September 2017 – Best Bingo Promotions, Offers and Deals
There’s some very big news in the world of online bingo at the moment – two pieces of big news, in fact – and neither are to do with new sites or promotions.
First up was the arrival of POCT2 from 1st August. POCT stands for Point of Consumption Tax and POCT2 extends the tax to bonuses. Operators have been aware of this development since the last Budget but there had been some doubt as to when and whether it would actually go ahead as the necessary legislation hasn’t gone through Parliament (they were too busy with the snap election and Brexit). The Treasury has now said that when the legislation is passed (on the assumption that it won’t be derailed by a further election), the tax charge will be retroactively applied from 1st August, so operators have been busily making changes to accommodate it.
But what does this mean for players? In a nutshell, it means that in the coming months a great many of the no deposit bonus offers for new players could vanish as operators simply cannot afford to pay 15% tax on a bonus they give to someone who then never goes on to deposit and play. The smaller the percentage of players who subsequently make a deposit, the more of a money sink for the operator the no deposit bonus becomes and the less likely the site is to keep on offering it – so in theory at least, any remaining no deposit bonus offers after the dust settles will be from high quality bingo sites where players usually do go on to make a deposit.
Deposit bonuses are also affected by the new tax and we are already seeing smaller deposit bonus offers. Operators are going to have to find more innovative ways to keep players happy instead of just shoving huge bonuses at them all the time. We also expect to see more bingo site launches on no bonus/no wagering networks such as the Dragonfish powered Real Bingo Network and the Jumpman powered Wheel of Slots Network.
The second piece of big news came on 31st August with the announcement that 888 had been hit with an absolutely massive fine of £7.8 MILLION pounds. This came about because they had failed to prevent players who had previously self excluded from 888 casino, sports or poker sites from opening accounts at 888 bingo sites – including ALL bingo sites on the 888/Cassava/Dragonfish bingo platform. On 7th August, all such players had their bingo accounts suspended (multiple accounts in many cases) and now, as part of the penalty package, all those players are to have their accounts closed and their deposits refunded – amounting to a whopping £3.5 million!

The Virtue Fusion / Playtech bingo network is where all the really big money bingo games are.. Bingo Linx games play several times every day across the entire network, typically with prizes of £1000+, and at certain times of the month the prizes get even bigger including a total of £250,000 in prizes over the final weekend of every month. The downside of such huge prizes is that so many players are involved that the chance an individual player has of winning is pretty small. September’s network promotion is “10,000 chances to win £100”. The special bingo games run at intervals from noon to midnight every day in September; tickets are 25p each and every game has 1L, 2L, FH and seven Roll On prizes of £100 each.
Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo migrated from Gamesys to the Virtue Fusion platform back in August 2016 but these sites do NOT look and play like regular Virtue Fusion sites. Instead the bingo rooms and lobby look very much as they did prior to the move, with the Virtue Fusion software running quietly in the background; this brings Cash Cubes (and now Bouncy Balls) on to the desktop without the new style (HTML5) Virtue Fusion bingo lobby – a welcome development for the many players who dislike the new lobby. Of the two sites, Sun has by far the best promotions.
Sun’s have a recently added exclusive bingo game, Winning Headlines Bingo, and the room is open from noon every day. It is a single ticket multi-stake game, with 36 balls (numbers 1 – 30 and 6 symbols themed on the Sun newspaper). The numbers and symbols appear on 12 floating newspapers which disappear as they are matched; there are jackpots for bingo in 16 and 18 calls and – more interestingly – the Headline Jackpot which is a community progressive split between all players after a game in which all six symbols are called and bingo is won on the final one.
Everyone’s A Winner is a daily prize draw promotion running until 29th September. Prizes include electronic gadgets, Sun Bingo merchandise, shopping vouchers, bonuses and free bingo tickets and players can enter a daily draw by playing just £1 on bingo or slots. Opt-in is required using code WINNER but this only needs to be done once. The free bingo tickets that can be won are either for two hours of free bingo the following day or for a £25K game to be played at 10pm on 30th September; this includes £5000 to be split between all ticket holders and tickets can also be bought for 50p each. Sun also have a £10 free bingo bonus promotion for new and existing players – £1 can be claimed on login, every weekday from 11th – 22nd September. Each bonus has a 3x wagering requirement and 24 hour expiry.
Having a Ball, Sun’s live bingo show, is also back every Friday in September, streamed into the Candy Room from 7pm – 8pm.
The regular Game of the Week promotion at Sun Bingo offers 100% bonus back (up to £10) on losses, but the bonus can only be used on the same slot again and has a 30x wagering requirement. £10 of cash play is needed to qualify. This week (until 17th September) the slot is Fae Legend Warrior. Sun also usually have at least one other exclusive slots promotion and recently these have included prize draws and head-to-head battles with a sharepot for players of the most popular slot.
Bgo have some exclusive BGO World bingo rooms plus an excellent selection of slots and a very nice slots/casino welcome offer that can be taken as an alternative to bingo bonus. They also have a no deposit free spins offer that is open to everyone whatever their choice of welcome bonus. The Big Competition runs every month; to qualify for the three special games on the last Friday of the month (29th September) players need to deposit £20 and play £10 on bingo and £10 on mini games in the exclusive Fairy Delight bingo room. These games have shopping voucher prizes on top of the regular prize pot. The Chit Chat Cash Climber is an escalator jackpot promotion, running in the Fairy Delight and Golden Galaxy exclusive bingo rooms every day in September. The pot starts at a modest £5 for full house in 35 or fewer calls and is in play for an hour from 10am, 3pm and 8pm; at the start of each session the number of calls goes up by one and the pot also goes up (by £5 at 10am, £10 at 3pm and £15 at 8pm) until it is won; it then starts again at £5 at 10am the following morning. To win, players must have 6 or more tickets in play.
Bgo also often have slots promotions outside the bingo section.
Bgo have also recently made a surprising (and very welcome) announcement – they intend to remove ALL wagering requirements on bonuses and this will come into effect during October.
At Bet365 there is almost always a big exclusive going on and until the end of September it is Motor Madness. This promotion ends with the opportunity to win a Citroen C1 Touch car in the All Winners Finale game on 1st October. To win free tickets to this game, play in the special bingo games in the Show Room; a free ticket is given away with every line or FH win (as well as the regular prizes). Players can collect up to 10 free tickets each week (50 altogether) or buy from the schedule for £1. The promotion also includes a Party Hour immediately before the big game, with cash and Love2Shop vouchers to be won; players can claim 6 tickets for each of the 10 games for every £10 of play in the Show Room, up to a maximum of 36 tickets per game (or buy for 10p each) .
