In February, expect to see a slew of Valentine’s Day themed promotions. This could also be a year when we see some themed on Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday). This falls on a different date each year; when Easter is early it happens while all the Valentine’s Day promotions are still in full swing and when Easter is very late it falls in March when all the bingo sites get excited about St Patrick’s Day, Irish luck and all that. This year, Pancake Day conveniently falls on 28th February so we expect a number of bingo sites to fit in a pancake themed promotion in between the two.
The Virtue Fusion / Playtech network is all about big money! Bingo Linx games play several times every day across the entire network, typically with prizes of £1000+, and at certain times of the month the prizes get even bigger including a total of £250,000 in prizes over the final weekend of every month. The downside of such huge prizes is that so many players are involved that the chance an individual player has of winning is pretty small. The pre-buy system on Playtech powered sites can make buying tickets for the big games slightly confusing as you need to know which room and which time to order the tickets for, instead of just going to a separate room or tab from the lobby as you would at an 888 powered site.
Playtech are also well known for variant forms of bingo including Deal or No Deal Bingo, Rainbow Riches Bingo and Cash Cubes. Another variant launched this week but as it uses the same engine as Cash Cubes the difference is mostly cosmetic; it is themed on the Bouncy Balls slot (which will be getting an upgrade too).
February’s big network promotion is yet another repeat of the always popular £1 million slots prize draw. This started on Monday 30th and runs until 26th Febuary, and as usual the prize fund gets bigger each week. The final week’s draws on 24th and 27th February each have a massive £200K prize fund, and the slots to play are Britain’s Got Talent Superstar, Pirate Plunder, Amazon Wild from 20th – 23rd and Big Top Tombola, Bounty of the Beanstalk, and Zodiac Supernova from 24th – 26th February. Players get one draw entry for each £10 played on the qualifying slots, and two entries for each £10 played on the bonus slot of the week which is Wild Gambler.
Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo migrated from Gamesys to the Virtue Fusion platform back in August but these sites do NOT look and play like regular Virtue Fusion sites. Instead the bingo rooms and lobby look very much as they did prior to the move, with the Virtue Fusion software running quietly in the background; this brings Cash Cubes on to the desktop without the new style (HTML5) Virtue Fusion bingo lobby – a welcome development for the many players who dislike the new lobby. Fabulous has the better welcome offer of the two sites, but fewer ongoing promotions.
Win Win Bingo runs for the whole of February in the Headline bingo room. 24 of these games are scheduled every day, at set times between noon and 6pm and Sun will refund all losing tickets within 72 hours (as cash if bought with cash, and as bingo bonus with a 3x wagering requirement if bought with bonus). The games have a ticket price of 5p, a guaranteed prize fund of £10 and a maximum purchase of 6 tickets per player. Sun also have an exclusive £10K bingo game at 9pm on 24th February; tickets are 10p each.
For those wanting to try out the new Bouncy Balls bingo, Sun have a free £1 bonus for the new room; it is available until 26th February. To claim the bonus (which has a 3x wagering requirement), use code BOUNCY.
Fabulous Bingo have a free bingo promotion for February, very similar to the one run at Sun last month. 56 free games run every day, at scheduled times between 10am and 10pm. All winnings are paid in cash and there is a total of over £15K to be won in the course of the month.
Both Sun and Fabulous have a slot of the week promotion offering a £5 slot specific bonus (with a 30x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) when you play £10 on the week’s bonus slot from the network prize draw promotion; this week the slot is Wild Gambler and the opt-in code is WGFIVE (at Sun) and WGFAB (at Fabulous). Sun also have another slots promotion, the Hit the Slots Sale, which runs on random dates until the end of February. The £1 slots bonus codes are sent by text message and are limited to 1000 redemptions.
