We are now well into the run-up to Christmas and many bingo sites now have ticket sales open for Christmas and New Year jackpots. It’s also time for a new lease of life for seasonally themed bingo sites including Santa’s Bingo, Season Bingo and Jingle Bingo.
The biggest and best forthcoming Christmas promotion is from Virtue Fusion – a million pound bingo game is in the offing and we now know the date and time of this – 30th December at 9pm. Although there have been so called million pound bingo games before, this is a complete departure in that it is NOT a sliding jackpot – the million pounds really is guaranteed to be won! It won’t all be won by the same person though; the prize breakdown in this 90 ball game is £500,000 for full house, £200,000 for 2 lines and £100,000 for 1 line, and the rest of the prize fund will be shared – £100,000 between all 1TG and 2TG tickets and £100,000 between all non-winning tickets. Tickets are priced at £2 each, with a maximum of 18 per player.
Both of the 888 big link rooms continue to run every evening. The 90 ball room (which is the more widely networked of the two) first appeared back in August and is open from 7pm – 11pm with all tickets priced at 5p. It was supposed to be for one month only but proved to be very popular indeed. The 75 ball version is more recent and appears from 4pm onwards at Joy of Bingo, Netboost and Dragonfish network sites only with all tickets priced at 10p. (The 90 ball version is also at Foxy Bingo). Both versions attract hundreds of players and therefore generate the sort of prize money (and high variance bingo) hitherto only seen at Virtue Fusion. The first game in the 90 ball room is especially popular as it has a guaranteed £1000 prize fund and tickets can be bought earlier in the day.
One of the biggest plus points of the Virtue Fusion network is that it features several big money promotions that run every single month. Bingo Linx games play several times every day across the entire network, typically with prizes of £1000+, and at certain times of the month the prizes get even bigger including a total of £250,000 in prizes over the final weekend of every month. These are the biggest real prizes you’ll find regularly at any bingo site but so many players are involved that the chance an individual player has of winning is pretty small.
This month’s big promotion is the previously mentioned £1 million bingo game at 9pm on 30th December and as well as smashing the record for the biggest guaranteed bingo full house prize, we would not be surprised to see record numbers of tickets in play – certainly well into the hundreds of thousands! It will also be a test of just how robust Playtech’s servers are (we’re guessing they will stand up to the load well). Some sites are offering the opportunity to win free tickets to this game but as usual with this type of promotion, players with free tickets will need to be in the room just before the game starts for the tickets to play out.
From 5th – 18th December there is a £500,000 promotion; the guaranteed prize games play every evening from 6pm till midnight in the network 90 ball room with a total of £50K to be won on Fridays and Saturdays and £30K on other days of the week.
The network has something new for slots lovers as well, in the form of the Cash Cubes slot. It is a 20 line slot with tumbling reels (after a win, the winning symbols disappear and more symbols drop down to fill the reels again, sometimes resulting in a further win). There’s also a Cash Cubes bingo promotion running for 10 days from 12th December; it is a repeat of the promotion that ran shortly after the game launched, awarding a share of the daily £5000 prize pool to everyone who completes a collection of 50 cubes that day. The share is proportional to the ticket price – so a collection of the £2 red cubes gets a share that is 20x that of a collection of the 10p orange cubes.
Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo migrated from Gamesys to the Virtue Fusion platform happened back in August but these sites do NOT look and play like regular Virtue Fusion sites. Instead the bingo rooms and lobby look very much as they did prior to the move, with the Virtue Fusion software running quietly in the background; this brings Cash Cubes on to the desktop without the new style (HTML5) Virtue Fusion bingo lobby – a welcome development for the many players who dislike the new lobby. Fabulous has the better welcome offer of the two sites, but fewer ongoing promotions.
The Sun Bingo Christmas Countdown is an Advent Calendar style promotion with a different offer every day and these have mostly been bonus offers combined with daily prize draw entries; the prize draws feature nearly £100K worth of tangible prizes including electronics and shopping and holiday vouchers.
Fabulous Bingo are giving away tickets to the £1M game as prizes in 4 games to be played between 8pm and 9pm every day. 1 line, 2 line and FH winners each get 6 tickets, and tickets for these Free Ticket Giveaway games cost 5p each. The maximum number of free tickets that can be acquired by one player is 12. Fabulous also have Head to Toe, a prize draw promotion running until 14th; players can collect one entry per day by playing £10 cash on bingo or £30 cash on slots and there are 30 prizes of £100 Love2Shop vouchers.
Bgo have some exclusive BGO World bingo rooms and an exclusive free spins offer for new players, plus an excellent selection of slots and a very nice slots/casino welcome offer that can be taken as an alternative to bingo bonus. The Big Competition runs every month; to qualify for the extra shopping voucher prizes in the three special games on the last Friday of the month (30th December) players need to deposit £20 and play £10 on bingo and £10 on mini games in the exclusive Fairy Delight bingo room. Most weekends there is an extra bonus on offer (usually play £10 get £10, with a 2x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) and the code is announced on the Friday; for 9th – 11th it is GIFT. The Boss’s Chat Christmas Party will take place in the Fairy Delight room from 8pm – 10pm on 22nd December; players choose a number before the party starts and if 1L is called on their number they win a bonus equal in value to the 1L prize (they must have 6 tickets in play to claim). If no-one claims the prize rolls over to the next game. Numbers can be booked in advance (any time between now and then) with the chat hosts. Bgo also have an Advent Calendar promotion, the Bah Humbug Bonanza (featuring Verne Troyer’s The Boss dressed up as Scrooge), but the daily bonus and free spins offers are only for slots, not bingo, and carry a 35x wagering requirement.
At Bet365 there is almost always a big exclusive going on. Winter Wishlist started on 26th November and runs on a weekly cycle until 23rd December. The Stocking Filler games run from 11am – 12 noon, 3.30 – 5.30 pm and 8.30 – 10.30pm Saturday – Thursday in the Gifts Galore Room (tickets priced at 5p or 10p) and as usual, players get one All-Winners Finale ticket for every line or full house win in these games. A finale game plays each week, at 9pm on the Friday and the first of these, on 2nd December, has £400 M&S vouchers to be won (split £250/£100/£50). Tickets for finale games can also be purchased for £1 and the maximum is 36 tickets. Like its immediate predecessor, this promotion has the Party Hour extra; this takes place immediately prior to the finale game and players get 6 free tickets to each of the 10 games for every £5 played in the Gifts Galore room (again, the maximum is 36).
Bet365 also have Ready Steady Go, which is a regular double your winnings promotion running from 5th – 11th and again from 19th – 25th December. To qualify players need to opt in (this only needs to be done once) and play in the 6 featured bingo rooms. Any cash wins in these rooms from cash ticket purchases will be doubled up to an extra £10 for play on desktop, another £10 for play on tablet and yet another £10 for play on mobile. The cash has to be withdrawn or played within 7 days.
Bet365’s exclusive bingo rooms include the Mojo Lounge which runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9pm with all cards at 5p and at least 50 Roll On prizes. FH winners also have the opportunity to choose a Mojo Vault key. If the key they pick opens the vault they win £20 bingo bonus. If no-one manages to open the vault during the evening the amount is incremented by £5 and this continues until someone wins. To get into Mojo Lounge for the week you have to spend £10 cash on bingo over the preceding weekend (or any time up until 30 minutes before the first game). Although Bet365 have the old style Flash bingo lobby for most of their bingo rooms, they also offer Cash Cubes on desktop via HTML5.. Lastly there is the rolling Bingo Slots Club promotion. Opt in and earn one loyalty point for each £10 played on slots (but do be aware that only slots in the Games section of Bet365 Bingo count, not slots from elsewhere on site) , and at the end of the 2 week period an extra slots bonus (with a 20x wagering requirement) is given out for reaching a certain level of Loyalty Points on a certain number of days – this ranges from £1 for getting 10 Loyalty Points on 2 of the days to a whopping £1000 for getting 2000 Loyalty Points on 10 of the days. This month’s qualifying periods include 28th November – 11th December.
Elsewhere on Bet365, the £1,000,000 Spectacular slots and games prize draw promotion runs from 5th December – 1st January. This is similar to the Virtue Fusion network promotion that ran last month in that players get 1 ticket for each £10 played on the featured games and 2 tickets if it is on the Double Ticket slot. The prizes are all bonuses (of up to £1000) with a 7 day expiry and 5x wagering requirement. The first two draws feature slots and games from the Games section of Bet365. From 5th – 8th, the featured slots are Gemix, Book of Dead and Rage to Riches with Golden Ticket as the double ticket slot, and from 9th – 11th the featured games are Roulette, Blackjack and Pentagram, with Super Graphics Upside Down as the double ticket slot. The following week, the promotion moves on to the Vegas section.