Bet365 also have Ready Steady Go, which is a regular double your winnings promotion that runs every other week (11th – 17th September and 25th September – 1st October). To qualify players need to opt in (this only needs to be done once) and play in the 6 featured bingo rooms. Any cash wins in these rooms from cash ticket purchases will be doubled up to an extra £10 for play on desktop, another £10 for play on tablet and yet another £10 for play on mobile. The cash has to be withdrawn or played within 7 days.
Bonus Bingo runs on a weekly cycle for the rest of September; to gain entry to the VIP free bingo at 8pm on the following Tuesday, players must complete £25 of cash play on bingo during the week. Each of the 5 games in the session has a £100 bingo bonus prize pool including 4 Roll On prizes; the bonus has a 4x wagering requirement.
Bet365’s exclusive bingo rooms include the Mojo Lounge which runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9pm with all cards at 5p and at least 50 Roll On prizes. There’s also a special room jackpot, the Hot Ball, which drops when someone calls FH on the Hot Ball number, which changes each week; it starts at £20 and goes up by £1 each game it is not won up to a maximum of £50. If no-one wins the Hot Ball the prize goes to the FH winner of the last game on the Friday. To get into Mojo Lounge for the week you have to spend £10 cash on bingo over the preceding weekend (or any time up until 30 minutes before the first game). Lastly there is the rolling Bingo Slots Club promotion. Opt in and earn one loyalty point for each £10 played on slots (but do be aware that only slots in the Slots section of Bet365 Bingo count, not slots from elsewhere on site, and there’s also a list of excluded slots) , and at the end of the 2 week period an extra slots bonus (with a 20x wagering requirement) is given out for reaching a certain level of Loyalty Points on a certain number of days – this ranges from £1 for getting 10 Loyalty Points on 2 of the days to a whopping £1000 for getting 2000 Loyalty Points on 10 of the days. Qualifying periods are 4th – 17th September and 18th September – 1st October.
Sky Bingo continues to run a set of promotions to tie in with its recently launched exclusive 40 ball bingo variant, Tipping Point Bingo – themed on the ITV game show. This has a similar game mechanic to Rainbow Riches Bingo, with 8 numbers per ticket arranged in two clusters of 4, and prizes for 1 cluster and full house. The progressive jackpot is much more straightforward, though – split 50/50 between the winner and the other players for bingo in 12 calls or fewer. Ticket prices are 10p – 25p and there’s a maximum of 30 tickets per player per game. There’s plenty of opportunity to try this new room out for free; every evening between 7pm and 8pm until further notice 10 free games, with £100 bingo bonus (1 x wagering requirement) to be won each time, alternate with 10p ticket games and half of the generous Sky Bingo welcome bonus is for Tipping Point Bingo only.
The extra Win Zone feature runs on Tipping Point Bingo from 8pm – 10pm every day until 2nd November. After every game, the feature runs causing up to 10 counters to drop; these are worth £10 each apart from the jackpot counter which is worth £500 (Sky are guaranteeing that at least 100 of these will drop during the promo period). Whatever drops is shared 50/50 between the winner and the community (with individual payouts depending on the number of tickets held).
Sky players can also visit the Vegas section of the site using their Sky Bingo login to try out the new Tipping Point instant win games. Sky Vegas almost always have some kind of big multi level promotion and the latest of these, Road Trip, has just finished. The daily Prize Machine is now back until 29th October, and this time it has an enhancement in the form of the Mega Prize Machine which has much better prizes and is available (instead of the free version) to players who completed £10 of cash play on slots the day before).
At Mecca Bingo there’s the usual series of slots promotions, including Bit On The Side which runs from 18th – 24th September. After opting in with code MINI, players deposit and play £10 on slots within the bingo lobby to receive a £5 bonus for the same selection of slots. The bonus has a 10x wagering requirement. Mecca also have a recently introduced second deposit bonus promotion which is ideal for slots players; the £10 Starburst bonus (which has a 5x wagering requirement and 30 day expiry) is awarded on a 2nd deposit of £10 made with code STAR10.
Mecca’s new bingo game Linka-Balls was launched back in July. It’s 90 ball bingo with an additional feature prize game. The bingo balls drop as coloured balls adjacent to the ticket area and the aim is to get three in a row of the same colour (horizontally, vertically or diagonally); when this happens the feature prize for that colour (a fixed amount) is split between all qualifying players (that is, anyone with 6 or more tickets to the game). In theory all 6 feature prizes could be won in the same game!
X Factor Bingo is the theme of Mecca’s September promotions. All players, new and existing, can claim £10 free bingo bonus but as has been the case when this type of promotion has been run at other Virtue Fusion bingo sites, it is drip fed, £1 at a time, on the day the player opts in with code 10FREE and over the next 9 working days (at 6pm each time). Each bonus is valid for 24 hours only and has a 2x wagering requirement. The X Factor Extravaganza runs from 8pm – 10pm every Saturday and consists of Wild Bingo games (10p ticket price and £150 guaranteed cash prize fund) alternating with Prize Bingo games (15p ticket price, physical prizes for FH including holiday vouchers, Ticketmaster vouchers and TVs). Players can get free tickets to some of these games based on cash spend Sunday – Thursday, starting at 60 free tickets to 2 Wild Bingo games for £5 of cash play and going up to 120 free tickets for 4 Prize Bingo games for £60 or more of cash play. Mecca also have bingo promotions for every other day of the week throughout September, focusing on a different bingo room each time.
Paddy Power Bingo and Betfair Bingo are both part of the same organisation, the megabookie created by the merger of the two parent companies which was completed last year. Despite having a shared bingo room the sites are different in character. They usually have a shared exclusive promotion but this week (until 24th) Paddy Power has double prizes in the Sapphire bingo room between midnight and 6am, and Betfair has a 20% bonus back on losses on the Tiki Paradise slot (code TIKI, minimum spend £10, maximum bonus £50, 10x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry.
Betfair has a new slots and bingo bonus welcome offer requiring a deposit of just £5. Their exclusive bingo promotions include rather a good regular free bingo promotion; £25 of cash play on bingo Monday – Thursday secures entry to Friday’s VIP Lounge bingo room which comprises 3 hours of free bingo from 7pm, with a total prize fund of £1500. By far the best promotions at Betfair, however, are slots promotions to be found over in the Arcade section – and they include an amazing £15,000 weekly free bets raffle that you only need to play one single slots cash spin to enter! There’s no need to open another account to play the slots there as the same wallet can be used in both places.
