January’s online bingo promotions are frequently themed on January sales, with the emphasis on value, and this year is no exception.
Whatever is in store this month, it will be a long time – if ever – until we see another promotion in the bingo world as good for the players as the million pound Virtue Fusion / Playtech game that was run last month. Two lucky players (one of whom was at Mecca Bingo) walked away from that with a quarter of a million pounds each – a fuller report is has been posted in Can You Really Win A Million Pounds On Bingo? but we are still missing some of the information and that’s where you can help – if you were lucky enough to win a share of the £100,000 for 1TG and 2TG tickets, we’d love to know how much each ticket won!
The Virtue Fusion / Playtech network is all about big money! Bingo Linx games play several times every day across the entire network, typically with prizes of £1000+, and at certain times of the month the prizes get even bigger including a total of £250,000 in prizes over the final weekend of every month. The downside of such huge prizes is that so many players are involved that the chance an individual player has of winning is pretty small. The pre-buy system on Playtech powered sites can make buying tickets for the big games slightly confusing as you need to know which room and which time to order the tickets for, instead of just going to a separate room or tab from the lobby as you would at an 888 powered site.
January’s network promotion runs in the speed bingo room Monday – Friday, 2nd – 27th. The guaranteed prize games have a ticket price of 5p and the prize fund varies according to the time of day. There’s also a value bingo promotion – cut price tickets (up to 50% off) in the network 90 ball room on weekday evenings (Monday – Thursday, 6pm until midnight).
Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo migrated from Gamesys to the Virtue Fusion platform happened back in August but these sites do NOT look and play like regular Virtue Fusion sites. Instead the bingo rooms and lobby look very much as they did prior to the move, with the Virtue Fusion software running quietly in the background; this brings Cash Cubes on to the desktop without the new style (HTML5) Virtue Fusion bingo lobby – a welcome development for the many players who dislike the new lobby. Fabulous has the better welcome offer of the two sites, but fewer ongoing promotions.
The Sun Bingo Cruise 2017 prize draw promotion is on site from 9th – 29th January. 5 pairs of cruise tickets are up for grabs each week, and to enter the draw players need to opt in with code CRUISE then play £10 on bingo or £30 on slots (there is no limit to the number of entries per player per week). The cruise itself takes place in the Mediterranean from 6th to 13th May. Sun also have an exclusive free bingo promotion for January; the free games run on and off from 10am – 10pm in the Headline Club room and 10p games and link games run the rest of the time.
Sun’s live showbiz quiz extravaganza, Having A Ball, is back every Friday evening until 3rd February, from 7pm – 8pm; the show is live streamed into the desktop version of the Candy Club bingo room. During the show three codes are released via chat games, each enabling up to 500 players to grab a £1 bingo bonus. There’s also a puzzle to be solved over the course of the four weeks to get the entry code for a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to the aforementioned Sun Bingo Cruise.
For slots players, Sun have a free spins promotion every weekend in January; to qualify for 10 free spins on Monday players need to complete £30 of cash play on the slot of the week Friday-Sunday. The free spins have a 30x wagering requirement and this all has to be done on the slot of the week. The featured slots are Playtech casino slots which are not normally found at VF bingo sites – this week (20th – 22nd) it is the jackpot slot Age of the Gods: Goddess of Wisdom.
Fabulous Bingo are giving all their players a £5 bingo bonus; to claim it just register an account with them (or log in if you already have one) between 13th and 31st January. The bonus has a 3 x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry. Also at Fabulous, All Your Faves runs for the rest of the month; deposit and play £20 on the slot of the week to receive a £5 bonus for that slot (7 day expiry and 30x wagering requirement). Until 19th the game is Rainbow Riches, until 26th Bouncy Balls and until 2nd February Clover Rollover; in each case opt in with code FAVES.
Bgo have some exclusive BGO World bingo rooms and an exclusive free spins offer for new players, plus an excellent selection of slots and a very nice slots/casino welcome offer that can be taken as an alternative to bingo bonus. The Big Competition runs every month; to qualify for the three special games on the last Friday of the month (27th January) players need to deposit £20 and play £10 on bingo and £10 on mini games in the exclusive Fairy Delight bingo room. These games have shopping voucher prizes on top of the regular prize pot. Most weekends there is an extra bonus on offer (usually play £10 get £10, with a 2x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) and the code is announced on the Friday. Points Make Prizes runs until 29th January, from 10am – 11am in Fairy Delight and 9pm – 10pm in Golden Galaxy. Players score 1 point for 1L, 2 points for 2L, 3 points for FH and 5 points for winning all three prizes in one game. The following Monday, players who scored 50 or more points during the week are awarded loyalty points (500 – 1500 depending on score) but they also have to have made a deposit during the week to qualify. Bgo also have a couple of sitewide promotions for January. The £2000 Holiday Giveaway is a prize draw promotion running on a weekly cycle until January 28th; the qualifying period is Sunday – Saturday and the draw for the £2000 holiday voucher takes place the following Monday; to participate deposit £10 using code HOLIDAY and get one entry for each £10 of cash play on any game. The 10,000 Free Spin Giveaway is a prize draw promotion which awards 25 free spins each to 100 players each week (Friday – Thursday, until 2nd Feburary); players get one entry per £10 of cash play on Wonder Woman Gold, Dolphin Gold, Diamond Wild and Cleopatra Plus. Winnings from the free spins (which can be used on Starburst or one of three other slots only) are paid as a slots bonus with a 35x wagering requirement and 3 day expiry,
At Bet365 there is almost always a big exclusive going on, and for January this is New Year New You. Usually with bet365 promotions, a big prize is given away in a finale game at the end of the month or sometimes at the end of each week – but this time, there is a prize to be won every single day at 9pm in the Resolutions room. Players can acquire up to 10 tickets for each of these games, by pre-buying for £1 or winning line, FH or Roll On prizes in the “I Will” games the previous day. On 29th January there is a grand finale with 10 games played; tickets still cost £1 each but wins in the “I Will” games on 28th January award tickets for all 10 games not just one. The prizes include Fitbits, shopping and experience vouchers.
Bet365 also have Ready Steady Go, which is a regular double your winnings promotion that runs every other week (2nd – 8th, 16th – 22nd and 30th January – 5th February). To qualify players need to opt in (this only needs to be done once) and play in the 6 featured bingo rooms. Any cash wins in these rooms from cash ticket purchases will be doubled up to an extra £10 for play on desktop, another £10 for play on tablet and yet another £10 for play on mobile. The cash has to be withdrawn or played within 7 days.
Another January exclusive at Bet365 is the Penny Slots Prize Draw. Opt in and play the slot of the week Monday – Wednesday to collect tickets for the prize draw on Thursday; each £5 of cash play awards one entry and each week’s draw has a prize pool of £3000 slots bonus (prize values £5 – £100, 20 x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry). For the coming week (9th – 11th) Cash Cubes Slot is the one to play.
Bet365’s exclusive bingo rooms include the Mojo Lounge which runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9pm with all cards at 5p and at least 50 Roll On prizes. FH winners also have the opportunity to choose a Mojo Vault key. If the key they pick opens the vault they win £20 bingo bonus. If no-one manages to open the vault during the evening the amount is incremented by £5 and this continues until someone wins. To get into Mojo Lounge for the week you have to spend £10 cash on bingo over the preceding weekend (or any time up until 30 minutes before the first game). Bet365 now have the new style (HTML5) bingo lobby and rooms, with the option to use the old Flash lobby if preferred. Lastly there is the rolling Bingo Slots Club promotion. Opt in and earn one loyalty point for each £10 played on slots (but do be aware that only slots in the Games section of Bet365 Bingo count, not slots from elsewhere on site) , and at the end of the 2 week period an extra slots bonus (with a 20x wagering requirement) is given out for reaching a certain level of Loyalty Points on a certain number of days – this ranges from £1 for getting 10 Loyalty Points on 2 of the days to a whopping £1000 for getting 2000 Loyalty Points on 10 of the days. This month’s qualifying periods are 9th – 22nd January and 23rd January – 5th February.
