parlay platform was popular several years ago and then almost disappeared as far as UK bingo sites were concerned. The Parlay software now has a UK licence but still only powers a few sites. As far as promotions go the only one that is really of interest is The Palaces. They have been running a series of prize draws but at the moment they just have a selection of reload offers.
The Bede Gaming bingo software powers Bingo Stars, Bingo Godz and the charity site Health Bingo. The main promotions of note here are the 50% reload bonus promotions available on both bingo and casino, but they also run Net Ent slots/casino promotions from time to time.
The Bede Gaming sites have also recently rearranged their bingo timetable. Out went the penny bingo room and in came a Friday night £5K jackpot game. Another innovation is an hour of 90 ball bingo from 4pm every day with a maximum of just 4 tickets per player. Also new to the Bede network is Bingo Studio Live; this runs from 6pm until midnight every evening and has arrived as part and parcel of the migration to the Bede platform of three sites that were previously powered by Virtue Fusion – Crown Bingo, Bingo Loopy and BingoS.
As far as promotions go, Tombola are best known for running daily free games. The one they are running at the moment is called Stars and has £30,000 in prizes to be won each week. To participate, players need to register a mobile number to be sent an access code each week. The code can then be used to access a ticket for the week’s play and this can be done on both Tombola Bingo and Tombola Arcade (a separate instant games site which can be accessed with a Tombola Bingo login) giving the player two chances to win. Each day, six numbers are called from the universe of 50 and players have to check their ticket and collect any stars with matching numbers. The aim is to complete the ticket by collecting 25 stars over the course of the week and each week, the £30,000 prize fund is shared equally between all the completed tickets (in the unlikely event that no-one wins, it rolls over to the following week increasing that week’s prize fund to £60,000). Players have been winning some very substantial amounts on this game – the prize for the last week in April, for instance, was shared between just three players netting them a cool £10K each.
Tombola also have some big money games this month; every evening in June the 9pm bingo90 game has a FH prize of £5,000. Finally there is a free £5 bonus which is available to both new and existing players, with a few caveats (basically, if you have claimed more than one of these bonuses before and have a lifetime spend of less than £20 in real money, you won’t be able to claim this time).
Slingo is a hybrid between bingo and slots and was a play-for-fun game until Gaming Realms bought the rights back in 2015. There are several real money Slingo games (including Deal or No Deal and X Factor themed versions) but only one of them – Slingo Boom – is a multiplayer game that offers the same type of experience as bingo. Slingo Boom is essentially a fun version of 75 ball bingo with lots of extra bells and whistles and only one card per player (giving everyone an equal chance of winning). To learn more about Slingo Boom and about all the single player versions of Slingo, read What Is Slingo?
Slingo Boom came out last May exclusively at Slingo.com, but this great game has not made much of an impact to date. This is rapidly changing as not only is there a a new TV advertising campaign for the brand, but they have secured a deal to sponsor the Jeremy Kyle Show. As well as the 25p and £1 Slingo Boom rooms – which now have many more players and bigger prizes than they did previously – there is a daily jackpot room. There’s also an extra spins bonus which comes into play after some games which offers a player the opportunity to buy extra spins after the game finishes for the chance to complete the board and win an amount equal to the full house prize. Slingo Boom is now available at other Gaming Realms sites including Spin Genie.
Also recently introduced at Gaming Realms is the real money skill game Magic Mine. This is a match 3 game in the same vein as the ever popular Candy Crush and players are given 7 moves to collect as many diamond gems as possible (30 are required to break even). When played with the standard strategy the game has an extremely unappealing RTP of just 56.79% but they say this can be improved with skilful play. Magic Mine offers a range of stake levels from 50p – £10 and apart from the progressive jackpot the maximum win is 100 x stake.