Gala Bingo had a promotion called Everyone Wins running on a weekly cycle and this proved so popular that it now runs on a daily cycle under the name Win Every Day, until at least 15th October. To participate, players play £10 cash on any day to get entry to the Happymakers free bingo room that same evening. The 5 games play from 9.30pm with a total prize pool of £3110 including £500 for the FH winner of the final game and there’s also a £500 sharepot for non winning players in each game.
Gala also have the Chase daily quiz game, with £1000 cash to be won every day. To qualify for the game, players need to complete £10 of cash play in any bingo room all on the same day: all players who beat the Chaser that day win a share of the £1000 cash.
Coral Bingo has many of the same extra features as Gala Bingo, including exclusive Gala Coral rooms Coronation Street Bingo, Big Banker Bingo, Bingo Lotto , Coconut Island Bingo and Emmerdale Bingo and the side bet facility. Coral also has the regular Bingoal room at 5pm every Saturday and Sunday; this is 90 minutes of free 90 ball bingo with no entry restrictions, to play while watching (or instead of watching) the football (outside the football season as well). Each game pays £5 bingo bonus for 1L, £10 bingo bonus for 2L and £15 bingo bonus for FH – these bonuses can only be used to buy bingo tickets, and have to be used within 7 days, but apart from that there are no wagering requirements. The Coral VIP For A Month promotion is running throughout 2017. Each month, a prize draw will take place for all players who have racked up £30 of cash play on bingo during the month, and 5 winners will receive a temporary upgrade for the following month to the Diamond VIP level (which includes weekly cashback and 2 x weekly £500 free bingo sessions).
Some months after its launch at Gala, The Chase bingo room has finally made its appearance at Coral , together with the matching slot and scratchcard.
One very special thing about Coral is the Coral Connect Card. This allows players to access any Coral product on any device (or in shop or by telephone) and to deposit and withdraw in cash at any Coral shop. This has been in place for some time but now Coral have gone further and introduced true omni-channel play on the Tiki Paradise slot, with extra features that are unlocked by playing on different channels or using Coral Connect.
Ladbrokes Bingo is part of the same huge organisation as Gala and Coral but the Gala Coral exclusive bingo variants are yet to make an appearance there. They usually have at least one exclusive but there does not seem to be anything going on at the moment.
William Hill Bingo have two recently introduced exclusive bingo variants on site, via the HTML5 lobby only. Bingo Bowl is a 50 ball game themed on a bowling alley; the 10 numbers appear on bowling pins. As well as a room jackpot for winning full house in 15 calls, there is a bonus game called the Kingpin Jackpot. This consists of a separate card which is marked off whenever someone wins bingo on one of the remaining numbers; there’s a fixed prize of £5 for any number and a progressive jackpot for completing the card. Bouncy Bowl is the newly introduced accompanying slot. Day At The Races Bingo is a 40 ball horse racing themed variant based on the Rainbow Riches bingo engine.
Until 14th September players can qualify for a 20% bonus back on bingo losses by opting in with code WINNING3 and completing at least £20 of bingo cash play (which does not itself count towards losses for the bonus calculation). The bonus has a 2 x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry and the maximum payout is £50.
Betfred Bingo is another Playtech / Virtue Fusion bingo site with only occasional exclusives but what they do have (as well as their own bingo rooms and the new HTML5 bingo lobby complete with Cash Cubes and Bouncy Balls) is the mother of all welcome bonus offers including a bingo bonus, a slots bonus, a casino bonus and a Lotto free bet. Let’s Get Quizzical is a chat promotion that runs from 8pm – 9pm every Thursday until 5th October, in the Disco bingo room. One question will be asked in each of the 10 bingo games and the first player to answer correctly wins £2.50 bingo bonus (to be eligible they must have at least 30p worth of tickets to the relevant game). it has a 7 day expiry but only needs to be played through once.
Mirror Bingo has been brought up to date with the addition of Cash Cubes and Bouncy Balls Bingo to the desktop, plus a temporary new 500% welcome offer half of which is a slots bonus specifically for the newspaper themed slot Reel News.
If you like the Playtech bingo product but fancy a change from such big sites there’s Aztec Bingo which has exclusive bingo rooms and promotions including regular bonus and cashback offers.
Literally hundreds of bingo sites, on several different networks, use the 888/Dragonfish platform but all have 888 UK Limited as the licence holder. Sometimes 888 run big link games which join together different networks; a series of big games each with a £200,000 prize fund ran at almost all 888 sites in 2015 and early 2016 and following this, a big link 90 ball bingo room was run as a special daily promotion for August 2016. This was done without any guaranteed prizes whatsoever but the sheer number of players ensured that the prize money was always attractive, and it proved so popular that the promotion was indefinitely extended, the first game each evening was given a £1000 guaranteed prize fund, and a 75 ball room was added. The 90 ball room is currently available at almost all 888 sites and a smaller number have the 75 ball room as well.
Another thing and rather less welcome thing that an increasing number of 888 sites (eventually, probably all of them) have in common is a restriction on what can be won when playing with a slots bonus, whether this is a deposit bonus, a free bonus or the winnings from free spins; unless they are lucky enough to win a progressive jackpot, the maximum the player can cash out is £400 plus the value of the original bonus.
Most 888 sites are finally moving away from Flash and on to HTML5 – just in time, as Google Chrome and some other browsers have now started automatically disabling Flash preventing the Flash version from running unless explicitly re-enabled. The way this has been done is simply by serving the tablet version of the bingo lobby and rooms to the desktop and this seems to work well enough apart from the minor annoyance of not being able to buy a strip of tickets in the 90 ball rooms (the top two rows of tickets on the first page make a strip but to buy they have to be selected individually). One very nice feature of the new software is that if you click on the prize in a bingo room, an extra window opens with details of how the prize is set (whether it is a fixed jackpot, a wager jackpot that depends on ticket sales or a sliding jackpot – and in the case of a sliding jackpot, exactly what the prize is for each number of calls).
Many 888 sites including those on the Dragonfish network have what looks like a new bingo game, Candylicious, with 52 sweets to collect instead of numbers – but actually it is just a reskinned version of the Flash Fives / Foxy Fives / Bingo Vegas card game, which itself is a copy of Tombola‘s much loved Cinco game. Candylicious has one important difference as compared to the card games and it’s not a good one as far as players are concerned – in the card games, the maximum purchase is generally 5 hands but in the new game, the maximum purchase is 96 cards – £4.80 at the 5p ticket price which has been set for the new room.
The Ignite network (owned by Canadian iGaming giant Intertain who also own Jackpot Joy) includes Costa Bingo and several others. It is well known for its inventive promotions, but some of the sites are much better for promotions than others. No-deposit bonuses and automatic reload bonuses are on offer at many of the sites on this network and another feature which is good for fair play is that most of the regular bingo rooms have a lower than usual maximum purchase of 24 or 48 cards. Ignite (along with other 888/Cassava/Dragonfish bingo sites) have also recently reduced their minimum withdrawal to just £5.