Sky Bingo ‘s move to HTML5 a couple of months back brought an exclusive bingo variant, Mystical Bingo. This 50 ball bingo game has a magical woodland theme and has the same single-card mechanic as Cash Cubes (priced at 25p, 50p, £1 or £2); the card has 10 numbers represented by insects. Sky’s new welcome bonus offer is now on site and unusually for a Virtue Fusion site, it includes a no deposit bonus, split between bingo and slots. The Big Bingo Sale runs throughout January and adds extra penny bingo into the schedule in Sky’s exclusive rooms, plus Roll ON, TG and BOGOF games every evening. January Reel Rewards is a series of slots offers including playback on losses and extra bonuses. From 13th – 19th January there is a repeat of the mystery bonus promotion from last month; to qualify for the bingo bonus, which will be at least £5 and has a 2x wagering requirement, players need to opt in with code MYSTERY and rack up £25 of cash play on bingo. Sky also have Share The Love, which is a fresh take on refer-a-friend promotions. To participate players will need to like the Sky Bingo Facebook page and share a winner story from it; 20 players each month will win £50 cash. Sky have also recently published a guide to all their chat games, together with a schedule showing which rooms have chat games when – one of the rooms (Sky Pennies) has them 24/7!
Sky players can also visit the Vegas section of the site (offering a wider selection of slots than the bingo section). Here, there is almost always some kind of big multi level promotion running and from 9th January until 26th February this is Bonus Boulevard. It runs on a weekly cycle and each week, opted in players can collect points to move up through a possible reward 12 levels; they score one point for each £1 played on slots (or £5 on table games or £10 on card games). Like most Sky Vegas promotions this has something for every level of spend from dabblers to high rollers – the lowest level reward of a £1 free scratchcard (to win a bonus with a 5x wagering requirement) needs just 10 points, whereas 50,000 points are needed to collect the maximum reward – a total of £525 in bonuses, plus the scratchcard and 15 free spins. The bonuses and the winnings from the free spins have a single playthrough requirement.
The best promotion at Paddy Power remains the welcome bonus offer which is not quite as good as it used to be but still a very worthwhile 500% on a deposit of just £5. The only restriction is that you have to spend it on bingo tickets within 30 days. The site has recently had a makeover (without changing to HTML5) but all the regular exclusives remain. Money Back Mondays is one of these; it requires opt-in but this only has to be done once a month. The promotion involves three £100 guaranteed games that play between 7pm and 10pm; if you play these games and don’t win overall, your cash stakes will be refunded as bingo bonus. Welcome to 2017 is Paddy’s exclusive January promotion; 2017 Star Points are being given away every day by the chat hosts.
At Mecca Bingo a new playing card based bingo variant Royal 5s arrived at Mecca last month on HTML5 only (so not from the old style Flash bingo lobby). It is similar to Tombola’s Cinco game and the Flash Fives game at some 888 sites. Players can buy up to 5 of the 5 card hands per game and all games are multi stake offering 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1 price points. The room features full house prizes of up to £100 and there’s also a progressive community jackpot, seeded at £5000 and split 50/50 between the winner and all other players, which drops when someone completes their hand in the first 5 calls; as the chances of doing this with one hand are 1 in 2.5 million it could get pretty big before it drops.
Mecca’s January promotions include Second Chance Bingo. This is a free bingo promotion running for the whole month; to gain access to the £500 free room which runs for an hour from 7pm, play £15 cash on bingo the day before. There’s also the usual series of slots promotions, including a £20K slot leaderboard race which is running from 9th – 18th January.
The bingo promotions at Betfair don’t look like much, mostly consisting of Betfair Boost add-ons (usually bonus codes) to the network promotions, but they do include rather a good regular free bingo promotion; £25 of cash play on bingo Monday – Thursday secures entry to Friday’s VIP Lounge bingo room which comprises 3 hours of free bingo from 7pm, with a total prize fund of £1500. Occasionally they run one-off exclusives; these can be in the bingo section only or sitewide and include leaderboard promotions and sharepots. This site also has a great deal to offer slots players, starting with the welcome offer which adds a 250% slots bonus to the generous 350% bingo bonus (to qualify for this you must sign up via our link). By far the best promotions at Betfair, however, are slots promotions to be found over in the Arcade section – and they include an amazing £15,000 weekly free bets raffle that you only need to play one single slots cash spin to enter! There’s no need to open another account to play the slots there as the same wallet can be used in both places.
Gala Bingo were the first of the big Virtue Fusion bingo sites to introduce the HTML5 bingo lobby, and their version of it includes the option in some rooms of placing a range of side bets (odd/even, colour, pairs or high/low) on the ball on which bingo will be called! Although both Flash and HTML5 versions are available on desktop and you can choose whichever you prefer, HTML5 is required to access several of the rooms including the Chase and Emmerdale bingo rooms, Cash Cubes and the Big Banker room (find out more about these in our article about online bingo variants). Gala have an ongoing daily free scratchcard promotion whereby two free scratchcards (1 x Roy’s Rolls and 1 x Buzzby) can be claimed on any day you play at least £5 on bingo. There is also a daily slots promotion; play £10 on bingo or slots to claim a free spin on the special Win-A-Spin slot. This gives out a guaranteed bonus of 20p – £50 for use on one of the six Gala Gold slots, with only a single playthrough requirement (and 7 day expiry).
For January Gala are advertising £500,000 Penny Bingo Giveaway; like a great many of their headline promotions this refers to the total guaranteed prize fund for the Gala Coral exclusive Castle penny bingo room for the entire period 31st December – 29th January.
Coral Bingo has many of the same extra features as Gala Bingo, including Coronation Street Bingo, Big Banker Bingo, Bingo Lotto , Coconut Island Bingo and Emmerdale Bingo and the side bet facility. The Chase Slot has arrived at Coral but the bingo variant has not as yet (if past form is anything to go by the bingo room will follow weeks or months later). Coral also has the regular Bingoal room at 5pm every Saturday and Sunday; this is 90 minutes of free 90 ball bingo with no entry restrictions, to play while watching (or instead of watching) the football (outside the football season as well). Each game pays £5 bingo bonus for 1L, £10 bingo bonus for 2L and £15 bingo bonus for FH – these bonuses can only be used to buy bingo tickets, and have to be used within 7 days, but apart from that there are no wagering requirements. Coral have two January exclusive promotions. One is the £20,000 Cash Giveaway. This consists of 4 weekly prize draws with £5000 in prizes each time (prize values are £20 – £500). First of all players need to opt in, then play £20 on bingo between Friday and Thursday to get one entry to the following Friday’s draw. Unlike other Virtue Fusion promotions of this type, draw entries are limited to one per player per week. As well as the draw entry, the player also gets entry to a £1000 (bingo bonus) free bingo room on the day of the draw. The other promotion is the Pennies Sale; this is the same penny bingo promotion as at Gala, but here it also includes a weekly prize draw with £1000 in Love2Shop vouchers to be won each time (5 x £100 and 10 x £50) and players get one entry for each £5 of cash play in the Castle penny bingo room (opt-in required). All players who qualify for any of the prize draws during the month will receive a £5 bingo bonus at the end of the month (2 x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry). Coral also have the VIP For A Month promotion and this will run throughout 2017. Each month, a prize draw will take place for all players who have racked up £30 of cash play on bingo during the month, and 5 winners will receive a temporary upgrade for the following month to the Diamond VIP level (which includes weekly cashback and 2 x weekly £500 free bingo sessions).
Ladbrokes Bingo have a free bingo promotion on site from 16th – 23rd January; the Bob’s Shed free bingo games, which have a £25 cash prize fund for each game including a 1TG/2TG pot, play from 5.30pm – 7.30pm every day. Players who opt in with the code of the day and play £10 cash on bingo get entry to Bob’s Shed the following day.