Bgo have some exclusive BGO World bingo rooms and an exclusive free spins offer for new players, plus an excellent selection of slots and a very nice slots/casino welcome offer that can be taken as an alternative to bingo bonus. The Big Competition runs every month; to qualify for the three special games on the last Friday of the month (24th February) players need to deposit £20 and play £10 on bingo and £10 on mini games in the exclusive Fairy Delight bingo room. These games have shopping voucher prizes on top of the regular prize pot. Most weekends there is an extra bonus on offer (usually play £10 get £10, with a 2x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) and the code is announced on the Friday. Fab Feb is a series of bingo promotions, running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays throughout February, to be announced on the day; it started with £10 bonus prizes for the two players to win the most chat games on Wednesday 1st. As usual Bgo also have a couple of sitewide promotions. Hollywood Dreams is a slots prize draw promotion with a top prize of a VIP holiday in LA, running on a weekly cycle until 1st March. After opting in, players get one draw ticket for each £10 played on any slot game (2 tickets if it is on the featured movie themed slots) up to a maximum of 50 tickets per week. They also get 10 free spins each time they collect 10 tickets. Winnings from the free spins (which can be used on Starburst or one of three other slots only) are paid as a slots bonus with a 35x wagering requirement and 3 day expiry. There’s also an iPad Air prize draw once a week during February, but the only way to enter (after opting in) is by playing £10 on live casino and this has to be done from mobile or tablet only; there is no upper limit on the number of entries a player is allowed to have.
At Bet365 there is almost always a big exclusive going on. Pick Your Trip started on 30th January and in this promotion, there is a trip for two to the Canary Islands (in the form of a £1500 travel voucher) to be won at 9pm every Sunday until 26th February. Players can acquire up to 36 tickets to the week’s finale game by playing the 5p Check In games Monday – Saturday (one ticket is awarded for every line or full house win, in addition to the regular prizes) or by buying for £1 each. There’s also the Party Hour immediately prior to each finale game; players can claim 6 free tickets to each of the 10 games (which have prizes of cash or Love2Shop vouchers) for each £5 played in the Check In games. Finally there is a £250 bingo bonus community jackpot to be shared between the tickets held by non winning players in each finale game, so absolutely everyone who takes part in this promotion will go away with something. March Makeover is next up, starting on 27th February and running until 26th March. It follows exactly the same format as Pick Your Trip, including the Party Hour games and the £250 bingo bonus community jackpot, and a limit of 36 tickets for both the Party Hour and finale games; the only difference is that the finale full house prizes are £1000 cash (for the winner to spend on the makeover of their choice).
Bet365 also have Ready Steady Go, which is a regular double your winnings promotion that runs every other week (13th – 19th February and 27th February – 5th March). To qualify players need to opt in (this only needs to be done once) and play in the 6 featured bingo rooms. Any cash wins in these rooms from cash ticket purchases will be doubled up to an extra £10 for play on desktop, another £10 for play on tablet and yet another £10 for play on mobile. The cash has to be withdrawn or played within 7 days.
Bet365’s exclusive bingo rooms include the Mojo Lounge which runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9pm with all cards at 5p and at least 50 Roll On prizes. FH winners also have the opportunity to choose a Mojo Vault key. If the key they pick opens the vault they win £20 bingo bonus. If no-one manages to open the vault during the evening the amount is incremented by £5 and this continues until someone wins. To get into Mojo Lounge for the week you have to spend £10 cash on bingo over the preceding weekend (or any time up until 30 minutes before the first game). Bet365 now have the new style (HTML5) bingo lobby and rooms, with the option to use the old Flash lobby if preferred. Lastly there is the rolling Bingo Slots Club promotion. Opt in and earn one loyalty point for each £10 played on slots (but do be aware that only slots in the Games section of Bet365 Bingo count, not slots from elsewhere on site) , and at the end of the 2 week period an extra slots bonus (with a 20x wagering requirement) is given out for reaching a certain level of Loyalty Points on a certain number of days – this ranges from £1 for getting 10 Loyalty Points on 2 of the days to a whopping £1000 for getting 2000 Loyalty Points on 10 of the days. Qualifying periods for this month are 6th – 19th February and 20th February – 5th March.
Sky Bingo ‘s no deposit bonus offer has finished now and has been replaced with a generous deposit bonus offer. Game of the Week is a slots promotion running in conjunction with the network slots prize draw, awarding a £10 slots bonus for £50 of cash play on the week’s bonus slot; the bonus has a modest 5x wagering requirement and 7 days expiry but each week, the offer is limited to 5000 redemptions, so hurry if you want to claim it. This week (until 26th), opt in with code WILD and play Wild Gambler.