Ignite’s Diamond Club cross-brand rewards scheme allows players to collect Diamonds at one site (through play or via special promotions) and redeem them at another, although in order to have the full range of available deals including iPads and iPhones it is necessary to reach the higher levels of the loyalty scheme which is determined by lifetime deposits. The only options for those with deposits of less than £50 are deposit bonus codes and cards to special prize games, which run once or twice a month at many of the sites; the prizes are typically worth around £500 and as well as selling the cards for 10 Diamonds each, the sites give free cards to players who complete certain specified tasks (usually depositing and/or playing) during the promo period. This appears to be changing though (for tax and/or regulatory reasons) – tickets for the most recently announced games are on sale for cash only.

Ignite also run two sliding jackpot games each week, one on Friday at 10pm and one on Sunday at 9pm. Players can claim up to 6 cards for each of these on the day of the game only, but to be allowed into the bingo room they need to have made a deposit in the last 7 days.
As sliding jackpots go the Friday game (which runs at all Ignite bingo sites) is certainly one of the better ones as the £10,000 cash headline prize does not start to slide until the ball count gets higher than 46 and for the prize to go all the way down to the baseline guaranteed £1000, bingo would have to be in a very slow 70 calls. The game typically has 25,000 + cards in play so it is extremely unlikely that it would last that long. It also has extra prizes; 1TG players share £1000 bonus and 2TG players share £2000 bonus.
The Sunday game (which does not run at all of the sites) is a much poorer proposition; the ball count required to win the £5000 jackpot is ludicrously low at 29 calls, the baseline £500 is for bingo in 51 or more calls (whereas the Friday prize for 51 calls is £7000) and there’s nothing for 1TG or 2TG. Since the cards are free it is still worth claiming them any week you have made the necessary deposit at a participating site (now including Costa).
Some of the Ignite bingo sites also have their own exclusives from time to time:
Costa Bingo was the first site in the group to open way back in 2009. It is the busiest of the sites with the largest selection of bingo rooms including extra Bingo Vegas rooms.
At Treasure Bingo the regular Truth or Dare deposit bonus promotion runs most weeks. Each week, for a deposit of £10 – £100, the TRUTH code and the DARE code can be used once each. TRUTH awards a specified bonus and DARE awards a mystery bonus, both with the usual wagering requirement of 4 x (deposit+bonus). The TRUTH bonus until 24th September is 60%.
At City Bingo the promotions are themed round a different city each month (September’s is Munich). The regular Guess the City promotion runs towards the end of each month; players who guess the following month’s destination correctly from the list of options share 250,000 Diamonds. City has a regular chat tourney, which runs for an hour at a time in a different room and at a different time of day every weekday. It is unlike the usual sort of chat tourney in that instead of getting points for winning bingo, you get 500 City Points for shouting out a city themed catchphrase (this month it is SAUSAGE) when your lucky number is called. You then get to pick a grid number to see what your score is and the two players with the highest score at the end of the hour win 2500 Diamonds each. City Bingo has a free daily game, Break the Bank, for players who have deposited at least £5 during the preceding 7 days.
Fancy Bingo is a penny bingo site and most of the regular games have 1p tickets; that is its USP. There’s also a free daily game, Tea Party, for recent depositors similar to that at other sites in the group (but at Fancy, to qualify as a recent depositor the deposit has to have been made in the last 4 days, not the last 7 days). Fancy have a free spins promotion on featured jackpot slots every weekend in September; players get 5 free spins for every £100 of cash play on Saturday or Sunday, up to a maximum of 25 free spins each weekend. The free spins have a 7 day expiry and winnings are capped at £1 x the number of free spins given.
Sing Bingo has a musical theme with a different artist, genre or event featured each month and they now run a Guess The Artist promotion similar to the Guess The City promotion at City Bingo, with a 250,000 Diamond sharepot for correct guesses. The artist for September is the Bee Gees. Sing has a regular chat tourney which runs for 2 hours each day Monday – Friday (a different room and time each day, details on site). The rules for this have recently been changed and it no longer seems to be a team tourney, nor does it depend on winning any bingo games (although players must have at least one card in play to take part and arrive within 30 minutes of the start time). Each player picks a number and gives it to the chat host; first to shout out “I spot my ball” when their number is called wins 2 tourney points plus 250 Sing Points for themselves and 250 for a roomie of their choice. Second to shout out wins one tourney point. At the end of the session the top scorer wins 5000 Sing Points, second place wins 3000 and third place wins 1000. Sing also has Jukebox Jumble, a free game that can be played once a day for 7 days after depositing £5 or more and pays out bonus codes, free spins, Sing Points and so forth.
Ignite also operate two bingo sites, Deep Sea Bingo and Sweet Shop Bingo, which are on the main Dragonfish network instead of their own network. Both these bingo sites have the standard Dragonfish network rooms (including both the 888 big link rooms) and promotions and no exclusives. What they do have, though, is the Diamond Club – so Diamonds from other sites can be redeemed for bonuses there, and Diamonds earned at Deep Sea or Sweet Shop can be used for bonuses and prize game tickets at other Ignite sites.
Back in July Ignite launched not one, but two brand new bingo sites. One of them, Real Deal Bingo, is on the new Dragonfish no-bonus network and does not even have the Diamond Club. The other, Bringo Bingo, is on Ignite’s own network and is themed on a TV game show.
The Tarco/Netboost network is powered by Dragonfish and the licence holder is 888 UK Limited, but the network and all the sites on it are actually owned by Stride Gaming.
This network has two USPs. The first is complicated welcome bonus offers that include everything but the kitchen sink – bingo bonus, slots bonus, free bingo tickets, free spins and a spin the wheel game – and good examples of this are found at Gossip Bingo and the newest site on the network Ted Bingo. Not all the sites have this type of offer though; Robin Hood Bingo and Tip Top Bingo for instance have plain but generous bingo bonus offers. Other Netboost sites include Loony Bingo, Sugar Bingo, Moon Bingo, Polo Bingo and Cupcake Bingo and also Silk Bingo, which has just had a redesign and new welcome offer.
The other USP is sliding jackpots, of which there are many, some once a month and some every day. If you want to know more about sliding jackpots and what the chances of their actually dropping is, we have a long and detailed article on the subject which you can read here.

|Big 10||10pm last Friday of month||75 ball||30p||£10,000 – 29 calls||£2000 – 46+ calls|
The network also has regular fixed jackpot games every evening – the biggest of this, which is on Fridays, is a 90 ball game with £1000 in all to be won (including 1TG and 2TG prizes) and a ticket price of 20p.