William Hill Bingo have a new and exclusive bingo variant on site, via the HTML5 lobby only. Bingo Bowl is a 50 ball game themed on a bowling alley; the 10 numbers appear on bowling pins. As well as a room jackpot for winning full house in 15 calls, there is a bonus game called the Kingpin Jackpot. This consists of a separate card which is marked off whenever someone wins bingo on one of the remaining numbers; there’s a fixed prize of £5 for any number and a progressive jackpot for completing the card. William Hill also have exclusive Happy Hour promotions running Sunday – Thursday every week in January, with fresh bingo and slots bonus offers and/or free bingo every day; some of these require a minimum spend and with others players just have to enter the code to get them – but the codes (which are announced on the day) are only valid for an hour and can only be used by a limited number of players, first come first served.
Betfred Bingo is another Playtech / Virtue Fusion bingo site with only occasional exclusives but what they do have (as well as their own bingo rooms and the new HTML5 bingo lobby) is the mother of all welcome bonus offers including a bingo bonus, a slots bonus, a casino bonus and a Lotto free bet.
This group of sites (owned by Canadian iGaming giant Intertain who also own Jackpot Joy) is well known for its inventive promotions, but some of them are much better for promotions than others. All have guaranteed jackpot games most evenings, but these are often networked with other sites and it is none too clear which are and which aren’t (looking at the player numbers can yield a clue). No-deposit bonuses and automatic reload bonuses are on offer at this network and another feature which is good for fair play is that most of the regular bingo rooms have a lower than usual maximum purchase of 24 or 48 cards.
These sites now offer players the choice of the classic bingo lobby or a tablet style lobby. The second option brings the tablet (and mobile) version of the bingo platform to the desktop and the reason this has been done is almost certainly because Google Chrome is phasing out Flash, which is needed for the classic lobby but not the tablet version (tablets and mobiles have not supported Flash for some time, or not at all in the case of Apple devices). The Chrome browser will soon disable Flash and although it is possible to re-enable it for specific sites players may find it easier just to switch to the tablet lobby.
One very common format for promotions at these sites to take is that of the big prize game. These generally have a tangible prize or prizes worth around £500 (occasionally £1000) and are open to funded players only. There is almost always some way of getting free cards through depositing and/or playing, but they also sell them for 10 Diamonds each (from their cross-brand rewards scheme), or for £2 or £5 cash (although this is extremely poor value considering the excessively large number of cards that are usually in play for these games). Diamonds from one site can be used at any other site where the player has a funded account (although you will need to move up a level in the loyalty scheme by amassing lifetime deposits of £50 or more to be allowed to redeem them against anything other than the aforementioned prize games).
Another signature promotion is a weekly free sliding jackpot game for the week’s depositors (6 cards can be claimed on the day of the game by those who have made a deposit in the last 7 days). There are two versions of this, one on Fridays and one on Sundays; most sites have one or the other but a couple have neither and a few have both. As sliding jackpots go the Friday night game is certainly one of the better ones as the £10,000 cash headline prize does not start to slide until the ball count (in a 75 ball coverall game) gets higher than 44 and for the prize to go all the way down to the baseline guaranteed £1000, bingo would have to be in a very slow 70 calls. Since it is not unusual for this particular game to have 20,000 or more cards in play it is extremely unlikely that the game would last that long. It also has additional prizes; 1TG players share £1000 bonus and 2TG players share £2000 bonus. The Sunday night game is a very poor relation; the ball count required to win the £5000 jackpot is ludicrously low at 29 calls, the baseline £500 is for bingo in 51 or more calls and there’s nothing for 1TG or 2TG. Of course it is still worth claiming the free cards for the Sunday game whenever you have made the necessary deposit at a site that offers it.
Apart from at Fancy Bingo – where almost all games are penny bingo – the only penny bingo at these sites comes in the form of a network 90 ball game which runs 6 times a day (at most but not all sites) with a £25/£15/£10 prize split, and a 75 ball game for funded players (again shared between several sites) on Wednesday or Saturday evening for £50 cash or a tangible prize, depending on which site you play from. The rest of the network does have free bingo (75 and 90 ball) which is open to all players, as well as some free rooms with larger prizes that are for recent depositors only.
The playing card based bingo variant Bingo Vegas (the same game already seen at Foxy and 888 Ladies) was launched at Costa lastsummer and has since also appeared at other sites including Sing Bingo, City Bingo and recent launch Kingdom of Bingo. A speed version of the same game is supposedly coming soon.
Costa Bingo was the first site in the group to open way back in 2009. It remains the busiest of them all with the largest number of bingo rooms to choose from, runs the most promotions and was the original home of the Friday sliding jackpot game which it still runs. It also has the latest version of the Dragonfish bingo platform. Free Spin Frenzy is a 5 line game that runs every Sunday evening; cards are 5p and as the name suggests the prizes are free spins (100 per line). January Cashback is a 90 ball game to be played on 2nd February; each of the three prizes is a cash refund of the payer’s January deposits up to £300 (so no point playing if you aren’t going to be depositing much during January!) Cards cost the usual £5 or 10 Diamonds and they can also be won in the qualifier games on Thursday evenings (4 games each week with card prices of 1p – 10p, win anything from 1 card for 2TG in the 1p card up to the max 96 cards for FH in the 10p game). As a further incentive to deposit, there is Diamond Delivery; this is a sharepot promotion, with 2,500,000 Diamonds to be shared equally between all players who make deposits totalling £100 or more, between 13th and 32rd January. Beat The Blues is a 75 ball game on 16th January with a £500 Thomas Cook voucher to be won. Until 15th January players can collect one free card for each £20 played on Thai Flower, Viva L’Italia or Lost Island, and cards can also be bought for 10 Diamonds or a rather extortionate £5 cash.
At Treasure Bingo the regular Truth or Dare deposit bonus promotion runs most weeks. Each week, for a deposit of £10 – £100, the TRUTH code and the DARE code can be used once each. TRUTH awards a specified bonus and DARE awards a mystery bonus. The TRUTH bonus until 22nd January is 100% and that is as good as it gets this month. January Sails is a 90 ball game to be played on 31st January with £500 of Thomas Cook vouchers to be won (FH £250, 2L £150, 1L £100). Until 30th January, players can collect 1 free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and/or each £20 played on slots, or buy them for £5 cash or 10 Diamonds. Treasure has both Friday and Sunday sliding jackpot games for depositors.
The Wish Bingo weekly prize games are called Wishing Well and they run in the Wednesday time slot; January’s prizes are all fitness gadgets. The Winter Warmers 90 ball game will play on 31st January with a tumble dryer to be won for FH, a coffee machine for 2L and a faux fur heated throw for 1L. As usual (until 30th January) players get one free card for each £10 deposited, for each £10 played on bingo and for each £20 played on slots, and cards are also on sale for £2 or 10 Diamonds.
At City Bingo the promotions are themed round a different city each month and this month City Cat is in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Kitty 75 ball game plays on 17th January and the prize is a Lenovo laptop with fashion case. Until 16th January players can collect one free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and/or each £20 played on slots; as usual cards are also on sale for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The weekly prize games are called City Souvenirs and run in the Wednesday time slot; this month’s prizes include a silk kimono and an outdoor wok set. City is one of the sites to have a regular chat tourney, which runs for an hour at a time in a different room and at a different time of day every weekday. It is unlike the usual sort of chat tourney in that instead of getting points for winning bingo, you get them for shouting out a city themed catchphrase (this month it is TAKEAWAY) when your lucky number is called. You then get to pick a grid number to see what your score is and the two players with the highest score at the end of the hour win 2500 Diamonds each. City Bingo has the Sunday version of the weekly sliding jackpot game (and in fact was its original home).
Rio Bingo has weekly prize games in the Saturday time slot, called Gift Shop. January’s prizes are all Sanctuary gift sets. Beat The Blues is a 75 ball game on 17th January, for £500 Thomas Cook vouchers (despite having the same name and prize as the game at Costa this is in fact a different game on a different day). Players can collect free cards until 16th January at the rate of one card per £10 deposited, £10 of cash play on bingo or £20 of cash play on slots, and as usual cards can also be bought for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The sliding jackpot at Rio is the Sunday version.