The big news at Sky is the freshly launched exclusive 40 ball bingo variant, Tipping Point Bingo – a tie-in with the ITV game show. This has a similar game mechanic to Rainbow Riches Bingo, with 8 numbers per ticket arranged in two clusters of 4, and prizes for 1 cluster and full house. The progressive jackpot is much more straightforward, though – split 50/50 between the winner and the other players for bingo in 12 calls or fewer. Ticket prices are 10p – 25p and there’s a maximum of 30 tickets per player per game. There’s plenty of opportunities to try this new room out for free; not only is £25 of the welcome bonus offer earmarked just for Tipping Point Bingo, but every evening between 8pm and 9pm until further notice 10 free games, with £100 bingo bonus (1 x wagering requirement) to be won each time, alternate with 10p ticket games.
Sky players can also visit the Vegas section of the site (offering a wider selection of slots than the bingo section). Here, there is almost always some kind of big multi level promotion running and from 9th January until 26th February this is Bonus Boulevard. It runs on a weekly cycle and each week, opted in players can collect points to move up through a possible reward 12 levels; they score one point for each £1 played on slots (or £5 on table games or £10 on card games). Like most Sky Vegas promotions this has something for every level of spend from dabblers to high rollers – the lowest level reward of a £1 free scratchcard (to win a bonus with a 5x wagering requirement) needs just 10 points, whereas 50,000 points are needed to collect the maximum reward – a total of £525 in bonuses, plus the scratchcard and 15 free spins. The bonuses and the winnings from the free spins have a single playthrough requirement.
The best promotion at Paddy Power remains the welcome bonus offer which is not quite as good as it used to be but still a very worthwhile 500% on a deposit of just £5. The only restriction is that you have to spend it on bingo tickets within 30 days. The site has recently had a makeover (without changing to HTML5) but all the regular exclusives remain. Money Back Mondays is one of these; it requires opt-in but this only has to be done once a month. The promotion involves three £100 guaranteed games that play between 7pm and 10pm; if you play these games and don’t win overall, your cash stakes will be refunded as bingo bonus. Themed on the network slots prize draw, Millions Madness month sees 1 million Star Points each week given away in random drops to players who are present in the chatrooms, and there’s also a different related promotion each week; this week (20th – 23rd) players can collect a 20% net winnings boost (paid as a bingo bonus with a 5x wagering requirement and expiry on 3rd March) when they play the slot of the week Wild Gambler (opt in with code WILDBOOST). Paddy have something amazing planned for March so do check back later in the month for an announcement.
At Mecca Bingo Holiday Heaven is a free bingo promotion running until 26th February; the 5 free games play from 7pm every Sunday and to get into the room players need to play £20 on bingo between Friday morning and 6pm Sunday. The first four games have prizes of £20 for 1L, £50 for 2L and £100 for FH and the fifth game has £50 for 1L, £100 for 2L and a £1000 holiday voucher for FH.
The Snakes and Ladders bingo room is now available in the new look (HTML5) bingo lobby and Mecca have two promotions to encourage players to try it out. Each day from 24th – 26th, £5 of cash play in the new look room will qualify the player for a share of a £1000 cash prize, and from 27th February – 5th March, enter code SNAKESBONUS to receive 20% back on overall wins or losses in the new look room, paid as a bingo bonus up to £50, with a single playthrough requirement and 7 day expiry.
There’s also the usual series of slots promotions, and this week Mecca have two new slots – Star Lanterns which is part of the IGT Megajackpots series, and Wild Wild West by NetEnt.
Until recently Mecca Bingo was the only Virtue Fusion bingo site not to have a Playtech back end management system. Their site management is done by Bede Gaming and that is what enables them to offer a different (and arguably better) selection of slots and slots promotions. The IPS group of smaller Virtue Fusion bingo sites including Crown Bingo now have a similar arrangement and again, this enables them to offer different slots promotions to other Virtue Fusion sites. Until 1st March, the IPS sites have two promotions in connection with the new slot Forest Mania, one with prizes for the 30 players who trigger the bonus features most often and one prize draw for the 25 biggest spenders.