This month the Netboost sites have Money Train, a repeat of a previously run promotion featuring – surprise, surprise – a sliding jackpot bingo game. It is a 75 ball game at 9.30pm every Friday in September, with a headline prize of £25,000 and a guaranteed £1500 (which apparently includes an amount for 1TG and 2TG). Cards cost £1 and currently there isn’t any information about the number of calls required to win the headline prize.
Most Netboost sites now have the new network VIP scheme, Diamond Club (not to be confused with the Ignite Diamond Club). This invitation only scheme has four levels (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond) with a fast track to membership for players who have VIP membership elsewhere.
Netboost also run some extra promotions which are notified via a pop-up rather than via the promotions page; the new promotions are only a few days in duration and mostly consist of prize draws, some combined with a leaderboard and some based on spend.
The network runs both of the 888 big link bingo rooms under the name Linked and Loaded and has recently reorganised its free bingo rooms; there are now 4 of these and all have the same entry mechanic – 2 days of access subsequent to making a deposit. A £10 deposit unlocks the entry level room and to get access to the Supreme room with its £500 of free bingo requires a £50 deposit.
The main Dragonfish network aka the Dragonfish (Globalcom) network includes both independently owned sites such as Circus Bingo and its sister sites Pixie Bingo and Oink Bingo, and 888 house owned sites such as Spy Bingo. The advantage of choosing a house owned site – apart from the reassurance of dealing with such a huge and well known operator – is that they are very unlikely to opt out of any of the network promotions. Independently owned sites do opt out from time to time; several, for instance, did not run the massively networked £200K jackpot games last year and many of them do not offer the million pound sliding jackpot games. Another difference is in the range of slots on offer. On the other hand, some of the independently owned sites have exclusive bingo rooms and promotions which can’t be found elsewhere on the network.

To take full advantage of all the bingo rooms on the Dragonfish network, players need to be frequent depositors as several of the rooms (including all of the free rooms) have an entry condition whereby a deposit must have been made in the last 7 days. Depositing regularly is beneficial for the loyalty scheme as well, as loyalty level is reset every month and depends on how much was deposited during the previous month. The benefits include a modest bonus back on losses, free slots spins and free tickets to the Big £10K; a single deposit of the minimum the site allows (£5 or £10) during the month is enough to qualify for the lowest level of these benefits but to get the maximum you’ll need to deposit £200 or more. Note that a minimum deposit does not go very far as apart from the Spintastic and Late Night Show promotions the cheapest tickets are 5p.
There are several smaller groups of sites within the network, running promotions between their own sites only, but the downside of this is that as previously mentioned they may be missing some of the network rooms and promotions.

Dragonfish Real Bingo Network
The big news from Dragonfish at the moment is the launch of the new Real Bingo Network. The first site Blighty Bingo launched a few months back and now it has been joined by sister sites Zinger Bingo and Hunky Bingo, plus a couple of brand new sites – Real Deal Bingo (operated by Ignite of Costa Bingo fame) and Queen Bee Bingo. The new network has the USP of not having any wagering requirements; the flipside of that is that there are no bingo bonuses in the normal sense of the word. The welcome offer consists of some free spins and £70 worth of bingo tickets; at the time of writing these consist of 12 tickets for 5 days for the daily £250 jackpot game plus 4 tickets for the Big Bang aka Big 10K (see above for details). The deal also includes one or more free spins on login every single day (depending on loyalty level). The new network includes some of the regular Dragonfish network rooms (Bounce’T, Big Fat 10, Spintastic and Late Night Show under different names) plus some that are exclusive to the new network, with more on the way as more sites launch.
As far as promotions go it is still early days; the network had a Wimbledon special back in June but there is nothing on at the moment.
The Joy of Bingo network includes 888Ladies, Wink Bingo, Red Bus Bingo, and Posh Bingo (as well as a few others). They share a VIP scheme and some games, mostly the free bingo, which includes some that is open to all players regardless of whether they have made a recent deposit. The best of the free games is on Sunday evenings and only available on mobile and tablet; it used to be networked across all the sites as a 75 ball game with a £250 prize but it seems that 888 Ladies now has its own 90 ball version (with a £200 prize fund). These sites all also have the 888 big link 90 ball room under the name Stack Up and the big link 75 ball room under the name Unwind (at some of the sites these are only available on mobile).
888 Ladies and Wink have a jackpot game called Payday £3000 which is played on the final Friday of each month; it is a 90 ball game with 10p tickets and prizes down to 2TG. Payday £1500 is a similar game with smaller prizes and 5p tickets, which plays at the other sites on the network.
The network promotion for September is called Ladies Getaway at 888 Ladies, World Tour at Wink and Funfest elsewhere on the network. It consists of a 75 ball game at 10pm every night, with a 2p card price and guaranteed £100 for FH, a 5 line game at 11pm on Saturdays with a 20p card price and guaranteed £200 for each line, and a 75 ball game at 11pm on Sundays with a 20p card price and £1000 in Thomas Cook vouchers for the coverall.
Joy of Bingo sites used to have automatic reload bonuses but this has now changed. Wink players get a free spin on the Wink Wheel with every deposit (use code SPIN) to win a bonus of up to 200% or free spins. At 888 Ladies something similar was introduced a couple of months ago – instead of getting a redeposit bonus offer players can deposit with code LUCK to get a free spin on the Lady Luck slot machine (which comes in regular and VIP versions). The machine awards a bonus up up to 88% (99% for VIPs), up to £10 cash or free spins.
Big Tease Bingo is Dragonfish powered and on a network of its own (the Bingo Stars network) with the older Bingo Hollywood. They usually run at least one exclusive bingo promotion every month, and this month the theme is relaxation (because of the kids being back at school). It runs in 90 ball hosted rooms only; win full house on the ball number that corresponds to the date (ball 1 on 1st, ball 2 on 2nd and so on) and shout RELAX to win a mystery prize (which then has to be claimed via email) or REST to win 1000 loyalty points. September’s chat tourney is called Back to School and follows the usual rules, running on weekend evenings from 7pm -11pm in the Red Carpet Room with 10 tourney points awarded per bingo win; every team wins loyalty points with the lion’s share (1 million points) going to the top team, but to win the full prize you have to play 100 games or more (with at least 3 tickets per game) over the weekend. Play 50-99 and you get half the prize, play 25 – 49 and you just get 1000 loyalty points, play fewer than 25 and you don’t qualify for anything. Slots tourneys also run each month and in September the game to play is Beez Kneez, but only play at weekends counts. Each weekend the biggest spender gets £100 casino bonus, and the biggest loser over the whole month gets a consolation prize of £50 casino bonus.