At Sing Bingo the musical theme for January is the late David Bowie. Jean Genie is a 90 ball game to be played on 16th January with Love2Shop vouchers to be won – £150 for FH, £100 for 2L and £50 for 1L. The only way to get free cards for this game is by playing the featured slots Millionaire Genie, Makeover Magic and Pixies of the Forest (one card for each £10 of cash play, until 15th January); as usual they are also on sale for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. Cashes To Cashes is a 75 ball game to be played on 31st January; the winner will have their deposits for the month refunded up to a maximum of £300. Players get one free card for each £10 deposited before 30th January and cards can also be bought for £2 or 10 Diamonds although it is unlikely anyone would want to do that as the more you deposit, the more you could win. The weekly prize games are called TFI Friday and as you’d expect they run in the Friday time slot. The cards are a bit more expensive at 5p as compared to the Wednesday and Saturday games at other sites but the prizes tend to be better as well. January’s prizes include Thierry Mugler Alien perfume and Hot Diamonds earrings. Sing also has a regular chat tourney which runs for 2 hours each day Monday – Friday (a different room and time each day, details on site). Win bingo and you get 250 Sing Points for yourself and 250 for a funded roomie of your choice, plus 1 tourney point for your team and the chance to win another team point by answering a trivia question correctly. The team with the most points at the end of the 2 hours win 5000 Sing Points each (you do need to stay in the room for at least 90 minutes, and until the end of the session, to get them). Sing also has Jukebox Jumble, a free game that can be played once a day for 7 days after depositing £5 or more and pays out bonus codes, free spins, Sing Points and so forth.
Fancy Bingo is a penny bingo site and most of the regular games have 1p tickets; that is its USP. Resolution Solution is Fancy’s next big game; it is a 90 ball game scheduled for 1st February and the prizes are a set of copper saucepans for FH, a Gym Mate exerciser for 2L and a Legend of Zelda Monopoly game for 1L. Free cards to this game can be collected by making deposits (1 card for every £10 deposited until 31st January) – or buy for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. Fancy also have a win your deposits back game; like the one at Sing, this 75 ball game plays on 31st January and the maximum amount of deposits the winner can get back is £300 – but here, players get one free card for each £10 of cash play on bingo (until 30th January). Again, cards can also be bought for £2 or 10 Diamonds. The weekly prize games are called Fancy That and play on Saturday nights, priced at 1p or 2p. January’s prizes are all items of loungewear. The sliding jackpot at Fancy is the Sunday version of the game, with the slight difference that players have to have funded their account in the previous 4 days to qualify (rather than the previous 7 days as at other sites), and there’s also a free daily game, Tea Party, for recent depositors similar to that at other sites in the group but again, the period for which it can be played following a deposit is 4 days rather than 7.
At Monkey Bingo, the weekly prize games are called Monkey Nuts and run in the Wednesday slot. January’s prizes are all exercise gadgets. Marvin’s Motivator is a 75 ball game on 17th January; the prize is a straightforward £500 cash . Until 16th January players can collect 1 free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and each £20 played on slots, or buy for the usual £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The sliding jackpot at Monkey is the Sunday version.
The Christmas themed Season Bingo ran some specials for the festive season. As well as the Friday £10K sliding jackpot game and a daily free game, Pick A Present, for players who have deposited in the last 7 days, prize games in the Friday slot run in January under the name Santa’s Gym Bunnies. The prizes are a series of word plays on fitness items – e.g. Boot Camp for a pair of Hunter wellies. There’s also Santa’s After Party, a 90 ball game scheduled for February 1st with £500 of Amazon vouchers to be won (split £250/£150/£100). Until January 31st players collect one free card for each £10 deposited, each £10 played on bingo and each £20 played on slots, and cards are also on sale for the usual £2 cash or 10 Diamonds.
Crocodile Bingo also has the Friday £10K sliding jackpot game and daily free game (Crocodile Dentist) for players who have deposited in the last 7 days, with prizes of bonuses, loyalty points, Diamonds, free spins or even cash.
The less popular Mandalay sites Sparkly Bingo, Bingola , Angry Bingo, Farmyard Bingo and Giant Bingo haven’t run prize games for quite some time but still run a few shared regular network promotions (including the £5K Sunday sliding jackpot). Dino Bingo and Frozen Bingo rarely run prize games but have both Friday and Sunday versions of the sliding jackpot game.
Two Mandalay owned sites launched last year, Deep Sea Bingo and Sweet Shop Bingo, aren’t part of this network but are on the main Dragonfish network instead, with the Dragonfish network rooms (including the big link rooms) and promotions and no exclusives. What they do have, though, is the Diamond Club – so Diamonds from other sites can be redeemed for bonuses there, and Diamonds earned at Deep Sea or Sweet Shop can be used for bonuses and prize game tickets at the other sites.
The most recent launches of all, fairytale themed Kingdom of Bingo and 80s themed Rewind Bingo, see a return to the Costa network but (so far at least) without any special prize games. Kingdom has the Friday and Sunday night sliding jackpot games as well as the new Bingo Vegas variant. Rewind just has the Friday sliding jackpot.
The Tarco/Netboost network (which has recently been bought by Stride Gaming the parent company of Daub Alderney of Kitty Bingo fame) includes Loony Bingo, Gossip Bingo, Sugar Bingo, Moon Bingo, Robin Hood Bingo, Polo Bingo, Diva Bingo, Cupcake Bingo and a couple of others. The USP of the network is its sliding jackpot games such as Super Millionaire which plays on the third Saturday of the month and offers the (extremely remote) possibility of winning a million pounds (you would have to bingo in a stupendously unlikely 24 calls to win it). Cards to Super Millionaire cost £1 and the baseline prize is £1000 (for 35 calls or more). If sliding jackpot games float your boat but you would prefer something cheaper there is Penny Bonanza on the third Wednesday of the month with cards at just 1p and prizes for 1TG and 2TG; the guaranteed coverall prize is £300 with £5000 up for grabs should bingo be called sufficiently quickly (29 calls) . A third sliding jackpot game with 30p cards plays every Saturday (again, with 29 calls the magic number).
Another of these games, the Daily Grand runs every night at 10pm with cards priced at a hefty £2; while this sounds expensive compared to the other sliding jackpot games, the £1000 is paid out if someone wins in 47 calls or fewer and although this is still pretty unlikely it is several orders of magnitude less unlikely than someone winning one of the other headline prizes. At 48 calls the jackpot slides to £800 and continues to slide until it reaches the guaranteed £100 at 62 (or more) calls. There’s also £50 to be shared by 1TG and another £50 to be shared by 2TG players. After being replaced for the festive season by the Holly Jolly Jackpot aka Santa’s Stash, the Daily Grand is now back on site.
The Power Penny daily sliding jackpot game also runs every evening at 11pm. As you’d expect, cards for this 75 ball game cost 1p each (and at that price, there are probably tens of thousands of cards in play each time). The headline prize is £250 but for anyone to win this they would have to get a coverall in 35 calls; 57 calls or more and the winner gets the guaranteed £25 only.
Yet another daily sliding jackpot game has now been added, the £777 Nightly Lucky Jackpot. This has a rather expensive ticket price of £1 (but plenty of free tickets are being given away as part of welcome bonus offers and in chat games) and unusually for a sliding jackpot it is a 90 ball game. 1L can win up to £77, 2L up to £200 and FH up to £500 but as yet, there are no details on site as to when the jackpot slides. The guaranteed prize fund is £77 and there’s an additional £10 to be split by 1TG tickets, and £15 to be split by 2TG tickets.
Cheap and Cheerful is a BOGOF type promotion which applies to the six 3p games every day with a fixed £50 jackpot. In order to get free tickets, however, players have to buy 12 strips, which is 72 tickets; they then receive another 4 strips free to make the total up to the maximum 96 tickets at a total cost of £2.16.