The bingo promotions at Betfair don’t look like much, mostly consisting of Betfair Boost add-ons (usually bonus codes) to the network promotions, but they do include rather a good regular free bingo promotion; £25 of cash play on bingo Monday – Thursday secures entry to Friday’s VIP Lounge bingo room which comprises 3 hours of free bingo from 7pm, with a total prize fund of £1500. Occasionally they run one-off exclusives; these can be in the bingo section only or sitewide and include leaderboard promotions and sharepots. By far the best promotions at Betfair, however, are slots promotions to be found over in the Arcade section – and they include an amazing £15,000 weekly free bets raffle that you only need to play one single slots cash spin to enter! There’s no need to open another account to play the slots there as the same wallet can be used in both places.
Gala Bingo were the first of the big Virtue Fusion bingo sites to introduce the HTML5 bingo lobby, getting on for a year ago now, and their version of it includes the option in some rooms of placing a range of side bets (odd/even, colour, pairs or high/low) on the ball on which bingo will be called! Although both Flash and HTML5 versions are available on desktop and you can choose whichever you prefer, HTML5 is required to access several of the rooms including the Chase and Emmerdale bingo rooms, Cash Cubes and the Big Banker room (find out more about these in our article about online bingo variants). Gala have an ongoing daily free scratchcard promotion whereby two free scratchcards (1 x Roy’s Rolls and 1 x Buzzby) can be claimed on any day you play at least £5 on bingo. There is also a daily slots promotion; play £10 on bingo or slots to claim a free spin on the special Win-A-Spin slot. This gives out a guaranteed bonus of 20p – £50 for use on one of the six Gala Gold slots, with only a single playthrough requirement (and 7 day expiry).
A big promotion in the Chase bingo room runs until 25th February. Every Saturday at 10pm, the £5000 Final Chase game will play (the £5000 cash prize is for full house and there’s also £100 for 1L and £200 for 2L). 6 free tickets for this game can be claimed by any player who has won full house in the Chase room Monday – Friday, and then gone on to win a prize in the Chase feature round; as usual with this type of promotion players need to be in the room before and during the big game for their tickets to play. Tickets can also be bought for £2 each but there is only a 3 minute window in which to do this, just before the game starts – and either way, there is a limit of 6 tickets per player. In addition, all the free ticket holders each week will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip for themselves and a friend to a Chase quiz event (featuring the Chasers from the TV show) in either Manchester or London, with overnight hotel stay, travel expenses and spending money; there will be 6 winners each week, to be announced while the big game is taking place. There’s also another weekly The Chase prize draw with £5000 in cash plus 5 board games to be won each time ; each week until 26th February, players opt in by answering a Chase style quiz question and get one draw entry for each £10 played on the Chase slot or scratchcard. Players who enter the draw and don’t win anything receive a mystery slots bonus of up to £10 (with a 7 day expiry and 20 x wagering requirement).
Coral Bingo has many of the same extra features as Gala Bingo, including Coronation Street Bingo, Big Banker Bingo, Bingo Lotto , Coconut Island Bingo and Emmerdale Bingo and the side bet facility. The Chase Slot has arrived at Coral but the bingo variant has not as yet (if past form is anything to go by the bingo room will follow weeks or months later). Coral also has the regular Bingoal room at 5pm every Saturday and Sunday; this is 90 minutes of free 90 ball bingo with no entry restrictions, to play while watching (or instead of watching) the football (outside the football season as well). Each game pays £5 bingo bonus for 1L, £10 bingo bonus for 2L and £15 bingo bonus for FH – these bonuses can only be used to buy bingo tickets, and have to be used within 7 days, but apart from that there are no wagering requirements. The Month of Love is a Valentine’s Day themed promotion consisting of 10 free games in the Garland room from 9pm every Friday until 24th February; prizes include bingo bonuses, shopping vouchers and romantic gifts ranging from flowers and chocolates to a 2 night European break and players get 6 free tickets for each game for every £5 of cash play on bingo during the preceding 7 days (Friday – Thursday). There is a maximum of 120 free tickets per player per week. Coral also have the VIP For A Month promotion and this will run throughout 2017. Each month, a prize draw will take place for all players who have racked up £30 of cash play on bingo during the month, and 5 winners will receive a temporary upgrade for the following month to the Diamond VIP level (which includes weekly cashback and 2 x weekly £500 free bingo sessions).
One very special thing about Coral is the Coral Connect Card. This allows players to access any Coral product on any device (or in shop or by telephone) and to deposit and withdraw in cash at any Coral shop. This has been in place for some time but now Coral have gone further and introduced true omni-channel play on the Tiki Paradise slot, with extra features that are unlocked by playing on different channels or using Coral Connect.