One thing to be aware of at Big Tease is that in order to qualify for any of their promotions players need to have made a deposit during the last 30 days.
Foxy Bingo and other Cashcade sites also use the Dragonfish software on a standalone network but the number of bingo rooms and promotions at this once great site has suffered quite a decline and they have closed their Facebook comminity page. They reportedly spent £10 million on the recent relaunch featuring Hollywood actress Heather Graham as the Fox so it is little wonder their promotions seem largely geared towards getting players to spend lots of money on slots.
15 Network is the original Jumpman powered bingo network and usually has one main network promotion. Usually this is a weekly slots prize draw with slots bonus prizes, but this month’s promotion, September Splendour, has ten £100 Harrods vouchers to be won in each of the three weeks it runs for (ending on 25th September) . To qualify for a draw players have to make a deposit of at least £25 during the week (Tuesday – Monday); they then get 1 draw entry for each £1 of cash play on the Rebets Splendour slot.
Tuesday Treasure is a free bingo game that plays across the network on the second Tuesday of every month. All funded players can claim up to 96 free tickets and the prize split is FH £400, 2L £200, 1L £160 and £80 each for 1TG, 2TG and 3TG. In previous months there have been up to 200,000 tickets in play, so each ticket only has a very small chance of winning – but it’s free, so well worth claiming max tickets.
Prize draws are the most common type of exclusive promotion found at 15 Network bingo sites and typically players get one entry for each £10 deposited during the month, but there don’t seem to be any running at the moment.
Rocket Bingo offer free bingo games without the requirement to have made a deposit in the preceding 7 days. There are a number of games with £1 prizes every day, a £10 game two evenings a week plus an hour of £10 free bingo games on Friday evenings. If you haven’t tried Rocket Bingo yet, now is a good time, as there is a temporary extra on the welcome offer of a £5 Amazon voucher. Additional promotions are run via their Facebook page.
The Wheel of Slots network also runs on the Jumpman platform. As its name suggests this is aimed at those who like to play slots as well as bingo – there are NO bingo bonuses on offer at Wheel of Slots, just free spins on the likes of Fluffy Favourites, the best welcome offer being a guaranteed 50 free spins on Fluffy Favourites at Viking Bingo. Most of the Wheel of Slots sites run a regular Slot of the Week promotion; this consists of a prize draw with one entry given out per £20 played on the specified slot which is notified by email. The prize is a spin of the Winners Wheel (not the same as the regular wheel) which gives out 20 – 500 spins on Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Isis or Shaman’s Dream. The Wheel of Slots sites usually have a weekly slots prize draw promotion and this month it is called Sneaky September. Players get one draw entry for each £10 played on the Art of the Heist slot (Tuesday – Monday) and there are three real cash prizes (£300, £150 and £75) to be won each week; as at the other network the promotion finishes on 25th September.
A couple of sites on this network now have exclusive promotions. Volcano Bingo has the best of these, an exclusive free bingo game for funded players at 8pm on Mondays; the prize fund is £20 with prizes down to 1TG but the real draw of this 90 ball game is that the 1L, 2L and FH winners all also win a free spin of the Wheel of Slots. If you prefer prize draw promotions try Free Spirit Bingo where there is usually one running; in September the prize is an owl themed perpetual calendar and players get one entry for each £10 deposited during the promo period.
Another piece of (not so welcome) news from the Jumpman sites is the recent introduction of the £500 max conversion rule. Basically, when you receive a bonus of any kind the maximum you can end up with from it in withdrawable cash is £500; the rest remains as bonus and cannot be converted, so when you withdraw you lose it all.
Cozy bingo sites on the Live Bingo Network and Best Bingo Network pretty well all have the same promotions. In the past these have included jackpot games with free tickets for depositors, a weekly/monthly slots tournament with casino bonus prizes for the top spenders and so on, but these are all gone now leaving only the remarkably unappealing promotion formerly known as “Your Cashback, Your Choice” and now called “Casino Cash Rewards”. This offers a “casino cash” percentage reward based on the amount the player deposits during the week, ranging from a 5% reward for deposits totalling £50 – £99 up to a 20% reward for deposits totalling £500 or more. The reward is a bonus with a wagering requirement of 20x on slots or 8x on bingo (in “cash” rooms only) and a 14 day expiry. It is not awarded automatically and has to be claimed before the end of the week, and it cannot be claimed if the player has made any withdrawals during the week or has more than £5 left in their account- so basically, the only way to qualify for this promotion is to deposit at least £50 and lose almost all of it before the end of the week.
Alternatively there is Game Village which runs on Cozy software but is on its own Lucky Duck Network, so all the offers and jackpot games are exclusive to them and to a couple of other sites including Becky’s Bingo. They have a bewildering array of promotions, most of which change monthly, but almost all of them require homeowner status which involves making three initial deposits and then depositing at least once every 30 days. The Charity Event continues to run, with all ticket monies from this month’s session going to the NSPCC, but as usual it is just one 50 minute stint of penny bingo in mid afternoon (one day a month) so unlikely to amount to much; there is no information on site about charity donations in previous months.
It was rumoured that Cozy would get rid of all their no deposit bonus offers on 1st August but – so far at least – this hasn’t happened. They have, however, made several other changes some of which are rather radical:
- The free bingo room has been removed. The only free bingo at any of the Cozy sites at the moment is a once a month session and a 7 day newbie room at Game Village and other Lucky Duck network sites. Free newbie rooms are rumoured to be coming to other Cozy sites soon.
- The other bingo rooms have been rearranged to keep cash play and bonus play completely separate from each other. On the Live Bingo Network and Best Bingo Network there are 5 cash only rooms and 3 fixed pot bonus only rooms. Bingo bonus can ONLY be used in these three rooms – but any winnings from there can be used in the cash rooms.
- The Lucky Duck Network now has access to the 3 fixed pot bonus rooms and, apparently, the networked rooms Victoria 90 and Downtown 80.
- At Live Bingo Network and Best Bingo Network the 75 ball provision is looking very poor. There’s now just one 75 ball room – it is only open in the evenings and only takes cash.
- The restriction on winnings from deposit bonuses has been changed for the worse, to 5 x bonus capped at £500.
- The rules for no deposit bonuses have also been simplified. Unless and until the player makes a deposit the maximum balance they can have is £50 (reset at midnight every day) and this cannot be withdrawn. As previously, in order to get at any cash winnings from such a bonus, players have to make a deposit and accept a bonus on it complete with wagering requirement – only then can the winnings be carried forward, as a type of bonus with the usual wagering requirement and a 14 day expiry, up to £50 (£20 at some sites) or the value of the first deposit, whichever is smaller. Anything else in the account (bonus, free tickets etc) is reset when the first deposit is made.