Sky Bingo ‘s move to HTML5 a couple of months back brought an exclusive bingo variant, Mystical Bingo. This 50 ball bingo game has a magical woodland theme and has the same single-card mechanic as Cash Cubes (priced at 25p, 50p, £1 or £2); the card has 10 numbers represented by insects. Sky’s Christmas Countdown consists of several different promotions. These include Late Night Shopping which is extra prizes in the Sky Community Room for 3 hours every Thursday until 22nd, and Christmas Party which is a £2000 party room for 1 hour on Sunday 4th, 11th and 18th (as usual with Sky Party, the tickets are a mixture of free and paid). To gain entry to the party players need to have played £20 on bingo Monday – Saturday, and in the party room, 1L winners will win a free ticket to the £1 million game, 2L winners will win 3 free tickets and FH winners will win 6 free tickets (maximum 12 free tickets per player). Christmas Bonus promotions continue to run. All players who opt in with code MYSTERY and play £25 cash on bingo between 9th and 15th December will receive a mystery bingo bonus of £5 or more (with 2x wagering and 14 day expiry). Sky also have Share The Love, which is a fresh take on refer-a-friend promotions. To participate players will need to like the Sky Bingo Facebook page and share a winner story from it; 20 players each month will win £50 cash.
Sky Bingo is a particularly good choice for those new to online bingo; the welcome offer is generous, available on a £5 deposit and has a one month expiry instead of the 7 days now commonly found at Virtue Fusion bingo sites, and the Sky Newbie Room is open for 4 hours a day offering free bingo alternating with penny bingo and lots of chat games. Sky players can also visit the Vegas section of the site (offering a wider selection of slots than the bingo section) to claim 10 free spins on Slots O’Gold; these are available until 8th December. Also at Sky Vegas, the multi level Avalanche promotion started on 5th December. Players can participate by playing just £1 cash on slots; this awards 1 ticket to that day’s prize draw and all subsequent prize draws until the promotion ends on 8th January; the prizes increase during the life of the promotion and are a combination of cash (larger amounts) and bonus with a single playthrough requirement (smaller amounts). Players can also earn one of 7 deposit bonuses each week of the promotion; all levels of bonus are 100% (with 10x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) and what differs is the maximum bonus, ranging from £10 (for 50-249 points scored that week) right up to £500 (for 20,000 or more points scored that week). Like most Sky Vegas promotions this has something for every level of spend from dabblers to high rollers.
The best promotion at Paddy Power remains the welcome bonus offer which is not quite as good as it used to be but still a very worthwhile 500% on a deposit of just £5. The only restriction is that you have to spend it on bingo tickets within 30 days. The site has recently had a makeover but all the regular exclusives remain. Money Back Mondays is one of these; it requires opt-in but this only has to be done once a month. The promotion involves three £100 guaranteed games that play between 7pm and 10pm; if you play these games and don’t win overall, your cash stakes will be refunded as bingo bonus.
At Mecca Bingo the new and improved version of Emoji Bingo has arrived in the Christmas Emoji Bingo room together with the exclusive Emoji Reactors slot. Royal 5s is a new playing card based bingo variant that has just arrived at Mecca on HTML5 only (so not from the old style Flash bingo lobby). It is similar to Tombola’s Cinco game and the Flash Fives game at some 888 sites. Players can buy up to 5 of the 5 card hands per game and all games are multi stake offering 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1 price points. The room features full house prizes of up to £100 and there’s also a progressive community jackpot, seeded at £5000 and split 50/50 between the winner and all other players, which drops when someone completes their hand in the first 5 calls; as the chances of doing this with one hand are 1 in 2.5 million it could get pretty big before it drops.
The Christmas Playback promotion runs until December 9th. This promotion, which was voted for by players back in November, offers a 10% bonus back on bingo cash losses for players who opt in with code CHRISTMAS; the bonus has a 14 day expiry and single playthrough requirement and the maximum payout is £100. After that, Christmas Cashback Climber runs on 10th and 11th December (and every weekend until Christmas); opt in with code XMASCASH and deposit and play £20 on slots on one (for 10% of losses back up to £10) or both days (for 20% of losses back up to £50). This is actual cash back, not bonus. The £10K Festive Slots Prize Draw takes place on 19th December; after opting in with code JINGLE players get one entry for each £5 played on Jingle Jackpots and/or Secrets of Christmas until 16th December. Mecca also have an Advent Calendar giving out assorted prize draw entries, bonuses and bonus codes.
Mecca have announced a programme of extras for the evening of the £1M bingo game, including a number of free and guaranteed prize bingo games. Also still running until the end of December is a weekly contest on their Facebook page, open to anyone who wins a prize during the week; upload a selfie and chat name to take part and be in with a chance of winning £100 bingo bonus.
The bingo promotions at Betfair are rarely up to much, mostly consisting of Betfair Boost add-ons (usually bonus codes) to the network promotions, but this site has a great deal to offer slots players, starting with the welcome offer which adds a 250% slots bonus to the generous 350% bingo bonus (to qualify for this you must sign up via our link). By far the best promotions at this site are slots promotions to be found over in the Arcade section – and they include an amazing £15,000 weekly free bets raffle that you only need to play one single slots cash spin to enter! There’s no need to open another account to play the slots there as the same wallet can be used in both places.
Gala Bingo were the first of the big Virtue Fusion bingo sites to introduce the HTML5 bingo lobby, and their version of it includes the option in some rooms of placing a range of side bets (odd/even, colour, pairs or high/low) on the ball on which bingo will be called! Although both Flash and HTML5 versions are available on desktop and you can choose whichever you prefer, HTML5 is required to access several of the rooms including the Emmerdale bingo room, Cash Cubes and the Big Banker room (find out more about these in our article about online bingo variants). Gala have an ongoing daily free scratchcard promotion whereby two free scratchcards (1 x Roy’s Rolls and 1 x Buzzby) can be claimed on any day you play at least £5 on bingo. There is also a daily slots promotion; play £10 on bingo or slots to claim a free spin on the special Win-A-Spin slot. This gives out a guaranteed bonus of 20p – £50 for use on one of the six Gala Gold slots, with only a single playthrough requirement (and 7 day expiry).
Gala’s Giftmas Giveaway runs from 21st November – 25th December. Each day there is a fresh promotion for players to reveal by wiping the frost off the window pane on the promo page; participating in the day’s promotion awards the player with 6 free tickets for the Giftmas Giveaway game at 10pm the following day (they do have to be in the room when the game plays to claim them). These games have line prizes of £50 and £100 cash and a tangible prize for FH. Gala are also advertising Win Your Share of £10 Million, 20th November – 31st December, but this is just the overall total of cash to be won in all bingo rooms (network or exclusive) during the promo period and not really a promotion in itself.
Gala have an ongoing charity promotion, 52 Lives, and this has been stepped up for Christmas. As well as the usual Sunday evening 25p charity games, a game will play at 8pm every day from 8th – 18th December with a ticket price of 10p, £100 in prizes and all profits given to the charity.
Coral Bingo has many of the same extra features as Gala Bingo, including Coronation Street Bingo, Big Banker Bingo, Bingo Lotto , Coconut Island Bingo and Emmerdale Bingo and the side bet facility. The Chase Slot has arrived at Coral but the bingo variant has not as yet (if past form is anything to go by the bingo room will follow weeks or months later). Coral also has the regular Bingoal room at 5pm every Saturday and Sunday; this is 90 minutes of free 90 ball bingo with no entry restrictions, to play while watching (or instead of watching) the football (outside the football season as well). Each game pays £5 bingo bonus for 1L, £10 bingo bonus for 2L and £15 bingo bonus for FH – these bonuses can only be used to buy bingo tickets, and have to be used within 7 days, but apart from that there are no wagering requirements. Coral’s Christmas Countdown runs from 1st – 22nd December and each day, players can collect a stamp by playing £5 on bingo. Collect 6 (or more) stamps to receive a £10 bingo bonus on 23rd. Collect 12 stamps to enter the prize draw (cash prizes of £25 – £1000 for 1st – 9th plus chocolate hampers for 10th – 20th) and get one extra prize draw entry for each stamp collected in excess of 12. Jingle Slots is a play £10, get £5 bonus promotion on a different slot each weekend in December; the £5 bonus on offer is NOT a slots bonus, but a bingo bonus with a 2x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry. Players who qualify for all four of these bonuses will also get a share of a £1000 bingo bonus sharepot on 28th December. This weekend, 9th – 12th December, the slot is Coronation Street Slot and the code is CORRIE.
Ladbrokes Bingo have Snowball in the Attic, an escalator jackpot promotion running from 8am every day 1st – 14th December in the Attic bingo room; the jackpot pays out £500 for the winner and £500 for everyone else and is initially set to drop at 38 balls. If it has not been won by 5pm the ball count goes up by one every hour and if it has not been won by 6 minutes to midnight, it is guaranteed to drop in the next game regardless of ball count.
Betfred Bingo is another Playtech / Virtue Fusion bingo site that hasn’t had much in the way of exclusives but what they do have (as well as their own bingo rooms and the new HTML5 bingo lobby) is the mother of all welcome bonus offers including a bingo bonus, a slots bonus, a casino bonus and a Lotto free bet. Countdown to Christmas is a prize draw promotion running on a weekly cycle until Christmas (the final draw takes place on Boxing Day). Each week, there are 2 Krug Baumen watches to be won and to participate players must first opt in with the code of the week; one draw ticket is awarded for each £25 of cash play and this can be on either bingo or bingo side games. Betfred also have a rather ingenious Advent Calendar promotion. Each day from 1st – 23rd December, a different set of visual clues are posted on site and once opted in, players have to work out which game (slot or bingo room) the clues refer to; each £1 played on the correct game of the day awards 1 entry to the prize draw on 28th December (prizes include a PS4 and a number of Blu-Ray players). One participant each week will receive a £20 bingo bonus, and 20 participants overall will receive 5 free tickets to the £1M network game on 30th December.