Ladbrokes Bingo have a repeat of their semi-regular Bob’s Shed free bingo promotion, but this time it is tied to the network slots prize draw. £20 of cash play on the qualifying slots for the draw also gives access to the free bingo room the following day; it is open from 5.30pm every day until 27th February for 20 games with £500 cash to be won altogether.
William Hill Bingo have a new and exclusive bingo variant on site, via the HTML5 lobby only. Bingo Bowl is a 50 ball game themed on a bowling alley; the 10 numbers appear on bowling pins. As well as a room jackpot for winning full house in 15 calls, there is a bonus game called the Kingpin Jackpot. This consists of a separate card which is marked off whenever someone wins bingo on one of the remaining numbers; there’s a fixed prize of £5 for any number and a progressive jackpot for completing the card. Love Shack is a free bingo promotion that runs Monday – Thursday every week in February; to gain entry to the £500 free bingo room (which is open for an hour at lunchtime and another hour in the early evening) players need to play just £5 cash on bingo the day before. The prizes in the free room are bingo bonus with a single playthrough requirement. Everyone’s A Winner runs every weekend (Friday – Sunday) in February. The special games run every hour 11am – 7pm, then continuously from 8pm – 11pm; each game has a cash sharepot to be split between the tickets held by non winning players (to qualify, players must buy at least 6 tickets).
Betfred Bingo is another Playtech / Virtue Fusion bingo site with only occasional exclusives but what they do have (as well as their own bingo rooms and the new HTML5 bingo lobby) is the mother of all welcome bonus offers including a bingo bonus, a slots bonus, a casino bonus and a Lotto free bet.
Literally hundreds of bingo sites, on several different networks, use the 888/Dragonfish platform but all have 888 UK Limited as the licence holder. Sometimes 888 run big link games which join together different networks; a series of big games each with a £200,000 prize fund ran at almost all 888 sites in 2015 and early 2016 and following this, a big link 90 ball bingo room was run as a special daily promotion for August 2016. This was done without any guaranteed prizes whatsoever but the sheer number of players ensured that the prize money was always attractive, and it proved so popular that the promotion was indefinitely extended, the first game each evening was given a £1000 guaranteed prize fund, and a 75 ball room was added. Both these rooms are currently a nightly fixture at many (but not all) 888 sites, and some others have the 90 ball room only.
Another thing and rather less welcome thing that an increasing number of 888 sites (eventually, probably all of them) have in common is a restriction on what can be won when playing with a slots bonus, whether this is a deposit bonus, a free bonus or the winnings from free spins; unless they are lucky enough to win a progressive jackpot, the maximum the player can cash out is £400 plus the value of the original bonus.
The Ignite network (owned by Canadian iGaming giant Intertain who also own Jackpot Joy) includes Costa Bingo and several others. It is well known for its inventive promotions, but some of the sites are much better for promotions than others. No-deposit bonuses and automatic reload bonuses are on offer at many of the sites on this network and another feature which is good for fair play is that most of the regular bingo rooms have a lower than usual maximum purchase of 24 or 48 cards.
Ignite sites now offer players the choice of the classic bingo lobby or a tablet style lobby. The second option brings the tablet (and mobile) version of the bingo platform to the desktop and the reason this has been done is almost certainly because Google Chrome is phasing out Flash, which is needed for the classic lobby but not the tablet version (tablets and mobiles have not supported Flash for some time, or not at all in the case of Apple devices). The Chrome browser will soon auto-disable Flash and although it is possible to re-enable it for specific sites players may find it easier just to switch to the tablet lobby.
Ignite have a cross-brand rewards scheme, the Diamond Club, which allows players to collect Diamonds at one site (through play or via special promotions) and redeem them at another, although in order to have the full range of redemption options it is necessary to reach the higher levels of the loyalty scheme which is determined by lifetime deposits. The only options for those with deposits of less than £50 are deposit bonus codes and cards to special prize games, which run once or twice a month at some of the sites; the prizes are typically worth around £500 and as well as selling the cards for 10 Diamonds each, the sites give free cards to players who complete certain specified tasks (usually depositing and/or playing) during the promo period. Cards also go on sale for £2 or £5 cash each but this is extremely poor value considering the excessively large number of cards that are usually in play for these games).