- The minimum and maximum withdrawal limits have changed too; the minimum weekly withdrawal has been reduced to £10. The maximum weekly withdrawal is now 2 x the average weekly deposit over the 4 preceding weeks, capped at £300 (£1000 in the case of a progressive jackpot win).
There IS one piece of welcome news from Cozy this month and that is the addition of some Net Ent slots including Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and Aloha Cluster Pays to the majority of Cozy bingo sites – be aware though that as these are classed as third party slots they can’t be played with any type of bonus, only with cash.
Had enough of Virtue Fusion, Dragonfish, Jumpman and Cozy? There are a number of other options out there, and some of them run some great promotions.
There are only a handful of Gamesys sites left now following the departure of Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo to Virtue Fusion last summer. They have Super Links network games with £20K guaranteed prizes every day and are very good sites to play at if you enjoy prize draw promotions but are no more than a modest spender, because Gamesys rules on prize draws almost always allow only one entry per player per day. The Gamesys platform, however, is very much geared towards desktop play with only a restricted selection of mobile bingo rooms available (but plenty of slots).
Heart Bingo have introduced some extra guaranteed prizes into their bingo schedule and also have Sugar Rush; this regular promotion (which started back in October) awards a percentage boost to every prize in the Candy Club room between 11am and noon; the percentage boost is different every day (and announced each day on the promo page) and can be from 10% right up to 200%. Glamorous Getaways is a prize draw promotion which runs until 24th September. Players opt in by playing the game on the promotion page in which they match a famous landmark with the city where it can be found: this decides which of the four draws they can enter (the prizes are mini breaks for two to London, Paris, Athens and Rome respectively). To enter, they then need to play £10 on bingo or £30 on slots (all on the same day). Heart also have a chat competition running on Saturdays throughout September and a Slot of the Day promotion until 22nd September, with a different offer every day.
Virgin Games is basically a casino with a couple of bingo rooms and most of the promotions are to do with slots, casino games or poker.
Jackpot Joy also have a range of exclusive promotions including a monthly £13,000 bingo game and frequent sharepots, but further details of these are only available on login.
Microgaming bingo sites have very little in the way of interesting promotions these days. One unique thing about the Microgaming platform is that it is the home of Immortal Romance Bingo, a bingo variant themed on the hugely popular slot – but apart from that, there is not much that is special about the network itself. The main advantage of choosing a Microgaming bingo site to play at is that they get all the new Microgaming slots as soon as they are released (although other bingo sites do have Microgaming slots these tend to be a smaller selection of older titles).
Dream Bingo used to run lots of exclusive promotions and had several non network bingo rooms, but now only has the network rooms and the occasional slots leaderboard. Dream also currently have a no deposit free spins offer but as the winnings are paid as casino bonus this only allows players to try out slots, not bingo.
Butlers Bingo and its sister sites which include the Irish charity bingo site Rehab Bingo have two exclusive bingo rooms. The Broadway Room is a standalone 90 ball room open in the afternoons and evenings offering a variety of jackpots and in the Spinner Room (open in the evenings), you can win free spins on specified slots; these rooms are clearly popular with players and led to Butlers winning awards for best Microgaming bingo site and for the best innovation in online bingo. Free spins are frequently part of the sign-up offer and are also given out to selected players . Over the last few months some extra jackpots have been added in the Broadway room, but these are mostly multi-level room jackpots rather than guaranteed prizes for specific games. The Broadway sites are also rather active on social media and put promotions such as prize draws out that way (for instance, for the 4th of July players could guess how many M&Ms were in a jar to win a hamper of American sweets).
Daub Alderney have four bingo sites which combine shared rooms and promotions with exclusive ones and offer the opportunity to play bingo on a different platform with a particularly good range of slots.
Kitty Bingo was the first site in the group to launch and the design upgrade to improve playability across all devices which we reported on recently is now live. As we predicted the NetEnt slots which have featured at the other Daub sites for some time now are being introduced as part of the upgrade.
Lucky Pants Bingo generally runs promotions that are more geared towards slots – such as the Spin O Clock regular Tuesday promotion which gives out free spins in lieu of a deposit bonus. It is also possible to choose a slots bonus offer as a welcome offer (on your first three deposits) if that’s what you prefer. Lucky Pants has NetEnt slots and the welcome offer includes free spins on these – Spinata Grande for the 20 free spins on registration and Spinata Grande, Koi Princess, Gonzo’s Quest and/or Starburst for the 100 free spins that are given out over the 5 days subsequent to making a first deposit.
Bingo Extra‘s USP is the exclusive Extra Room where several different varieties of bingo are played and extra features and prizes are the order of the day.
These three sites usually run a promotion each week (generally differing from each other in name only) where depositing or playing Monday to Thursday generates a reward on the Friday. After a summer break (during which the multi week Cash carnival promotion was run instead) this is now back and this week it is a version of the promotion where players collect points – specifically, 1 point for each £10 deposited, for each £10 played on bingo, and for each £50 played on slots. A minimum deposit of £10 is required to qualify at all (and opt-in is also required) and it seems this would also score the 1 point needed to collect the lowest level prize of 5 free spins. Winnings from the 5 free spins are capped at £5 and can only be used on bingo (but for VIP players, the win is capped at £15 and can also be used on slots). To receive the next prize up – 10 free spins – players need to score 15-29 points and the top prize of £50 cash bonus requires a score of 100 points or more.
Give Back Bingo is a charity bingo site that was launched late last year (and is missing most of the network promotions). They aim to donate all bingo profits to the charity of the month and document it on a Just Giving page. When this type of arrangement has been done at other charity bingo sites it has never worked well and it has rarely been clear how much has been donated to which charity – or indeed whether anything has – but they seem to be doing OK so far, raising a modest sum of around £500 a month. Give Back sometimes run their own exclusive promotions and until 12th September they have Slots 66, a promotion which requires the player to make a series of deposits with special codes to claim bonuses and free spins along the way with a £25 cash reward at the end (to reach the end, total deposits of over £200 would be needed).
The regular Win-Win game runs on Wednesday evenings at 10pm. Cards for this 90 ball game cost 20p (cash only) and there is a £200 guaranteed prize fund. If you don’t win, you receive your stake money back as bingo bonus. Weekly Shop plays every Tuesday night at 10pm and the prize in this 75 ball game, which has a card price of 5p, is a very useful £100 shopping vouchers. Fiver Frenzy (known as the Playground at Bingo Extra) is a 1p bingo game that plays twice a day at 1pm and 10pm; it is a 5 line game with £5 fixed prize per line.