This group of sites (owned by Canadian iGaming giant Intertain who also own Jackpot Joy) is well known for its inventive promotions, but some of them are much better for promotions than others. All have guaranteed jackpot games most evenings, but these are often networked with other sites and it is none too clear which are and which aren’t (looking at the player numbers can yield a clue). No-deposit bonuses and automatic reload bonuses are on offer at this network and another feature which is good for fair play is that most of the regular bingo rooms have a lower than usual maximum purchase of 24 or 48 cards.
These sites now offer players the choice of the classic bingo lobby or a tablet style lobby. The second option brings the tablet (and mobile) version of the bingo platform to the desktop and the reason this has been done is almost certainly because Google Chrome is phasing out Flash, which is needed for the classic lobby but not the tablet version (tablets and mobiles have not supported Flash for some time, or not at all in the case of Apple devices). The Chrome browser will soon disable Flash and although it is possible to re-enable it for specific sites players may find it easier just to switch to the tablet lobby.
One very common format for promotions at these sites to take is that of the big prize game. These generally have a tangible prize or prizes worth around £500 (occasionally £1000) and are open to funded players only. There is almost always some way of getting free cards through depositing and/or playing, but they also sell them for 10 Diamonds each (from their cross-brand rewards scheme), or for £2 or £5 cash (although this is extremely poor value considering the excessively large number of cards that are usually in play for these games). Diamonds from one site can be used at any other site where the player has a funded account (although you will need to move up a level in the loyalty scheme by amassing lifetime deposits of £50 or more to be allowed to redeem them against anything other than the aforementioned prize games).
Another signature promotion is a weekly free sliding jackpot game for the week’s depositors (6 cards can be claimed on the day of the game by those who have made a deposit in the last 7 days). There are two versions of this, one on Fridays and one on Sundays; most sites have one or the other but a couple have neither and a few have both. As sliding jackpots go the Friday night game is certainly one of the better ones as the £10,000 cash headline prize does not start to slide until the ball count (in a 75 ball coverall game) gets higher than 44 and for the prize to go all the way down to the baseline guaranteed £1000, bingo would have to be in a very slow 70 calls. Since it is not unusual for this particular game to have 20,000 or more cards in play it is extremely unlikely that the game would last that long. It also has additional prizes; 1TG players share £1000 bonus and 2TG players share £2000 bonus. The Sunday night game is a very poor relation; the ball count required to win the £5000 jackpot is ludicrously low at 29 calls, the baseline £500 is for bingo in 51 or more calls and there’s nothing for 1TG or 2TG. Of course it is still worth claiming the free cards for the Sunday game whenever you have made the necessary deposit at a site that offers it.
Apart from at Fancy Bingo – where almost all games are penny bingo – the only penny bingo at these sites comes in the form of a network 90 ball game which runs 6 times a day (at most but not all sites) with a £25/£15/£10 prize split, and a 75 ball game for funded players (again shared between several sites) on Wednesday or Saturday evening for £50 cash or a tangible prize, depending on which site you play from. The rest of the network does have free bingo (75 and 90 ball) which is open to all players, as well as some free rooms with larger prizes that are for recent depositors only.
The playing card based bingo variant Bingo Vegas (the same game already seen at Foxy and 888 Ladies) was launched at Costa in the summer and has now also appeared at other sites including Sing Bingo, City Bingo and recent launch Kingdom of Bingo. A speed version of the same game is supposedly coming soon.
Costa Bingo was the first site in the group to open way back in 2009. It remains the busiest of them all with the largest number of bingo rooms to choose from, runs the most promotions and was the original home of the Friday sliding jackpot game which it still runs. It also has the latest version of the Dragonfish bingo platform. Free Spin Frenzy is a 5 line game that runs every Sunday evening; cards are 5p and as the name suggests the prizes are free spins (100 per line). Costa’s Advent Calendar is now on site and it runs until 3rd January; funded players can open a door each day to collect a freebie including points, Diamonds, free spins and bonus offers. Festive Food Feast is a 90 ball game that will run on 15th December; all three prizes are food/drink hampers worth £770 in total and the only way to get free tickets is by playing slots (1 ticket per £20 of cash play). This can be done until 14th December and tickets are also on sale for £5 cash or 10 Diamonds. Stocking Filler games run every evening at 9.30pm until 15th December with a card price of 1p, offering a selection of toiletries and items of jewellery as prizes.
At Treasure Bingo the regular Truth or Dare deposit bonus promotion runs most weeks. Each week, for a deposit of £10 – £100, the TRUTH code and the DARE code can be used once each. TRUTH awards a specified bonus and DARE awards a mystery bonus. The TRUTH bonus until 11th December is 80%. Merry Motherlode is a 75 ball game to be played on 3rd January with a prize of a £500 Pandora gift card. Until 2nd January, players can collect 1 free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and/or each £20 played on slots, or buy them for £5 cash or 10 Diamonds. Treasure has both Friday and Sunday sliding jackpot games for depositors.
The Wish Bingo weekly prize games are called Wishing Well and they run in the Wednesday time slot; December’s prizes include a Clarins gift set and Ugg boots. Wish Upon a Star is a 75 ball game which will play on 19th December, with a straightforward £500 cash to be won. Until 18th December players can collect one free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and/or each £20 played on slots; as usual cards can also be bought for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. £5K Sunday Snowball is also being advertised but as one would expect from the name this is just a temporary run of the network Sunday sliding jackpot game for the week’s depositors.
At City Bingo the promotions are themed round a different city each month and this month – as expected – City Cat is in the fictitious town of Santaville. The Santa Cat Is Coming to Town 75 ball game plays on 19th December and the prize is £500 worth of home cinema kit. Until 18th December players can collect one free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and/or each £20 played on slots; as usual cards are also on sale for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. All ticket holders will go into a prize draw where 50 players will each win 5 free spins on the I Love Christmas slot (winnings capped at £5). Another 5 free spins on this festive slot (again capped at £5 and with a 5 day expiry) are being given away to 5 randomly selected funded players every day until 22nd December. The weekly prize games are called City Souvenirs and run in the Wednesday time slot; this month’s prizes are all Christmas hampers. This month City is also running prize games in the Saturday time slot, each with a card price of 1p and a prize of a Harrods wine gift set.City is one of the sites to have a regular chat tourney, which runs for an hour at a time in a different room and at a different time of day every weekday. It is unlike the usual sort of chat tourney in that instead of getting points for winning bingo, you get them for shouting out a city themed catchphrase (this month it is RUDOLPH) when your lucky number is called. You then get to pick a grid number to see what your score is and the two players with the highest score at the end of the hour win 2500 Diamonds each. City Bingo has the Sunday version of the weekly sliding jackpot game (and in fact was its original home).
Rio Bingo has weekly prize games in the Saturday time slot, called Gift Shop. December’s prizes are all kitchen appliances. Jingle Bell Ball is a 75 ball game to be played on 15th December, with £500 of restaurant and shopping vouchers to be won. Until 14th December players get one free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and/or each £20 played on slots and as usual, cards can also be bought for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. Very Merry Slot Drop is a slots promotion that is on site until 21st December; each day, players can collect free spins on the slot of the day depending on how much they spend on slots play – 5 free spins for £10 of slots play, 10 free spins for £50 of play or 20 free spins for £100 of play. The sliding jackpot at Rio is the Sunday version.
At Sing Bingo the musical theme for December is Christmas. Jingle Bell Rocks is a 90 ball game on 18th December, with three items of jewellery to be won; the only way to get free cards for this is via slots play (5 cards are awarded for each £10 played on slots until 15th December) and as usual they are also on sale for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. Little Diamond Boy runs until 3rd January and in order to qualify for this promotion a whopping £500 of slots play is required. Qualifying players will receive an extra 2 Diamonds per £1 played on slots during the promo period on top of the usual 1. The extra Diamonds (up to a maximum of 5000) will be sent via email on 4th January. Step Into Christmas is the 9.30pm 1p games (running until 15th) as seen at Costa, but the prizes here are all pairs of novelty animal slippers. The weekly prize games are called TFI Friday and as you’d expect they run in the Friday time slot. The cards are a bit more expensive at 5p as compared to the Wednesday and Saturday games at other sites but the prizes tend to be better as well. December’s prizes include a sparkly clutch bag on 9th and a champagne and chocolate hamper on 30th. Sing also has a regular chat tourney which runs for 2 hours each day Monday – Friday (a different room and time each day, details on site). Win bingo and you get 250 Sing Points for yourself and 250 for a funded roomie of your choice, plus 1 tourney point for your team and the chance to win another team point by answering a trivia question correctly. The team with the most points at the end of the 2 hours win 5000 Sing Points each (you do need to stay in the room for at least 90 minutes, and until the end of the session, to get them). Sing also has Jukebox Jumble, a free game that can be played once a day for 7 days after depositing £5 or more and pays out bonus codes, free spins, Sing Points and so forth.