The network also runs both of the 888 big link bingo rooms under the name Linked and Loaded.
Another signature type of promotion from this group is increasingly complicated welcome bonus arrangements including slots bonuses and free bingo cards for one of the daily sliding jackpot games, as found at Moon Bingo, Loony Bingo and Gossip Bingo . If you aren’t interested in the free bingo cards try Robin Hood Bingo for a (large) plain old bingo bonus, or Polo Bingo for a series of bingo and slots bonuses (up to £1500 altogether) on the first ten deposits. Other sites in this network include Sugar Bingo, Diva Bingo and Cupcake Bingo.
Tip Top Bingo and Ted Bingo are the most recent launches from this group and both have generous and straightforward welcome offers and several promotions that reward loyal players. Wagering requirements vary across this group and can be anywhere from a single playthrough of deposit and bonus up to 4x, but in general the newer sites seem to be better in this area, and all sites here have more favourable wagering requirements for slots bonus than sites on the main Dragonfish network. They have the same policy as the main Dragonfish network regarding the £400 win limit from free spins and slots bonuses; this does not apply to progressive jackpot wins but be aware that the terms and conditions at these sites stipulate that play on progressive jackpot slots only counts at 50% towards wagering requirements.
The main Dragonfish network includes both independently owned sites such as Circus Bingo and its sister sites Pixie Bingo and Oink Bingo, and house owned sites such as Celeb Bingo, Spy Bingo and Easter Bingo. The advantage of choosing a house owned site – apart from the reassurance of dealing with such a huge and well known operator – is that they are very unlikely to opt out of any of the network promotions. Independently owned sites do opt out from time to time; several, for instance, did not run the massively networked £200K jackpot games last year and many of them do not offer the million pound sliding jackpot games. Another difference is in the range of slots on offer. On the other hand, some of the independently owned sites have exclusive bingo rooms and promotions which can’t be found elsewhere on the network – for example, the aforementioned Circus Bingo has the Pablo’s Nuts bonus game, a £1000 free monthly game for depositors, and a weekly sliding jackpot with the (albeit very tiny) chance of winning a holiday in Las Vegas.
To take full advantage of all the bingo rooms on the network players need to be frequent depositors as several of the rooms (including all the free rooms) have an entry condition whereby a deposit must have been made in the last 7 days. Depositing regularly is beneficial for the loyalty scheme as well, as loyalty level is reset every month and depends on how much was deposited during the previous month. The benefits include a modest bonus back on losses, free slots spins and free tickets to the monthly Big £10K community jackpot game; a single deposit of the minimum the site allows during the month is enough to qualify for the lowest level of these benefits but to get the maximum you’ll need to deposit £200 or more. The Big £10K itself typically has over 15,000 players and although £10K sounds a lot, the line and full house prizes are only £250, £500 and £750 as a result of most of the prize money being split between 1TG (£2000), 2TG (£1500) and all remaining tickets (£5000). If you don’t qualify for free tickets for the Big £10K they can be bought for £10 each but it is hard to see why anyone would want to do this when they could deposit the £10, get 2 free tickets and then be able to play the £10 (plus any associated bonus) elsewhere on site!
Although there are no special promotions on the Dragonfish network currently, slots players will be pleased by the arrival of the Fluffy Mega Jackpot; this progressive jackpot version of Fluffy Favourites and Fluffy Too is available as well as, not instead of, the one that was already on site with a maximum jackpot of £30,000. The Fluffy Mega Jackpot currently stands at over £125,000 and has a huge upper limit of half a million pounds!
The Dragonfish network sites also continue to run the 888 big link bingo rooms that were started in August last year. The 90 ball room runs every evening under the name 90s Extreme with all tickets priced at 5p. The first game every evening has a fixed jackpot of £1000 and tickets can be bought earlier in the day. The 75 ball room opens at 4pm and is called Big Fat 10.
Dragonfish sites do not normally have any penny bingo apart from Late Night Show once a day. This 90 ball room is for night owls only as the game runs at quarter to one in the morning UK time. Prebuy is not available until 15 minutes before the game starts and is restricted to 75 players all of whom must buy 96 tickets (at 1p each). The game has cash prizes of £50 for FH, £30 for 2L and £20 for 1L.
Dragonfish network sites love to dish out slots bonuses and/or free spins but be aware that earlier this year the network imposed a cap on what can be cashed out from these even after the wagering requirement has been completed. Any player lucky enough to scoop a progressive jackpot will still be able to collect the whole lot, but apart from that the cap will be the value of the original bonus plus £400 – so (for example) if you were playing with a £50 slots bonus the most you would be able to collect as cash after completing the playthroughs would be £450.
8 Ball Games run a sizeable portfolio of Dragonfish powered bingo sites including Bingo Irish, We Want Bingo, Glitter Bingo and the more recent launches Pet Shop Bingo and Brown Cow Bingo At first these only had the network promotions, but now they also have a number of non network rooms and promotions. Some of these, such as the weekly prize draw at We Want Bingo, are exclusive to just one site and others, such as the Reveal Room that runs on Thursday evenings with mystery codes, a mystery jackpot and a mystery prize draw are available at multiple sites on the mini network. There’s also an exclusive VIP loyalty scheme which adds various enhancements to the network scheme (including reload bonuses and reduced wagering requirements). Several new non network rooms are now available at selected times, some requiring a recent deposit and some open to all. One important difference between 8 Ball sites and other Dragonfish network sites is that many of the 8 Ball sites have a no deposit offer; at some sites this is a set amount and at others it is a mystery bonus that is guaranteed to be at least £5 but could be much more.
Quickthink Media/Bingoport Dragonfish Bingo Sites
This group of sites includes Candy Shop Bingo, Lucky Charm Bingo, Bubble Bonus Bingo, Hippo Bingo, Butterfly Bingo, Nutty Bingo, and Live Bingo and has two shared 90 ball bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds (3 hours in the afternoons) and Big Night In (4 hours in the evenings). Many of the sites also have the Wacky Wings room (originally a Butterfly Bingo exclusive) which runs a different promotion every evening. Occasionally they have shared promotions such as slots tournaments and special bingo games, but they are missing quite a lot of the Dragonfish network promotions and bingo rooms (for instance, they do not have the million pound sliding jackpot games, the Weekender room, Bounce’T or the Sunny 90s network 90 ball room). They have the standard network loyalty scheme and network wagering requirements (but very annoyingly they lack the screen showing wagering progress). The sites each have their own regular promotions as well, although the prizes aren’t anything special. Bubble Bonus Bingo has the Bubble Pop Bonus Game which can be played following a deposit of £10 or more, Butterfly Bingo has a free monthly prize draw for funded players, Lucky Charm Bingo has the Charm Chaser bonus game which comes in both desktop and mobile versions and Candy Shop Bingo has three bonus games – Candy Collector, Bonus Spinner and Betty’s Candy Cards – all of which can be played using the Candy Coins given out with every deposit.
Iceland Bingo used to be part of the group and run all the group promotions but after the sale of the rest of the sites to one buyer and Iceland to another it has separate promotions that are MUCH better than the promotions at the rest of the group. It still has the shared bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds and Big Night In, but also has the exclusive Freezer room, a monthly prize draw room on 15th and a special bingo game, Fluffy Favourites Bingo, that plays at 8pm Monday – Friday where all the prizes are bonus spins on Fluffy Too (100 for FH, 30 for 2L and 20 for 1L); cards for this are 20p and one free card is given out for each £20 played on any of the three Fluffy slots. Iceland have also now introduced Bingo Spins, which is basically the same as Fluffy Favourites Bingo but an hour later at 9pm and with free spins on Twinkle instead of the Fluffy slots.
Iceland have also announced an absolutely HUGE game to be played at 8pm on 17th April. It is a 90 ball game with £10,000 in holiday vouchers up for grabs – £5000 for FH, £3000 for 2L and £2000 for 1L. The game will be followed by an after party until 10pm, comprising 10 games with full house prizes of a £500 holiday voucher, plus further chat games. Tickets are on sale now and until 31st January they cost 50p each; they go up to £1 each on 1st February.