On the last Friday of every month, the £10K Slider plays. This is a 5 line game with a card price of 20p and should the winner bingo in 45 or fewer calls they will take home the whole £10,000 jackpot (this is a considerably higher number of calls than the vast majority of sliding jackpot games at other sites – while it is still pretty unlikely that someone will actually win, it is a lot less unlikely than in similar games elsewhere). It starts to slide after that and when the ball count reaches 53 it reverts right back down to the guaranteed £400. Line prizes are £150 each and there is a card maximum of 72.
The Relax Gaming bingo platform has only been around since July 2015 and is exclusively found at sites operated by the Kindred Group (aka Unibet), who recently scored an industry first by being the first and so far the only iGaming operator to be certified for compliance with all six of the core principles of the 2014 EU Recommendation on Consumer Protection and Responsible Gambling.
Despite only powering a handful of sites the Relax network has a lot of players (many of whom are from Scandinavia rather than the UK); the four bingo rooms are always busy and the prize money is substantial. They have Roll On Bingo (previously only found on the Virtue Fusion platform) and they also have a selection of regular bingo promotions including 14 days of free bingo for newbies, jackpot games and tournaments (on bingo and on slots). A separate bingo bonusing system (with a 4x wagering requirement) comes into play quickly – the bingo vouchers are given out as rewards on spins of the loyalty wheel (after each £20 of play) and vouchers are used before and not after any cash the player may have in their account. Another thing that Relax has in common with Virtue Fusion and no other bingo platform is that there is a fully featured pre-buy system enabling tickets to be purchased up to a week ahead of time. The latest innovation at the Relax sites is lottery betting. This allows players to use their bingo/slots wallet to bet on the outcomes of various lotteries around the world – including the Euromillions at £2 a ticket instead of £2.50 – but not the UK lottery.
Maria Casino was previously a Virtue Fusion bingo site but received a radical makeover soon after going on to the Relax platform to put the focus more on slots (which they do extremely well).
Bingo.com has very much the same selection of slots as well as the same bingo rooms but gives the bingo a lot more prominence and often runs bingo promotions (such as bingo tournaments) that aren’t on at Maria. Bingo.com won the Fair Play Award at the 2016 bingo industry awards and this was judged by a panel of independent experts so you can be sure of very high standards of social responsibility and fair play there.
The Big Bingo Draw is September’s exclusive promotion. The draws take place on 11th, 18th and 25th September and players can get up to 15 entries a day via cash play in any of the four regular bingo rooms (£5 of cash play = 1 entry). The top prizes are £500 in week 1, £1000 in week 2 and £1500 in week 3 and there are runner up prizes of bingo vouchers and Money Mansion cash spins.
The Parlay platform was popular several years ago and then almost disappeared as far as UK bingo sites were concerned. The Parlay software now has a UK licence but still only powers a few sites including The Palaces and Bingo Palace (not to be confused with each other!). The Palaces have been running a series of prize draws but at the moment they just have a selection of reload offers.
The Bede Gaming bingo software powers Bingo Stars, Bingo Godz and the charity site Health Bingo. The main promotions of note here are the 50% reload bonus promotions available on both bingo and casino, but they also run slots/casino promotions from time to time.
The newest site on the Bede bingo network is Castle Jackpot. The site itself has been around for a while but the bingo has been added very recently and – as seems to be increasingly fashionable in the online bingo world – it is essentially a slots site with a bit of bingo (and a slots focused welcome offer). Castle Jackpot have a £5 bingo bonus, no deposit required, that can be claimed once a month by anyone with an account there (September’s claim code is 5FREESEPT); it has a 10x wagering requirement, 7 day expiry and £20 max convertible.
As far as promotions go, Tombola are best known for running daily free games. The one they are running at the moment is called Stars and has £30,000 in prizes to be won each week. To participate, players need to register a mobile number to be sent an access code each week. The code can then be used to access a ticket for the week’s play and this can be done on both Tombola Bingo and Tombola Arcade (a separate instant games site which can be accessed with a Tombola Bingo login) giving the player two chances to win. Each day, six numbers are called from the universe of 50 and players have to check their ticket and collect any stars with matching numbers. The aim is to complete the ticket by collecting 25 stars over the course of the week and each week, the £30,000 prize fund is shared equally between all the completed tickets (in the event that no-one wins, it rolls over to the following week increasing that week’s prize fund to £60,000). Players have been winning some very substantial amounts on this game – the prize for the week ending 25th June, for instance, was shared between just two players after having been rolled over from the previous week, netting them £30K each! Back in the summer Tombola ran a bingo game with probably the largest number of players ever seen online – 15,000 players showed up for the Bingo 90 Blowout which offered the opportunity to win £20,000. In fact it was so popular that they decided to do it again – not just once, but every Monday in September at 9pm (the games are called Tombola 20).
Slingo is a hybrid between bingo and slots and was a play-for-fun game until Gaming Realms bought the rights back in 2015. There are several real money Slingo games (including Deal or No Deal and X Factor themed versions) but only one of them – Slingo Boom aka Boom Bingo – is a multiplayer game that offers the same type of experience as bingo. Slingo Boom is essentially a fun version of 75 ball bingo with lots of extra bells and whistles and only one card per player (giving everyone an equal chance of winning). To learn more about Slingo Boom and about the single player versions of Slingo, read What Is Slingo? The latest single player versions of Slingo are Slingo Showdown (which adds a poker element to the game) and Slingo Rainbow Riches (which adds several bonus rounds).
Slingo Boom came out last May exclusively at Slingo.com, but this great game has not made much of an impact to date. This is rapidly changing as not only is there a a new TV advertising campaign for the brand, but they have secured a deal to sponsor the Jeremy Kyle Show. As well as the 25p and £1 Slingo Boom rooms – which now have many more players and bigger prizes than they did previously – there is a daily jackpot room. There’s also an extra spins bonus which comes into play after some games which offers a player the opportunity to buy extra spins after the game finishes for the chance to complete the board and win an amount equal to the full house prize. Slingo Boom is now available at other Gaming Realms sites including Spin Genie and the recently launched Deal or No Deal Casino.
Also recently introduced at Gaming Realms is the real money skill game Magic Mine. This is a match 3 game in the same vein as the ever popular Candy Crush and players are given 7 moves to collect as many diamond gems as possible (30 are required to break even). When played with the standard strategy the game has an extremely unappealing RTP of just 56.79% but they say this can be improved with skilful play. Magic Mine offers a range of stake levels from 50p – £10 and apart from the progressive jackpot the maximum win is 100 x stake.