Fancy Bingo is a penny bingo site and most of the regular games have 1p tickets; that is its USP. Fancy is running Diamond Decs and this is exactly the same slots promotion as at Sing; it seems an extraordinary choice of promotion for a penny bingo site given that players must play £500 cash on slots to qualify for anything at all! Fancy also has the 9.30pm 1p games as at Costa, under the name Beauty Baubles and feating make-up sets as prizes. Tech Toy Treats is Fancy’s next big game; it is a 90 ball game scheduled for 18th December and the prizes are a remote control R2-D2, a smart watch and a Hatchimal. Free cards to this game can be collected by making deposits (1 card for each £10 deposited until 15th December) – or buy for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The weekly prize games are called Fancy That and play on Saturday nights, priced at 1p or 2p. December’s prizes are all sets of headphones. The sliding jackpot at Fancy is the Sunday version of the game, with the slight difference that players have to have funded their account in the previous 4 days to qualify (rather than the previous 7 days as at other sites), and there’s also a free daily game, Tea Party, for recent depositors similar to that at other sites in the group but again, the period for which it can be played following a deposit is 4 days rather than 7.
At Monkey Bingo, the weekly prize games are called Monkey Nuts and run in the Wednesday slot. December’s prizes are all gadgets. Festive Feast is a 90 ball game on 18th December; all three prizes are M&S festive hampers. Until 14th December players can collect 1 free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and each £20 played on slots, or buy for the usual £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. Monkey are also running the 9.30pm 1p games as seen at Costa and other sites, but with a straightforward £50 cash prize. The sliding jackpot at Monkey is the Sunday version.
The Christmas themed Season Bingo has had little in the way of exclusive promotions for the last few months but is now gearing up again ready for the festive season. As well as the Friday £10K sliding jackpot game and a daily free game, Pick A Present, for players who have deposited in the last 7 days, it is running Santa’s Workshop prize games in the Friday (5p) time slot until 19th December. Santa’s Cash Stash plays on 19th December with a straightforward £500 cash to be won; until 18th December 1 free card for this 75 ball game is awarded for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and for each £20 played on slots and as usual they can also be bought for £2 or 10 Diamonds. Also at Season, Cash Snowflake runs until 21st December. This is a cash drop promotion, with £1000 in bonus to be given away altogether into randomly selected funded accounts; players should log in every day after 11am to see if they have received a drop and if they have, they will need to play with some of it to claim it. Unclaimed drops will be passed to a different account the next day.
Frozen Bingo hasn’t been running prize games for a few months, but has one for Christmas – and the penguins and snowman are all dressed up in Santa hats. The Winter Wonderland 90 ball game is scheduled for 19th December and all three prizes are shopping vouchers. It follows the usual format with cards priced at £2 or 10 Diamonds, and players being able to collect free cards until 18th December at the rate of one card per £10 deposited, per £10 played on bingo and per £20 played on slots. Frozen has both versions of the sliding jackpot game.
Crocodile Bingo also has the Friday £10K sliding jackpot game and daily free game (Crocodile Dentist) for players who have deposited in the last 7 days, with prizes of bonuses, loyalty points, Diamonds, free spins or even cash.
The less popular Mandalay sites Sparkly Bingo, Bingola , Angry Bingo, Farmyard Bingo and Giant Bingo haven’t run prize games for quite some time but still run a few shared regular network promotions (including the £5K Sunday sliding jackpot). Dino Bingo has stopped running prize games but has both Friday and Sunday versions of the sliding jackpot game.
Two Mandalay owned sites launched earlier this year, Deep Sea Bingo and Sweet Shop Bingo, aren’t part of this network but are on the main Dragonfish network instead, with the Dragonfish network rooms (including the big link rooms) and promotions and no exclusives. What they do have, though, is the Diamond Club – so Diamonds from other sites can be redeemed for bonuses there, and Diamonds earned at Deep Sea or Sweet Shop can be used for bonuses and prize game tickets at the other sites.
The most recent launches of all, fairytale themed Kingdom of Bingo and 80s themed Rewind Bingo, see a return to the Costa network but (so far at least) without any special prize games. Kingdom has the Friday and Sunday night sliding jackpot games as well as the new Bingo Vegas variant. Rewind just has the Friday sliding jackpot.
The Netboost network (which has recently been bought by Stride Gaming the parent company of Daub Alderney of Kitty Bingo fame) includes Loony Bingo, Gossip Bingo, Sugar Bingo, Moon Bingo, Robin Hood Bingo, Polo Bingo, Diva Bingo, Cupcake Bingo and a couple of others. The USP of the network is its sliding jackpot games such as Super Millionaire which plays on the third Saturday of the month and offers the (extremely remote) possibility of winning a million pounds (you would have to bingo in a stupendously unlikely 24 calls to win it). Cards to Super Millionaire cost £1 and the baseline prize is £1000 (for 35 calls or more). If sliding jackpot games float your boat but you would prefer something cheaper there is Penny Bonanza on the third Wednesday of the month with cards at just 1p and prizes for 1TG and 2TG; the guaranteed coverall prize is £300 with £5000 up for grabs should bingo be called sufficiently quickly (29 calls) . A third sliding jackpot game with 30p cards plays every Saturday (again, with 29 calls the magic number).
Another of these games, the Daily Grand runs every night at 10pm with cards priced at a hefty £2; while this sounds expensive compared to the other sliding jackpot games, the £1000 is paid out if someone wins in 47 calls or fewer and although this is still pretty unlikely it is several orders of magnitude less unlikely than someone winning one of the other headline prizes. At 48 calls the jackpot slides to £800 and continues to slide until it reaches the guaranteed £100 at 62 (or more) calls. There’s also £50 to be shared by 1TG and another £50 to be shared by 2TG players. This game has now been replaced for the festive season by the Holly Jolly Jackpot aka Santa’s Stash and although this version of the promotion has a headline prize of £2500 for the same card price, the number of calls within which bingo must be called to win is lower (44) than in the regular version. The guaranteed prize, for 55 calls or more, is £300 and there’s £100 for 1TG and £100 for 2TG.
The Power Penny daily sliding jackpot game also runs every evening at 11pm. As you’d expect, cards for this 75 ball game cost 1p each (and at that price, there are probably tens of thousands of cards in play each time). The headline prize is £250 but for anyone to win this they would have to get a coverall in 35 calls; 57 calls or more and the winner gets the guaranteed £25 only.
The Grand 55 is yet another sliding jackpot game which is being run as a one-off on New Year’s Eve. The headline prize is £55,000 but this requires bingo in 26 calls (a ridiculously low number) and by far the likeliest outcome is for the prize to slide right down to the guaranteed £5000 for bingo in 43 calls or more – especially since unlike the majority of 75 ball games this particular game does not have the centre square free so requires 25 numbers rather than 24 to be daubed. There’s also £1500 for 1TG and £1000 for 2TG. Cards cost a hefty £5 each, but there are plenty of opportunities to win free cards in the four special games that play from 10:30pm until 10:45pm every day. The prizes range from two free cards for 1L in the 5p game to 50 free cards for FH in the 20p game and pre-buy is available for all four games. Player numbers in this game are showing at over 75,000 already but this must surely be some kind of reporting malfunction as there are only 12 sets of free cards to be won per day; if this figure were to be correct, even if all the players had just one card each it would make the £5 cash card price one of the most dreadful rip-offs ever seen in online bingo! On the plus side, if the game really does have that many cards in play it does increase the chances (a bit) of someone actually winning one of the larger prizes.
Cards are now on sale for the network’s New Year’s Day game and unusually for this group of sites it is NOT a sliding jackpot! It is a 90 ball game with tickets priced at 10p each and £2017 to be won – £1000 for FH, £750 for 2L and £267 for 1L.
Cheap and Cheerful is a BOGOF type promotion which applies to the six 3p games every day with a fixed £50 jackpot. In order to get free tickets, however, players have to buy 12 strips, which is 72 tickets; they then receive another 4 strips free to make the total up to the maximum 96 tickets at a total cost of £2.16.
Another signature type of promotion from this group is increasingly complicated welcome bonus arrangements including slots bonuses and free bingo cards for the daily sliding jackpot game, as found at Moon Bingo and Gossip Bingo . If you aren’t interested in the free bingo cards try Robin Hood Bingo for a (large) plain old bingo bonus, or Polo Bingo for a series of bingo and slots bonuses (up to £1500 altogether) on the first ten deposits. Other sites in this network include Sugar Bingo, Diva Bingo and Cupcake Bingo. Loony Bingo used to have this sort of complex arrangement including free bingo cards and a slots bonus, but this has now been replaced with a no deposit bonus and a welcome offer that is bingo bonus only.