The Joy of Bingo network includes 888Ladies, Wink Bingo, Red Bus Bingo, and Posh Bingo (as well as a few others). They share a VIP scheme and some games, mostly the free bingo, which unusually these days includes some that is open to all players regardless of whether they have made a recent deposit. The best of the free games is on Sunday evenings and only available on mobile and tablet; it used to be networked across all the sites as a 75 ball game with a £250 prize but it seems that 888 Ladies now has its own 90 ball version (with a £200 prize fund). These sites all also have the 888 big link 90 ball room under the name Stack Up and the big link 75 ball room under the name Unwind (at some of the sites these are only available on mobile).
888 Ladies and Wink have a jackpot game called Payday £3000 which is played on the final Friday of each month; it is a 90 ball game with 10p tickets and prizes down to 2TG. Payday £1500 is a similar game with smaller prizes and 5p tickets, which plays at the other sites on the network.
£2500 Bingo Bargain is a mobile only game being advertised at 888 Ladies. It plays on 28th January, with £1200 for FH, £800 for 2L, £500 for 1L and a ticket price of just 1p. The same game is included in Wink’s Spend A Penny promotion – along with a daily £25 game and a weekly £250 game that also have a ticket price of 1p.
To claim a redeposit bonus at Joy of Bingo sites a code has to be entered and these are usually sent out via email each weekend. Until the end of the month players at Wink get a spin on the Wink Wheel every time they deposit using code SPIN; this awards free spins or bonus.
Bingo Hollywood is Dragonfish powered and on a network of its own. They usually run two exclusive bingo promotions, a pattern bingo event (this always involves trying to win pattern bingo games in the Red Carpet Room at 45 past the hour and may also involve other rooms at other times) and a chat tourney with millions of loyalty points up for grabs. The pattern bingo promotion has been taking a break for the last couple of months and instead there is Happy New Year. The aim is to win a full house or coverall on number 17 (to win a £5 gift card) or number 20 (to win 5000 loyalty points) and additionally this has to be in a hosted room with the player in the chat from the start of the game. Prizes then have to be claimed via email and there is an additional prize of a £100 gift card at the end of the month for the player who collects “2017” the most times. Those who enjoy pattern bingo are still catered for by the regular monthly Paparazzi Points promotion; players score points when they bingo on the pattern of the month (Shopping Cart for January). 1st on the leaderboard at the end of the month wins £100 bingo bonus, 2nd wins £75 bingo bonus and 3rd wins £50 bingo bonus. Blockbuster Bingo is Bingo Hollywood’s big monthly game. It is a 75 ball sliding jackpot game with a card price of 50p and a headline prize of £10K which will be won if the coverall is completed in an extremely unlikely 32 or fewer calls. The baseline prize of £2000 is for 51 or more calls. The chat tourney is called New Year Team Event and follows the usual rules, running on weekend evenings from 7pm -11pm in a different featured room each weekend evening (alternating between 75 and 90 ball); every team wins loyalty points with the lion’s share going to the top team, but to win the full prize you have to play 100 games or more over the weekend. Play 50-99 and you get half the prize, play 49 or fewer and you just get 1000 loyalty points. Slots tourneys also run regularly and January’s follows the recently used format and runs for the whole month, with 1 leaderboard point awarded for each £10 played on the Fluffy Favourites slot. There are real cash prizes of £50 – £250 for 1st – 10th and casino bonus prizes of £50 – £250 for 11th – 20th, and all 20 winners also get 50 free spins on Fluffy Favourites.
The 888 big link 90 ball games have an extra feature at Bingo Hollywood. Players who win FH, also win 1000 loyalty points for each gold ball (73 – 90) that is called before 1L is completed in the next game. At the end of the evening the player who wins the most loyalty points in this way wins an extra £20 bingo bonus. There’s also a prize for the person with the most wins for the month in the High 5 bingo room – they get £55 bingo bonus, £55 casino bonus and 55 free spins on Fluffy Too.
New at Bingo Hollywood for January is Snap – the game otherwise known as Flash Fives or Bingo Vegas – although because the site is not on the main network, the room sometimes does not have enough players for the games to run.
Foxy Bingo has the latest version of the Dragonfish platform and in terms of the sheer number of bingo rooms and promotions to choose from, the cheeky fox is very hard to beat. There’s a different regular promotion for each day of the week, the best being the hourly guaranteed Jackpot O’Clock games on Friday evenings (these have a card price of 50p and guaranteed jackpots of £1000 or £5000.
Foxy’s Faraway Tourney is a slots tourney with the usual £5K of prizes – £100 – £1000 cash for the top 10 and £10 – £50 casino bonus (with a 40x wagering requirement) for the rest of the top 100. It runs from 16th – 22nd January with opt in available from 13th, and players score one point for each £10 of cash play on the featured slots which are Cleopatra, Amazon Queen, Lost Island and Aloha! Cluster Pays.
Although Foxy stopped offering automatic reload bonuses last year, there are still plenty of opportunities to get bonuses (and win free spins) via their Facebook community (this is a closed group, not a page) and via the Foxy magazine that is sent to players in the post. As of the end of January, Foxy will have the £400 restriction on slots bonus winnings already seen at other 888 sites, but this does not apply to anyone lucky enough to win a progressive jackpot (of which there are many at Foxy).
Microgaming bingo sites have very little in the way of interesting promotions these days. One unique thing about the Microgaming platform is that it is the home of Immortal Romance Bingo, a bingo variant themed on the hugely popular slot – but apart from that, there is not much that is special about the network itself.
Dream Bingo used to run lots of exclusive promotions and had several non network bingo rooms, but now (apart from the occasional slots promotion) it only has the network rooms and promotions (which are hardly ever changed) and is looking rather neglected. If you just want the network stuff 32 Red is looking like a better site to play at now as it still has a small no deposit bonus.
Butlers Bingo and its sister sites which include the Irish charity bingo site Rehab Bingo do have two exclusive bingo rooms. The Broadway Room is a standalone 90 ball room open in the afternoons and evenings offering a variety of jackpots and in the Spinner Room (open in the evenings), you can win free spins on specified slots; these rooms are clearly popular with players as earlier in the year Butlers won an award for best Microgaming bingo site that was voted on by players. Free spins are also frequently part of the sign-up offer (and unlike their other promotions this is changed semi regularly). Over the last few months some extra jackpots have been added in the Broadway room, but these are mostly multi-level room jackpots rather than guaranteed prizes for specific games.
Two UK bingo sites run on this software. The USP of Bingocams is the integration of webcams into the software allowing players to see each other and the chat host – although it is perfectly possible to play without a cam and many do. Live Win Moments are cam footage of someone winning FH and there are occasionally prizes in connection with these. Bright Bingo is the same platform but with the cams given little prominence.
At Bingocams the Big Bang progressive jackpot was finally won in September, after taking over a year to climb to around the £22,000 mark, and was then won again only a week later at little more than its seed value of £5000! It is now over £8000. Win by getting a 90 ball full house in 32 or fewer balls, or a 75 ball coverall in 42 or fewer balls in any of their rooms, any time; anyone who has made a deposit in the last 3 months is eligible. There are also a number of room jackpots; these are much smaller and easier to win, dropping at 40 balls in 90 ball and 48 balls in 75 ball.
January is Shop ‘Til You Drop Month at Bingocams. This very simple event comprises a free game at 10.30pm every Sunday, with a £100 Love2Shop voucher to be won; to gain entry players have to deposit and play £10 that week (on any combination of bingo and casino play) and this has to be completed by midnight on the Saturday.
Bright Bingo‘s progressive jackpot is called Money Mountain and last year it was won (at over £20,000) for only the second time ever. It is now edging up to £10,000. Win by getting a full house in a 90 ball room in 32 balls or fewer, or by getting a coverall in a 75 ball room in 42 balls or fewer (and as at the sister site, you need to have made a deposit in the last 3 months to be eligible). Bright Bingo also used to have monthly special events but nothing has been announced to follow Win A Wage (which ran for 3 months in the autumn).