The Ignite sites each have their own bingo rooms and chat, but the free bingo rooms (some of which are open to all) are networked and so are most of the jackpot games (each site has at least one of these each evening). Apart from at Fancy Bingo – where almost all games are penny bingo – the only penny bingo at these sites comes in the form of a network 90 ball game which runs 6 times a day (at most but not all sites) with a £25/£15/£10 prize split, and a 75 ball game for funded players (again shared between several sites) on Wednesday or Saturday evening for £50 cash or a tangible prize, depending on which site you play from.
A big signature promotion at Ignite is a weekly free sliding jackpot game for the week’s depositors (6 cards can be claimed on the day of the game by those who have made a deposit in the last 7 days). There are two versions of this, one on Fridays and one on Sundays; most sites have one or the other but a couple have neither and a few have both. As sliding jackpots go the Friday night game is certainly one of the better ones as the £10,000 cash headline prize does not start to slide until the ball count (in a 75 ball coverall game) gets higher than 44 and for the prize to go all the way down to the baseline guaranteed £1000, bingo would have to be in a very slow 70 calls. Since it is not unusual for this particular game to have 20,000 or more cards in play it is extremely unlikely that the game would last that long. It also has additional prizes; 1TG players share £1000 bonus and 2TG players share £2000 bonus. Compared to this, the Sunday night game is rather poor; the ball count required to win the £5000 jackpot is ludicrously low at 29 calls, the baseline £500 is for bingo in 51 or more calls and there’s nothing for 1TG or 2TG. Of course it is still worth claiming the free cards for the Sunday game whenever you happen to have made the necessary deposit at a site that offers it.
The playing card based bingo variant Bingo Vegas (the same game already seen at Foxy and 888 Ladies) was launched at Costa last summer and has since also appeared at other sites including Sing Bingo, City Bingo and recent launch Kingdom of Bingo. A speed version of the same game which has been in the pipeline for months has finally arrived but it is on mobile only; desktop players have something new as well in the form of a free Bingo Vegas room at Costa which is open from 6pm till midnight.
Costa Bingo was the first site in the group to open way back in 2009. It remains the busiest of them all with the largest number of bingo rooms to choose from, runs the most promotions and was the original home of the Friday sliding jackpot game which it still runs. Free Spin Frenzy is a 5 line game that runs every Sunday evening; cards are 5p and as the name suggests the prizes are free spins (100 per line). Free-bruary is a 75 ball game to be played on 2nd March; the prize is a cash refund of the player’s February deposits up to £500 (so no point playing if you aren’t planning to deposit much during February!) Cards cost the usual £5 or 10 Diamonds and players can also collect one free card for each £20 played on slots. Kitchen Capers is a 90 ball game scheduled for 28th February with a washer-dryer, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer to be won (all by Indesit). Cards cost a slightly more reasonable £2 or 10 Diamonds and free cards can be collected until 27th February at the rate of one per £10 of cash play on bingo. Costa also have a speed bingo promotion running from 22nd February – 1st March. The 75 ball games have a 5p card price and play from 5pm – 6pm and 8pm – 9pm every day; cards are restricted to 6 per player and the £15 prize is for 1 line only.
At Treasure Bingo the regular Truth or Dare deposit bonus promotion runs most weeks. Each week, for a deposit of £10 – £100, the TRUTH code and the DARE code can be used once each. TRUTH awards a specified bonus and DARE awards a mystery bonus. The TRUTH bonus until 26th February is 75%, so it could be a week to go for DARE. Gadget Galleon is a 90 ball game to be played on 28th February. The prizes are an Xbox One for FH, a Samsung Galaxy tablet for 2L and a Kindle Paperwhite for 1L. Cards cost £5 or 10 Diamonds and until 27th February players can collect 1 free card for each £10 played on bingo, 1 free card for each £20 played on slots and 3 free cards for each £20 played on the featured slots Aztec Rising. Titanic and Monkey Paradise. Treasure has both Friday and Sunday sliding jackpot games for depositors.