Tip Top Bingo and Ted Bingo are the most recent launches from this group and both have generous and straightforward welcome offers and several promotions that reward loyal players. Wagering requirements vary across this group and can be anywhere from a single playthrough of deposit and bonus up to 4x, but in general the newer sites seem to be better in this area, and all sites here have more favourable wagering requirements for slots bonus than sites on the main Dragonfish network. They have the same policy as the main Dragonfish network regarding the £400 win limit from free spins and slots bonuses; this does not apply to progressive jackpot wins but be aware that the terms and conditions at these sites stipulate that play on progressive jackpot slots only counts at 50% towards wagering requirements.
The main Dragonfish network includes both independently owned sites such as Circus Bingo and its sister sites Pixie Bingo and Oink Bingo, and house owned sites such as Celeb Bingo, Spy Bingo and Easter Bingo. The advantage of choosing a house owned site – apart from the reassurance of dealing with such a huge and well known operator – is that they are very unlikely to opt out of any of the network promotions. Independently owned sites do opt out from time to time; several, for instance, did not run the massively networked £200K jackpot games earlier in the year and many of them do not offer the million pound sliding jackpot games. Currently, a lot of independently owned sites are NOT offering the £50K Cash Stash or £2017 Midnight Madness promotions. Another difference is in the range of slots on offer. On the other hand, some of the independently owned sites have exclusive bingo rooms and promotions which can’t be found elsewhere on the network – for example, the aforementioned Circus Bingo has the Pablo’s Nuts bonus game, a £1000 free monthly game for depositors, a weekly sliding jackpot with the (albeit very tiny) chance of winning a holiday in Las Vegas and the £100 Frozen Fortunes game which plays at 9pm on Sundays during December.
To take full advantage of all the bingo rooms on the network players need to be frequent depositors as several of the rooms (including all the free rooms) have an entry condition whereby a deposit must have been made in the last 7 days. Depositing regularly is beneficial for the loyalty scheme as well, as loyalty level is reset every month and depends on how much was deposited during the previous month. The benefits include a modest bonus back on losses, free slots spins and free tickets to the monthly Big £10K community jackpot game; a single deposit of the minimum the site allows during the month is enough to qualify for the lowest level of these benefits but to get the maximum you’ll need to deposit £200 or more. The Big £10K itself typically has over 15,000 players and although £10K sounds a lot, the line and full house prizes are only £250, £500 and £750 as a result of most of the prize money being split between 1TG (£2000), 2TG (£1500) and all remaining tickets (£5000). If you don’t qualify for free tickets for the Big £10K they can be bought for £10 each but it is hard to see why anyone would want to do this when they could deposit the £10, get 2 free tickets and then be able to play the £10 (plus any associated bonus) elsewhere on site!
The Dragonfish network sites also continue to run the 888 big link bingo rooms. The 90 ball room runs every evening under the name 90s Extreme with all tickets priced at 5p. The first game every evening has a fixed jackpot of £1000 and tickets can be bought earlier in the day. The 75 ball room opens at 4pm and is called Big Fat 10.
Dragonfish sites do not normally have any penny bingo apart from Late Night Show once a day. This 90 ball room is for night owls only as the game runs at quarter to one in the morning UK time. Prebuy is not available until 15 minutes before the game starts and is restricted to 75 players all of whom must buy 96 tickets (at 1p each). The game has cash prizes of £50 for FH, £30 for 2L and £20 for 1L.
The network’s Christmas promotion is £50K Cash Stash and this is instead of the Xmas Sleigh games run in previous years. The 75 ball fixed jackpot games run at 15 minutes past the hour, 24/7 for the whole of December, with £100 jackpots from 8.15pm – 11.15pm and £50 jackpots the rest of the time; cards are 10p. Running in conjunction with this promotion there is a leaderboard; players score points by getting wins in the Cash Stash games and the top 5 win cash prizes of £200 – £3000. Another festive game, £2017 Midnight Madness, takes place on New Year’s Eve; this 75 ball game has a prize of £2017, a card price of £1 and an interesting proviso in the terms and conditions about how the prize will be split if there is more than one winner (it’s according to the number of tickets they bought in the first place).
Dragonfish network sites love to dish out slots bonuses and/or free spins but be aware that as of June this year the network imposes a cap on what can be cashed out from these even after the wagering requirement has been completed. Any player lucky enough to scoop a progressive jackpot will still be able to collect the whole lot, but apart from that the cap will be the value of the original bonus plus £400 – so (for example) if you were playing with a £50 slots bonus the most you would be able to collect as cash after completing the playthroughs would be £450.
8 Ball Games run a sizeable portfolio of Dragonfish powered bingo sites including Bingo Irish, We Want Bingo, Glitter Bingo and the more recent launches Pet Shop Bingo and Brown Cow Bingo At first these only had the network promotions, but now they also have a number of non network rooms and promotions. Some of these, such as the weekly prize draw at We Want Bingo, are exclusive to just one site and others, such as the Reveal Room that runs on Thursday evenings with mystery codes, a mystery jackpot and a mystery prize draw are available at multiple sites on the mini network. There’s also an exclusive VIP loyalty scheme which adds various enhancements to the network scheme (including reload bonuses and reduced wagering requirements). Several new non network rooms are now available at selected times, some requiring a recent deposit and some open to all. One important difference between 8 Ball sites and other Dragonfish network sites is that many of the 8 Ball sites have a no deposit offer; at some sites this is a set amount and at others it is a mystery bonus that is guaranteed to be at least £5 but could be much more. Christmas Club is the latest exclusive promotion from 8 Ball; it is a weekly prize draw promotion running on Sundays until 18th December and to enter players should deposit £10 or more with the deposit bonus code of the week. The 8 Ball sites didn’t run the November Seasonal Gifts network promotion but they do have the £50K Cash Stash and £2017 games.
Quickthink Media/Bingoport Dragonfish Bingo Sites
This group of sites includes Candy Shop Bingo, Lucky Charm Bingo, Bubble Bonus Bingo, Hippo Bingo, Butterfly Bingo, Nutty Bingo, and Live Bingo and has two shared 90 ball bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds (afternoons) and Big Night In (evenings). Many of the sites also have the Wacky Wings room (originally a Butterfly Bingo exclusive) which runs a different promotion every evening. From time to time they have shared promotions such as slots tournaments and special bingo games, but they are missing quite a few of the Dragonfish network promotions and bingo rooms (for instance, they do not have the million pound sliding jackpot games or the Weekender room). They do still operate with the network loyalty scheme though and have the network wagering requirements (but lack the screen showing wagering progress). The sites each have their own regular promotions as well. Bubble Bonus Bingo has the Bubble Pop Bonus Game which can be played following a deposit of £10 or more, Butterfly Bingo has a free monthly prize draw for funded players, Lucky Charm Bingo has the Charm Chaser bonus game which comes in both desktop and mobile versions and Candy Shop Bingo has three bonus games – Candy Collector, Bonus Spinner and Betty’s Candy Cards – all of which can be played using the Candy Coins given out with every deposit.
The Jingle Bingo game is scheduled for 9th December. It is a 75 ball game with £500 of assorted shopping vouchers to be won plus £100 for 1TG and £50 for 2TG. It’s too late to win free tickets for this game now but they can still be bought for 50p each. The room is still looking fairly quiet a few hours before the game with only 126 players.
Iceland Bingo used to be part of the group and run all the group promotions but after the sale of the rest of the sites to one buyer and Iceland to another it now has separate promotions. It still has Pennies Make Pounds and Big Night In but also has the exclusive Freezer room, a monthly prize draw room on 15th and a special bingo game, Fluffy Favourites Bingo, that plays at 8pm Monday – Friday where all the prizes are bonus spins on Fluffy Too (100 for FH, 30 for 2L and 20 for 1L); cards for this are 20p and one free card is given out for each £20 played on any of the three Fluffy slots. Iceland have also now introduced Bingo Spins, which is basically the same as Fluffy Favourites Bingo but an hour later at 9pm and with free spins on Twinkle instead of the Fluffy slots. £5000 Everyone Wins Christmas is a 90 ball game scheduled for Christmas Day; tickets are on sale now for 50p and the prizes are £1750 for FH, £1000 for 2L, £500 for 1L and £1750 to be shared equally between the tickets held by non winning players. Players who buy 5 or more tickets to this game between 8th and 11th December will be entered into a prize draw with 10 prizes of £10 Iceland Gift Vouchers.
The Joy of Bingo network includes 888Ladies, Wink Bingo, Red Bus Bingo, and Posh Bingo (as well as a few others). They share a VIP scheme and some games, mostly the free bingo, which unusually these days includes some that is open to all players regardless of whether they have made a recent deposit. The best of the free games is on Sunday evenings and only available on mobile and tablet; it used to be networked across all the sites as a 75 ball game with a £250 prize but it seems that 888 Ladies now has its own 90 ball version (with a £200 prize fund). 888 Ladies and Wink have a recently introduced jackpot game called Payday £3000 which is played on the final Friday of each month; it is a 90 ball game with 10p tickets and prizes down to 2TG. These sites all also have the 888 big link 90 ball room under the name Stack Up and the big link 75 ball room under the name Unwind (at some of the sites these are only available on mobile).