There are only a handful of Gamesys sites left now following the departure of Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo to Virtue Fusion last summer. They have Super Links network games with £20K guaranteed prizes every day and are very good sites to play at if you enjoy prize draw promotions but are no more than a modest spender, because Gamesys rules on prize draws almost always allow only one entry per player per day. The Gamesys platform, however, is very much geared towards desktop play with only a restricted selection of mobile bingo rooms available.
Heart Bingo have introduced some extra guaranteed prizes into their bingo schedule and also have Sugar Rush; this regular promotion (which started back in October) awards a percentage boost to every prize in the Candy Club room between 11am and noon; the percentage boost is different every day (and announced each day on the promo page) but always between 10% and 100%. Match Maker is a prize draw promotion that runs from 16th – 22nd January; to enter, players choose from 8 cards until they reveal a matching pair, the colour of which determines which of the four prize draws they can enter. Each draw has a different set of cash prizes and a different qualifying spend (which has to be done on slots) and these range from 100 x £10 prizes with a qualifying spend of £1 up to 1 x £2000 prize with a qualifying spend of £30. Out Of The Ashes is a daily cashback promotion on the “new” slot Secrets of the Phoenix (it’s not a new release but was previously exclusive to Virgin Games); to get the 25% cashback (up to £10) on the day’s losses, players have to play at least £30 on the slot. As usual with this type of Gamesys promotion, the cashback is only paid out if it is at least £1.
At Virgin Games the focus is definitely on slots rather than bingo, with most of the promotions being to do with slots or poker. The V10 promotion from December is being run again in January; the top prize is a luxury trip to Las Vegas for 4 including £6000 spending money! To unlock this prize requires a massive community effort – players collect draw entries and score community points by visiting the site every day and playing a minimum of 1p (one draw entry and one community point for doing this just once). Playing on 2 or 3 days in the month earns 2 draw entries and 4 community points – but playing on 30 or all 31 days in the month earns the maximum of 110 entries and 256 community points. Community points fill the community meter and there are 10 levels for it to rise through, each of which unlocks a community award (e.g. extra V* points) or a prize draw. For all 7 prize draws including the one with the Las Vegas trip prize to take place, all 10 levels have to be completed, but this was done in December so there’s a good chance of it happening again this time. The Chat-10 is an accompanying chat promotion that runs for four hours each day and every time the V10 goes up a level, so do the chat game prizes. This week’s other promotions are to do with poker and live casino.
Jackpot Joy also have a range of exclusive promotions including a monthly £13,000 bingo game and frequent sharepots.
The big news at Jumpman powered sites remains the arrival at the end of November of a lot of new slots – not just the Pariplay slots (Magical Forest etc) that we were expecting, but also a selection of Net Ent slots including Starburst, Guns N Roses and Koi Princess.
15 Network is the original Jumpman powered bingo network and usually has one main network promotion. For the past few months this has been a weekly prize draw and for January it has been given a bit of a twist by being dressed up as a head to head slots race. Team A is Starburst and Aloha Cluster Pays and Team B is Irish Luck and Fluffy Favourites; each week there is a prize draw with 10 prizes of £75 cash but this will take place only between the players who played the more popular of the two sets of slots.
Tuesday Treasure is a free bingo game that plays across the network on the second Tuesday of every month (although it is not certain it will happen in February as the room is currently not open for ticket sales). All funded players can claim up to 96 free tickets, and the prize split is FH £400, 2L £200, 1L £160 and £80 each for 1TG, 2TG and 3TG. Last month there were around 200,000 tickets in play, so each ticket only has a very small chance of winning – but it’s free, so well worth claiming max tickets.
The network now has a wagering requirement of 4x on bingo bonus and 40x on the newly introduced instant games bonus. This works in the usual way with winnings added to the bonus bankroll and transferred to cash when the wagering requirement is completed; any withdrawal before then (even of cash winnings from the original deposit) and you lose bonus and winnings. If you receive a fresh bonus before using all of the old one, the wagering requirement is recalculated on the whole lot.
Film Bingo usually runs an exclusive leaderboard style event every month, and for January this is called Delightful Dreams and has a prize of a luxury kingsize duvet, pillows and bedding set. Score points for a deposit of £20 (10 points), a full house or coverall win on number 3 (10 points), a win on the Z pattern (5 points) or £20 of cash play on Jack and the Beanstalk (10 points).
Bingo Minions usually have a prize draw but their next exclusive promotion will be in February.
Clucky Bingo are running a two-part prize draw promotion very similar to the one they had last month. The promotion runs until 21st February and to enter Draw 1 (£100 Amazon voucher) players just need to register or log in at some point during the promotional period. Draw 2 is also for Amazon vouchers – £100 for first prize and £50 for second prize – and players get entries for this by making deposits (1 entry for each £10 deposited) and playing (1 entry for each £10 of cash play).
Rocket Bingo is the only Jumpman site to offer free bingo games without the requirement to have made a deposit in the preceding 7 days. There are a number of games with £1 prizes every day, a £10 game two evenings a week plus an hour of £10 free bingo games on Friday evenings.
The last few months have seen a change of ownership of the two 15 Network sites that used to have the biggest array of exclusive promotions and in both cases most of them have abruptly stopped running. Lollipop Bingo had a leaderboard race for December but like Bingo Minions they have a holding page for a February exclusive. In the case of Tidy Bingo the promotions page hasn’t been updated since the end of July but they do appear to be giving out extra bonuses via their Facebook page and it seems their exclusive bingo room will be reopening soon.
Back in 2015, a new network launched that also uses the Jumpman Gaming software – the Wheel of Slots network. As its name suggests this is aimed at those who like to play slots as well as bingo. There are NO bingo bonuses on offer at Wheel of Slots, just free spins on the likes of Fluffy Favourites, the best welcome offer being a guaranteed 50 free spins on Fluffy Favourites at Viking Bingo. Most of the Wheel of Slots sites run a regular Slot of the Week promotion; this consists of a prize draw with one entry given out per £20 played on the specified slot which is notified by email. The prize is a spin of the Winners Wheel (not the same as the regular wheel) which gives out 20 – 500 spins on Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Isis or Shaman’s Dream. The Wheel of Slots sites have a weekly January Raffle promotion this month and unlike last month’s “win a share of 100,000 free spins” this is a genuine raffle, with one ticket awarded per £20 of cash play on Fluffy Favourites, Sugar Train, Temple of Isis or Shaman’s Dream. Each week, there are 50 prizes – of 20 free spins each.
The Live Bingo Network sites almost all have the same promotions. They include jackpot games with free tickets for depositors, a weekly/monthly slots tournament with casino bonus prizes for the top spenders and so on. Cozy also has the Best Bingo Network but apart from a slightly different welcome offer all the promotions and bingo rooms are an exact copy of those on the Live Bingo Network. Indeed, player numbers and prize amounts visible at sites on the two networks suggests that they now also have shared liquidity – which would mean they they are in effect one and the same network.
Grand 2017 Kick-Off is currently running across both networks (but not at all sites – the sites operated by 8 Ball have been excluded as they run their own promotions, mostly bonus based). This includes some previously running promotions such as session bingo and the login bonus wheel, plus an enhanced version of the daily raffle promotion, and a 10p game every evening at 11pm, with a prize of £2017, winner takes all.
Free bingo at Cozy is 50 ball only and in order to be allocated 10 free tickets you have to be in the bingo room just before the game plays – but if you are playing with a no deposit bonus you won’t be allowed to claim any tickets as it is only for funded players. Line and FH prizes are £1 and extra tickets can be bought for 1p each.