These sites have a selection of jackpot games for the festive season At 888 Ladies there are £500 jackpot games every Sunday in December plus a £1000 game on 15th, £1500 on 21st and £2000 on 24th December. Wink has a £1000 game on 1st December, £1500 on 10th, £2500 on 16th, £5000 on 24th and a BOGOF from 10am – 10pm on Boxing Day. On Christmas Day at 4pm there is a shared 90 ball £10,000 sliding jackpot game; the guaranteed prize fund for this is £3000 and tickets are on sale from 1st December at 50p each. The other sites share Jackpotland, which consists of a £250 game playing every Thursday at 6pm until 15th December (5p card price) and bigger games on 24th and 25th December.
The biggest game coming up runs across the entire network on New Year’s Day at 8pm, and tickets for this 90 ball game are already on sale for 75p each. FH wins £12K, 2L wins £8K, 1L wins £5K and there’s a £6K split for 1TG and £4K split for 2TG.
To claim a redeposit bonus at Joy of Bingo sites a code has to be entered and these are usually sent out via email each weekend. Until the end of the month players at Wink get a spin on the Wink Wheel every time they deposit using code SPIN; this awards free spins or bonus.
Bingo Hollywood is Dragonfish powered and on a network of its own. They usually run two exclusive bingo promotions, a pattern bingo event (this always involves trying to win pattern bingo games in the Red Carpet Room at 45 past the hour and may also involve other rooms at other times) and a chat tourney with millions of loyalty points up for grabs. The pattern bingo promotion has been taking a break for the last couple of months and instead there is Twelve Days of Christmas. The aim is to win a full house in 90 ball bingo on the number of a day of Christmas (we think this means 1 – 12 but better check with the chat host when you start to play), and additionally this has to be in a hosted room with the player in the chat from the start of the game. After winning the player must say CHRISTMAS to secure a prize which then has to be claimed via email. Those who enjoy pattern bingo are still catered for, however, as the Paparazzi Points promotion from October is being run again during November; players score points when they bingo on the firework pattern. 1st on the leaderboard at the end of the month wins £100 bingo bonus, 2nd wins £75 bingo bonus and 3rd wins £50 bingo bonus. Blockbuster Bingo is Bingo Hollywood’s big monthly game. It is a 75 ball sliding jackpot game with a card price of 50p and a headline prize of £10K which will be won if the coverall is completed in an extremely unlikely 32 or fewer calls. The baseline prize of £2000 is for 51 or more calls. The chat tourney is called Turkey and Tinsel Team Event and follows the usual rules, running on weekend evenings from 7pm -11pm in a different featured room each weekend evening (alternating between 75 and 90 ball); every team wins loyalty points with the lion’s share going to the top team, but to win the full prize you have to play 100 games or more over the weekend. Play 50-99 and you get half the prize, play 49 or fewer and you just get 1000 loyalty points. Slots tourneys also run regularly and December’s follows the recently used format and runs for the whole month, with 1 leaderboard point awarded for each £10 played on the Sugar Train Xmas slot. There are real cash prizes of £50 – £250 for 1st – 10th and casino bonus prizes of £50 – £250 for 11th – 25th, and all 25 winners also get 25 free spins on Sugar Train Xmas (although the festive season will be over by then!)
The 888 big link 90 ball games have an extra feature at Bingo Hollywood. Players who win FH, also win 1000 loyalty points for each gold ball (73 – 90) that is called before 1L is completed in the next game. At the end of the evening the player who wins the most loyalty points in this way wins an extra £20 bingo bonus.
There’s also a prize for the person with the most wins for the month in the High 5 bingo room – they get £55 bingo bonus, £55 casino bonus and 55 free spins on Fluffy Too.
Foxy Bingo has the latest version of the Dragonfish platform and in terms of the sheer number of bingo rooms and promotions to choose from, the cheeky fox is very hard to beat. Thank Foxy It’s Friday continues to run every week. The highlight of this promotion is the hourly guaranteed Jackpot O’Clock games in the evening (these have a card price of 50p and guaranteed jackpots of £1500 or £5000) but there are further enhanced jackpots, bingo bonus points and sometimes a deposit bonus offer up for grabs as well. For slots lovers there’s Casino Disco, a deposit offer with slots bonus & free spins some variant of which runs every Friday evening.
£10,000 Slotto Grotto is Foxy’s Christmas slots tourney; it runs from 5th – 11th December and after opting in players get one leaderboard point for each £20 played on the four festive slots (I Love Christmas and the Christmas editions of Sugar Train, Flowers and Fruit Shop). The top 25 win cash prizes of £100 – £1500 and the next 75 win casino bonus prizes of £40 or £60.
Foxy’s big festive game is called New Year Popper; it is a 90 ball game playing at 7pm on New Year’s Day and the prizes are £6000 for FH, £4000 for 2L, £2000 for 1L, £3000 to be shared by 1TG and £2000 to be shared by 2TG. Cards cost £1 (cash only) and there is a maximum of 96 per player.
Foxy’s Christmas Party runs every Thursday for the rest of the month; to be invited to this guaranteed jackpot room players have to complete £20 of cash play on bingo in the preceding 7 days. Once in the room, tickets cost 10p and the prize fund for each of the 90 ball games (which play every 10 minutes from 7pm – 8pm) is £100.
Although Foxy has recently stopped offering automatic reload bonuses, there are still plenty of opportunities to get bonuses (and win free spins) via their Facebook community (this is a closed group, not a page). Foxy are also currently giving out free spins on Mondays when players play £10 or more on the slots of the week.
Microgaming is the home of Immortal Romance Bingo, a bingo variant themed on the hugely popular slot. The game has recently been souped up to make it easier to collect the 20 medallions needed to spin the jackpot wheel.
Dream Bingo leads the other Microgaming bingo sites in terms of exclusive promotions, although some are shared with sister sites Betway Bingo and Bingo on the Box . Dream also have a choice of welcome offers – instead of a purely bonus based offer you can choose one with a slightly smaller bonus but with the addition of free spins on one of the wonderful Microgaming slots.
The other Microgaming sites rarely change their bingo promotions, but Butlers Bingo – which is well worth a visit right now just to see the Butler dressed up as Elf on the Shelf – and its sister sites which include the Irish charity bingo site Rehab Bingo do have two exclusive bingo rooms. The Broadway Room is a standalone 90 ball room open in the afternoons and evenings offering a variety of jackpots and in the Spinner Room (open in the evenings), you can win free spins on specified slots; these rooms are clearly popular with players as earlier in the year Butlers won an award for best Microgaming bingo site that was voted on by players. Free spins are also frequently part of the sign-up offer (and unlike their other promotions this is changed semi regularly) and if this is of interest take a look at our free spins section to see what is currently on offer. Over the last few months some extra jackpots have been added in the Broadway room, but these are multi-level room jackpots rather than guaranteed prizes for specific games.
The only other Microgaming options are 32 Red and 188 Bet and neither of these ever seem to have any exclusive promotions (although 32 Red does have a no deposit bonus, the last remaining Microgaming site to do so).
Two UK bingo sites run on this software. The USP of Bingocams is the integration of webcams into the software allowing players to see each other and the chat host – although it is perfectly possible to play without a cam and many do. Live Win Moments are cam footage of someone winning FH and there are occasionally prizes in connection with these. Bright Bingo is the same platform but with the cams given little prominence.
At Bingocams the Big Bang progressive jackpot was finally won in September, after taking over a year to climb to around the £22,000 mark, and was then won again only a week later at little more than its seed value of £5000! It is now at around £7200. Win by getting a 90 ball full house in 32 or fewer balls, or a 75 ball coverall in 42 or fewer balls in any of their rooms, any time; anyone who has made a deposit in the last 3 months is eligible. There are also a number of room jackpots; these are much smaller and easier to win, dropping at 40 balls in 90 ball and 48 balls in 75 ball.
Christmas at Cams started on 1st December and includes a number of different promotions. The Big Present Event runs from 1st – 24th December and to gain entry to the free Big Present Room on Christmas Day for 10 x £100 cash jackpots, players must play £2 each and every day during the promo period and make at least one deposit between 10th and 24th. Unusually for this type of promotion (and understandably because many players will be busy with family on Christmas Day) the Big Present Room is going to have a prebuy facility. There’s also plenty going on for players who can’t manage the £2 every day. Rudolph’s Rollover runs for 2 hours from 6pm every evening; the room jackpot is £1000 and it goes up by £100 each evening that it is not won, up to a maximum value of £5000. Special jackpots followed by afterparties play on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve – and in the Christmas Eve room, the three winners of the Christmas Wish competition will be announced; to enter this players need to have their wish displayed in their avatar from 1st – 23rd December. The festive season at Bingocams would not be complete without a festive Live Win Moment competition and this runs from 1st – 22nd, with prizes awarded on 23rd.
Bright Bingo also has a progressive jackpot, the Money Mountain and a couple of months ago it was won (at over £20,000) for only the second time ever. It is now back over £9000 and steadily climbing. Win by getting a full house in a 90 ball room in 32 balls or fewer, or by getting a coverall in a 75 ball room in 42 balls or fewer (and as at the sister site, you need to have made a deposit in the last 3 months to be eligible).
Bright Bingo’s current big promotion is Win A Wage and this runs in October, November and December offering the opportunity each month to win £1000 cash. The free £1000 jackpot game plays on the last day of each month and access is limited to the top 100 on the month’s leaderboard; players score leaderboard points at the rate of 1 point per £10 played on bingo, 2 points per £10 played on casino games and 3 points per £10 deposited. There’s also an overall leaderboard for the entire 3 month event with cash prizes (£1000, £500 and £250) for the top 3 and 50 mystery free spins plus 50 Gold Coins (from the loyalty scheme) for 4th – 10th.
Bright Bingo also has a selection of festive promotions including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day jackpots, a free game every Sunday for anyone who has deposited in the last year, and Festive Friday, which offers a 50% deposit bonus code and awards 10 free spins on Deck The Halls to every FH winner in the Santa’s Spins room.
There are only a handful of Gamesys sites left now following the departure of Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo to Virtue Fusion. They have Super Links network games with £20K guaranteed prizes every day and are very good sites to play at if you enjoy prize draw promotions but are no more than a modest spender, because Gamesys rules on prize draws almost always allow only one entry per player per day. Winning Headlines and Fun In The Sun (which were the Sun’s two exclusive slots) have been reskinned and are now being served up at other Gamesys sites as Paper Wins and Fun On The Seafront. Heart also have an enhanced welcome offer and a new free game called Daily Paper and no doubt all this will be of interest to players from Sun and Fabulous who would like to retain the opportunity to play the ex-Sun exclusives and other Gamesys slots or prefer the Gamesys bingo platform to Virtue Fusion.
Virgin Games recently had a complete makeover and is now much more user friendly than it used to be. The focus is definitely on slots rather than bingo at this site, with most of the promotions being to do with slots or poker. The V10 promotion started on 1st December; the top prize is a luxury trip to Las Vegas for 4 including £6000 spending money! To unlock this prize requires a massive community effort, however – players collect draw entries and score community points by visiting the site every day and playing a minimum of 1p. Playing on 2 or 3 days in the month earns 2 draw entries and 4 community points – but playing on 30 or all 31 days in the month earns the maximum of 110 entries and 256 community points. Community points fill the community meter and there are 10 levels for it to rise through, each of which unlocks a community award (e.g. extra V* points) or a prize draw. For all 6 prize draws including the one with the Las Vegas trip prize to take place, all 10 levels have to be completed. The Chat-10 is an accompanying chat promotion that runs for four hours each day and every time the V10 goes up a level, so do the chat game prizes. A 10% cashback on losses promotion (up to £15) runs 9th – 12th December on the new slot Zen Garden (minimum spend £30).
Heart Bingo have Sugar Rush; this regular promotion (which started back in October) awards a percentage boost to every prize in the Candy Club room between 11am and noon; the percentage boost is different every day (and announced each day on the promo page) but always between 10% and 100%. Heart’s Advent Calendar is now on site until 25th December; players get one entry into the Grand Prize Draw (which has 5 x £5000 prizes) for each window they open. Opening a window also reveals the prize of the day, and the minimum spend required to enter the two daily draws (one cash, and one for the prize of the day). Heart also have some Christmas themed chat promotions.
Jackpot Joy also have a range of exclusive promotions including a monthly £13,000 bingo game and a chat promotion, Hunt For A Holiday, which runs for an hour a day (announced 5 minutes in advance) until 23rd December. To be eligible for selection players must be in the Sapphire Room with tickets to the current or next game. Four players are selected to choose a grid square and most conceal prizes ranging from £5 – £50 cash, 200 – 1000 loyalty points up to the grand prizes of a £750 holiday voucher (two of these will be won during the promo period). Four more holidays are up for grabs in Tiki’s Tropical Paradise, a prize draw promotion that runs until Christmas Eve.
The big news at Jumpman powered sites is the arrival at the end of last month of a lot of new slots – not just the Pariplay slots (Magical Forest etc) that we were expecting, but also a selection of Net Ent slots including Starburst, Guns N Roses and Koi Princess.
15 Network is the original Jumpman powered bingo network and usually has one main network promotion. For the past few months this has been a weekly prize draw. December’s starts on 5th December and offers 10 x £75 cash prizes each week; players collect one entry for each £20 of play on Very Merry Christmas, Xmas Cash or Sugar Train Xmas.
Tuesday Treasure is a free bingo game that will play across the network on the second Tuesday of every month. All funded players can claim up to 96 free tickets, and the prize split is FH £400, 2L £200, 1L £160 and £80 each for 1TG, 2TG and 3TG. Assuming that everyone who claims tickets has claimed the full 96 (and why wouldn’t they) the next game (which takes place on 13th December) is well on the way to having over 200,000 tickets in play.
The network used to eschew traditional wagering requirements in favour of requiring a certain amount of real money to be played through before any withdrawals were allowed (£30 and some sites and £100 at others). Any remaining bonus was still lost when you withdrew. That has now changed and there is a wagering requirement of 4x on bingo bonus and 40x on the newly introduced instant games bonus. This works in the usual way with winnings added to the bonus bankroll and transferred to cash when the wagering requirement is completed; any withdrawal before then (even of cash winnings from the original deposit) and you lose bonus and winnings. If you receive a fresh bonus before using all of the old one, the wagering requirement is recalculated on the whole lot.
Film Bingo usually runs an exclusive leaderboard style event every month, but for December they are doing something a bit different. Christmas Cheer is a series of daily draws running from 14th – 25th December, with prizes alternating between a £10 Love2Shop voucher and £20 bingo bonus. Each day, the draw takes place between all players who won bingo on the number or pattern of the day e.g. Xmas Tree pattern on 21st December and number 24 on 24th December. If no players qualify for the day’s draw (quite possible even for the patterns, as the games with the correct pattern could be won by players elsewhere on the network) the draw will instead take place between all players who deposited £20 or more that day.
Charming Bingo launched at the start of the year and ever since they have been running a prize draw promotion with a 7 night holiday in Greece for 2 to be won. One ticket is given out for each £10 played on bingo and the prize draw will take place on 31st December 2016, so there is still time to collect entries.
Another recently launched site is Bingo Minions, and this month they have a leaderboard race with Christmas gift sets for the top 5; players score one point for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and each £20 played on slots.
Rocket Bingo is the only Jumpman site to offer free bingo games without the requirement to have made a deposit in the preceding 7 days. There are a number of games with £1 prizes every day, a £10 game two evenings a week plus an hour of £10 free bingo games on Friday evenings.
Clucky Bingo have a Christmas prize draw which can be entered without depositing or playing. The promotion (which runs until 12th December) is in two parts. Part one is a prize draw for a £100 Amazon voucher and to enter players just need to register at Clucky, or login if they already have an account there. Part two is a prize draw for another £100 Amazon voucher, plus a £50 Amazon voucher for a runner up, and players get one entry to this draw for each £10 deposited and each £10 played during the promo period.
The last few months have seen a change of ownership of the two 15 Network sites that used to have the biggest array of exclusive promotions and in both cases most of them have abruptly stopped running. Lollipop Bingo has a leaderboard race for December with a £50 Tesco voucher for the winner; players score one point for each £10 played on bingo and for each £20 played on slots, until 19th December. In the case of Tidy Bingo the promotions page hasn’t been updated since the end of July but they do appear to be giving out extra bonuses via their Facebook page and it seems their exclusive bingo room will be reopening soon.
Last year, a new network launched that also uses the Jumpman Gaming software – the Wheel of Slots network. As its name suggests this is aimed at those who like to play slots as well as bingo. There are NO bingo bonuses on offer at Wheel of Slots, just free spins on the likes of Fluffy Favourites, the best welcome offer being a guaranteed 50 free spins on Fluffy Favourites at Viking Bingo. Most of the Wheel of Slots sites run a regular Slot of the Week promotion; this consists of a prize draw with one entry given out per £20 played on the specified slot which is notified by email. The prize is a spin of the Winners Wheel (not the same as the regular wheel) which gives out 20 – 500 spins on Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Isis or Shaman’s Dream.
The Live Bingo Network sites all have the same promotions and these are hardly ever changed. They include jackpot games with free tickets for depositors, a weekly/monthly slots tournament with casino bonus prizes for the top spenders and so on. There’s also a daily depositors’ raffle with casino bonus prizes; one ticket to the raffle is awarded for each £10 deposited and there are 10 prizes of £50 casino bonus each day. Cozy’s sliding jackpot game Money Multiplier is a 90 ball game which runs on Saturday nights with a ticket price of 10p, for depositing players only. The headline prize is £5000 but for this to be won bingo would have to be called in a staggeringly unlikely 28 calls or fewer. £500 is the prize for 45 calls or more. Although this game still appears on the promotions page it seems to have vanished from the bingo lobby.
Cozy also has the Best Bingo Network including some relatively new sites such as Bingo Date and Sailor Bingo but apart from a slightly different welcome offer all the promotions and bingo rooms are an exact copy of those Live Bingo Network. Indeed, player numbers and prize amounts visible at sites on the two networks suggests that they now also have shared liquidity – which would mean they they are in effect one and the same network.