One advantage of Cozy sites is that almost all of them offer a no deposit bonus, but do be aware that following changes that were made a few months back it is NOT possible to win withdrawable cash with this (not directly anyway). Winnings from a no deposit bonus can only be carried forward as casino cash (a bit of a misnomer as it is not actually cash at all but a type of bonus that can be used on bingo or slots), capped at 100% of the value of the first deposit or £50 (whichever is smaller) and with a wagering requirement of 4x on bingo or 10x on slots – and this can only be done if the player accepts a bonus on their first deposit (thereby incurring a further wagering requirement).
Alternatively there is Game Village which runs on Cozy software but is on its own Lucky Duck Network, so all the offers and jackpot games are exclusive to them and to a couple of other sites including the recently launched Becky’s Bingo. They have a bewildering array of promotions, most of which change monthly, but to participate in the majority of them you need to have homeowner status which requires you to make three initial deposits and then deposit at least once every 30 days. Another potential pitfall is that for most of their promotions the prize will not be awarded automatically and you must contact them to claim it (assuming you even notice that you qualify). They do seem to have simplified things a bit with their January promotions but not necessarily for the better – 4 of the promotions are bingo races, with the prize going to the player who buys the most tickets for the specified type of bingo game (only homeowners qualify). The Charity Event is back for January, with all ticket monies going to the Terrence Higgins Trust, but as it is one 50 minute stint of penny bingo in mid afternoon it is unlikely to amount to much; there is no information on site about charity donations in previous months.
Cozy sites launched in the last few months include Now Bingo, Swanky Bingo , Sailor Bingo and Lucky Diner Bingo, which has something special to offer – an exclusive bingo room with live chat host that they are broadcasting on a video stream! They also have a 24 hour jukebox including live radio shows. The live rooms are open to everyone who has deposited £10 or more in the preceding 7 days. Recent launch Igloo Bingo also has extras including a free bingo game every evening with a £10 prize fund.
Daub Alderney have four bingo sites which combine shared rooms and promotions with exclusive ones.
Kitty Bingo was the first site in the group to launch.
Lucky Pants Bingo generally runs promotions that are more geared towards slots – such as the Spin O Clock regular Tuesday promotion which gives out free spins in lieu of a deposit bonus. It is also possible to choose a slots bonus offer as a welcome offer (on your first three deposits) if that’s what you prefer. Lucky Pants now has NetEnt slots and the welcome offer has been tweaked so that the free spins are on these – Spinata Grande for the 20 free spins on registration and Spinata Grande, Koi Princess, Gonzo’s Quest or Starburst for the 100 free spins that are given out over the 5 days susbsequent to making a first deposit.
Bingo Extra‘s USP is the exclusive Extra Room where several different varieties of bingo are played and extra features and prizes are the order of the day.
Give Back Bingo is a recently launched charity bingo site. They say they will donate all bingo profits to the charity of the month and that the donations will be documented on a Just Giving page, but when this type of arrangement has been done at other charity bingo sites it has never worked well and it has rarely been clear how much has been donated to which charity – or indeed whether anything has. The profits from their opening month of December – £599.60 according to their blog – are to be donated to Shelter.
The regular Win-Win game runs on Wednesday evenings at 10pm. Cards for this 90 ball game cost 20p (cash only) and there is a £200 guaranteed prize fund. If you don’t win, you receive your stake money back as bingo bonus.
Weekly Shop plays every Tuesday night at 10pm and the prize in this 75 ball game, which has a card price of 5p, is a very useful £100 shopping vouchers.
Fiver Frenzy (known as the Playground at Bingo Extra) is a new 1p bingo game that plays twice a day at 1pm and 10pm; it is a 5 line game with £5 fixed prize per line.
On the last Friday of every month, the £10K Slider plays. This is a 5 line game with a card price of 20p and should the winner bingo in 45 or fewer calls they will take home the whole £10,000 jackpot (this is a considerably higher number of calls than the vast majority of sliding jackpot games at other sites – while it is still pretty unlikely that someone will actually win, it is a lot less unlikely than in similar games elsewhere). It starts to slide after that and when the ball count reaches 53 it reverts right back down to the guaranteed £400. Line prizes are £150 each and there is a card maximum of 72.
The three non charity sites usually run a promotion each week (generally differing from each other in name only) where depositing or playing Monday to Thursday generates a reward on the Friday. The version that is running at Kitty and Lucky Pants this week (16th – 19th January) is a good one; usually players have to make a deposit of £20 to qualify and then rack up a lot of bingo or slots play to win anything but this time, just the deposit gets them a mystery bonus of £5 – £100. Depositing less than £20 but at least £5 awards free spins, points or cards instead. At Bingo Extra the offer is different – only deposits of £20 or more count and the prizes start at £2 bingo bonus or free slots spins. All the bingo bonuses have a 4 x wagering requirement and the “cash” bonuses (which can be used on any game) have a 10 x wagering requirement.
Maria used to be a Virtue Fusion bingo site but back in July 2015 they migrated to the brand new bingo platform from Relax Gaming and the whole site was given a radical makeover. Maria is basically a casino with bingo (quite a lot of bingo – there are 4 open access bingo rooms plus one daily rewards room which is more than you’ll find at many plain old bingo sites) and where it really excels is the slots. They have one of the best selections available at any bingo site and it can all be played with the same wallet; new slots are added very often and there are frequent cashback or free spins offer. The welcome offers are also geared towards slots and include free spins; although the welcome bonus can be used on bingo the wagering requirements are more in line with what one would expect from a slots bonus. When Maria say cashback, they mean CASH (zero wagering requirements) and what they give you a percentage of CASH WAGERS rather than a percentage of losses. Slots tournaments at Maria also run frequently (at least every single day from 5pm – 8pm) and unlike the vast majority of slots tournaments you will find at other bingo sites, the winner is normally the player with the biggest net win in 20 consecutive spins rather than the biggest spender.
Maria is networked with Bingo.com, which has very much the same selection of slots as well as the same bingo rooms but gives the bingo a lot more prominence and often runs bingo promotions (such as bingo tournaments) that aren’t on at Maria. Bingo.com won the Fair Play Award at last year’s bingo industry awards and this was judged by a panel of independent experts so you can be sure of very high standards of social responsibility and fair play there.
A recent innovation at the Relax bingo sites is Roll On Bingo (hitherto only found on the Virtue Fusion platform) and they also have a selection of regular bingo promotions including 14 days of free bingo for newbies, jackpot games and tournaments. A separate bingo bonusing system (with a 4x wagering requirement) comes into play quickly – the bingo vouchers are given out as rewards on spins of the loyalty wheel and unlike bingo bonuses at many other sites, bingo vouchers are used before and not after any cash the player may have in their account.
A free scratchcard promotion runs throughout January. Players get a card each time they complete £10 on bingo cash play, and can earn up to three cards a day. Prizes include cash spins on mini games and £5 bingo vouchers, and if you’re very lucky you could even win the £10,000 cash prize. During January, the access requirement for the All Stars bingo room has been cut; usually players would have to rack up £30 of play to qualify for entry the following day but now it is £15.
The World Championship bingo tournament runs from 8th – 22nd January and follows the usual Relax rules with 1 point awarded for 1L, 2 for 2L, 3 for 3L, 4 for 4L and 5 points for FH. There’s a weekly prize pool with cash prizes (£500, £250, £100) for the top three and free spins for the rest of the top 30, and an overall prize pool with more generous cash prizes (£500, £400, £250) for the top three and more free spins for the rest of the top 30. As well as the £500 the overall top player will win a trip for two to Bingo on the Beach 2017. This exclusive event takes place from 4th – 7th May on the beautiful island of Malta and Bingo.com will be entertaining 10 players (and their plus ones) in all.
There are plenty of slots promotions running as well, including various slots tournaments and from 16th – 22nd January, the Best of 2016 £10,000 network prize draw. Unibet have picked their favourite ten slot releases from last year (including Guns N Roses, Rainbow Riches Pick n Mix and Theme Park Tickets of Fortune) and after opting in, players get one draw entry for each £20 played on slots from the list. 10 lucky players will win £1000 cash each.