The 45 Days of Christmas giveaway is currently running across both networks at some sites only, promising £100,000 worth of gifts and jackpots and over a million bonuses. There’s a £500 game every evening with a 10p card price, and bigger games on Thanksgiving (£3000), Black Friday (£2000), Boxing Day (£5000) and New Year’s Eve (£10,000). Daily raffles take place with 10 x £50 cash and 50 x £25 bingo bonus to be won; players get 1 entry for logging in, 5 entries for wagering and 10 for depositing (minimum amounts not specified). There’s also a daily login bonus (but anything won from this has a 48 hour expiry), a pattern bingo promotion with £10 bingo bonus to be collected after winning on the letters S T A R, and a leaderboard with tangible prizes. The top 3 depositors of the day win a £50 Amazon voucher each, the top three depositors of the week win an iPhone each and the top three depositors for the whole promo period win an iMac each. There’s also weekly (£250 Amazon voucher) and overall (£1000 Amazon voucher) prizes for the three biggest spenders.
Free bingo at Cozy is 50 ball only and in order to be allocated 10 free tickets you have to be in the bingo room just before the game plays – but if you are playing with a no deposit bonus you won’t be allowed to claim any tickets as it is only for funded players. Line and FH prizes are £1 and extra tickets can be bought for 1p each.
One advantage of Cozy sites is that almost all of them offer a no deposit bonus, but do be aware that following changes that were made a few months back it is NOT possible to win withdrawable cash with this (not directly anyway). Winnings from a no deposit bonus can only be carried forward as casino cash (a bit of a misnomer as it is not actually cash at all but a type of bonus that can be used on bingo or slots), capped at 100% of the value of the first deposit or £50 (whichever is smaller) and with a wagering requirement of 4x on bingo or 10x on slots – and this can only be done if the player accepts a bonus on their first deposit (thereby incurring a further wagering requirement).
Alternatively there is Game Village which runs on Cozy software but is on its own Lucky Duck Network, so all the offers and jackpot games are exclusive to them and to a couple of other sites including the recently launched Becky’s Bingo. They have a bewildering array of promotions, most of which change monthly, but to participate in the majority of them you need to have homeowner status which requires you to make three initial deposits and then deposit at least once every 30 days. Another potential pitfall is that for most of their promotions the prize will not be awarded automatically and you must contact them to claim it (assuming you even notice that you qualify). The Charity Event is back for December, with all ticket monies going to Diabetes UK, but as it is one 50 minute stint of penny bingo in mid afternoon it is unlikely to amount to much; there is no information on site about charity donations in previous months. There is, however, one easy to understand promotion whereby players can get free tickets for a £2017 New Year’s Eve game by making deposits (1 ticket for every £15 deposited in December up to 24th).
Cozy sites launched in the last few months include Now Bingo, Swanky Bingo , Sailor Bingo and Lucky Diner Bingo, which has something special to offer – an exclusive bingo room with live chat host that they are broadcasting on a video stream! They also have a 24 hour jukebox including live radio shows. The live rooms are open to everyone who has deposited £10 or more in the preceding 7 days. Recent launch Igloo Bingo also has extras including a free bingo game every evening with a £10 prize fund.
Daub Alderney have three bingo sites which combine shared rooms and promotions with exclusive ones.
Kitty Bingo was the first site in the group to launch.
Lucky Pants Bingo generally runs promotions that are more geared towards slots – such as the Spin O Clock regular Tuesday promotion which gives out free spins in lieu of a deposit bonus. It is also possible to choose a slots bonus offer as a welcome offer (on your first three deposits) if that’s what you prefer. Lucky Pants now has NetEnt slots and the welcome offer has been tweaked so that the free spins are on these – Spinata Grande for the 20 free spins on registration and Spinata Grande, Koi Princess, Gonzo’s Quest or Starburst for the 100 free spins that are given out over the 5 days susbsequent to making a first deposit.
Bingo Extra‘s USP is the exclusive Extra Room where several different varieties of bingo are played and extra features and prizes are the order of the day.
The regular Win-Win game runs on Wednesday evenings at 10pm. Cards for this 90 ball game cost 20p (cash only) and there is a £200 guaranteed prize fund. If you don’t win, you receive your stake money back as bingo bonus.
Weekly Shop plays every Tuesday night at 10pm and the prize in this 75 ball game, which has a card price of 5p, is a very useful £100 shopping vouchers.
Fiver Frenzy (known as the Playground at Bingo Extra) is a new 1p bingo game that plays twice a day at 1pm and 10pm; it is a 5 line game with £5 fixed prize per line.
On the last Friday of every month, the £10K Slider plays. This is a 5 line game with a card price of 20p and should the winner bingo in 45 or fewer calls they will take home the whole £10,000 jackpot (this is a considerably higher number of calls than the vast majority of sliding jackpot games at other sites – while it is still pretty unlikely that someone will actually win, it is a lot less unlikely than in similar games elsewhere). It starts to slide after that and when the ball count reaches 53 it reverts right back down to the guaranteed £400. Line prizes are £150 each and there is a card maximum of 72.
All three sites usually run a promotion each week (usually but not always differing from each other in name only) where depositing or playing Monday to Thursday generates a reward on the Friday. At the moment this has been replaced by £50K in a Sleigh, a prize draw promotion running on a weekly cycle until 23rd December with £50,000 worth of prizes to be won altogether. Each week’s promo period runs from Friday to Thursday and players have to opt in each time; they then get one draw entry for each £5 deposited, each £20 played on bingo and each £50 played on slots. The next draw takes place on 9th December and the top prize is a straightforward £2000 cash. There are hundreds of runner up prizes of £5 – £1000 cash, £2 – £50 bingo bonus (4 x wagering) or 10 free spins (max win £5, 7 day expiry). The draw on 9th also has special prizes of M&S hampers (worth £50 each) for 20 randomly selected players who have scored at least one point during the week.
Maria used to be on Virtue Fusion but back in July 2015 they migrated to the brand new bingo platform from Relax Gaming and now the whole site has been given a radical makeover. Maria is basically a casino with bingo (quite a lot of bingo – there are 4 open access bingo rooms plus one daily rewards room which is more than you’ll find at many plain old bingo sites) and where it really excels is the slots. They have one of the best selections available at any bingo site and it can all be played with the same wallet; new slots are added very often and there are frequent cashback or free spins offer. The welcome offers are also geared towards slots and include free spins; although the welcome bonus can be used on bingo the wagering requirements are more in line with what one would expect from a slots bonus. When Maria say cashback, they mean CASH (zero wagering requirements) and what they give you a percentage of CASH WAGERS rather than a percentage of losses. Slots tournaments at Maria also run frequently (at least every single day from 5pm – 8pm) and unlike the vast majority of slots tournaments you will find at other bingo sites, the winner is normally the player with the biggest net win in 20 consecutive spins rather than the biggest spender.
Maria is networked with Bingo.com, which has very much the same selection of slots as well as the same bingo rooms but gives the bingo a bit more prominence and sometimes runs bingo promotions (such as bingo tournaments) that aren’t on at Maria. Bingo.com won the Fair Play Award at the recent bingo industry awards and this was judged by a panel of independent experts so you can be sure of very high standards of social responsibility and fair play there.
A recent innovation at the Relax bingo sites is Roll On Bingo (hitherto only found on the Virtue Fusion platform) and they also have a selection of regular bingo promotions including 14 days of free bingo for newbies, jackpot games and tournaments. A separate bingo bonusing system (with a 4x wagering requirement) comes into play quickly – the bingo vouchers are given out as rewards on spins of the loyalty wheel and unlike bingo bonuses at many other sites, bingo vouchers are used before and not after any cash the player may have in their account.
Bingo.com have an Advent Calendar on site from 1st – 24th December. Just by opening the window, players gain entry to the day’s cash draw with the chance of winning £20. Behind each window is a different offer, and participation in the offer awards a free spin on Net Ent’s new Secrets of Christmas slot: the free spins are saved up and given out on 12th and 24th December.
Santa’s £50,000 Cash Drop runs for the whole month. Each day, one of the bingo rooms is designated as the cash drop room (identifiable in the lobby by the winter themed background) and cash drops will be made during the day (10am – 10pm) to random players who have played in three consecutive bingo games including the one during which the drop is made. Over 3000 drops will be made in all, including 5 drops of £1000 cash each. These are fun to watch; Santa flies in his sleigh across the bingo room and throws out a parcel, bearing a tag with the player’s name and the amount on it. A timer counts down the minutes and seconds to the next drop making it easy for players to time their card purchases in order to qualify.
Bingo’s Christmas Tournament runs from 4th – 11th December in all 7 bingo rooms; players collect 1 point for 1 line, 2 points for 2 lines, 3 points for 3 lines, 4 points for 4 lines and 5 points for full house. The top 4 players win cash prizes worth £1000 in total.
Bingo.com also have a non network Christmas themed bingo room, the Pinnacle, which is open from 5pm – 6pm every day in December with over £500 guaranteed.
There are plenty of slots promotions running as well, including various slots tournaments.