The Wish Bingo weekly prize games are called Wishing Well and they run in the Wednesday time slot; Febuary’s prizes include a shiatsu massage pillow and a Marc Jacobs perfume miniatures set. Lounging Around is a 90 ball game to be played on 28th February with a laptop for FH, a 3DS for 2L and a soundbar and subwoofer for 1L. Free cards can be collected until 26th February via slots play only – 1 card for every £20 played or 2 cards if on the three featured slots Esqueleto Explosivo, Titanic and Foxin’ Wins. They can also be bought for £2 or 10 Diamonds.
At City Bingo the promotions are themed round a different city each month and this month City Cat is in Paris. The Catwalk Collection 90 ball game plays on 28th February and the prizes are French Connection vouchers split £250/£150/£100. Until 27th February players can collect free cards but in a departure from the normal arrangements the only way to do so is via slots play – 1 card for each £30 played. Cards are also on sale for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The weekly prize games are called City Souvenirs and run in the Wednesday time slot; this month’s prizes are all bottles of perfume. City is one of the sites to have a regular chat tourney, which runs for an hour at a time in a different room and at a different time of day every weekday. It is unlike the usual sort of chat tourney in that instead of getting points for winning bingo, you get them for shouting out a city themed catchphrase (this month it is FANCY) when your lucky number is called. You then get to pick a grid number to see what your score is and the two players with the highest score at the end of the hour win 2500 Diamonds each. City Bingo has the Sunday version of the weekly sliding jackpot game (and in fact was its original home). Guess The City is back on site until 28th February, and as usual it offers the opportunity to win a share of 250,000 Diamonds for correctly predicting City Cat’s next port of call; it is bound to be somewhere that ties in with St Patrick’s day, but will it be the obvious choice – Dublin – or somewhere more adventurous?
Rio Bingo has weekly prize games in the Saturday time slot, called Gift Shop. February’s prizes are items of jewellery, all with a heart design . Flippin’ Mad is a 90 ball game to be played on 28th February; it is themed on Pancake Day and the prizes are a Le Creuset pan set for FH, £150 Tesco voucher for 2L and 63 piece crockery set for 1L . Cards cost £2 or 10 Diamonds, and free cards can be collected until 26th February by depositing and/or playing slots – players get one card for each £20 deposited or played. The Rio Slots Carnival is on site from 24th February – 2nd March and in a departure from the usual leaderboard style slot promotion, there is a sharepot of 30,000 Diamonds every day for all funded players who complete £10 of play on the slot of the day.
At Sing Bingo the musical theme for February is not the usual single artist or band, but love songs in general. Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing is a 75 ball game to be played on 28th February with a TV and Freeview box to be won. The only way to get free cards for this game is by depositing – 1 card per £10 deposited until 27th February – and as usual they are also on sale for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The weekly prize games are called TFI Friday and as you’d expect they run in the Friday time slot. The cards are a bit more expensive at 5p as compared to the Wednesday and Saturday games at other sites but the prizes tend to be better as well. February’s prizes include a Veuve Clicquot gift set and a giant teddy bear. Sing has a regular chat tourney which runs for 2 hours each day Monday – Friday (a different room and time each day, details on site). Win bingo and you get 250 Sing Points for yourself and 250 for a funded roomie of your choice, plus 1 tourney point for your team and the chance to win another team point by answering a trivia question correctly. The team with the most points at the end of the 2 hours win 5000 Sing Points each (you do need to stay in the room for at least 90 minutes, and until the end of the session, to get them). Sing also has Jukebox Jumble, a free game that can be played once a day for 7 days after depositing £5 or more and pays out bonus codes, free spins, Sing Points and so forth.
Fancy Bingo is a penny bingo site and most of the regular games have 1p tickets; that is its USP. Handbag Heartthrob is Fancy’s next big game; it is a 75 ball game scheduled for 28th February and the prize is a handbag and purse by Michael Kors. Free cards to this game can be collected by playing slots (5 card for every £10 of slots cash play until 27th February) – or buy for £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The weekly prize games are called Fancy That and play on Saturday nights, priced at 1p or 2p. February’s prizes include a light up “Love” sign and a Pandora charm necklace. The sliding jackpot at Fancy is the Sunday version of the game, with the slight difference that players have to have funded their account in the previous 4 days to qualify (rather than the previous 7 days as at other sites), and there’s also a free daily game, Tea Party, for recent depositors similar to that at other sites in the group but again, the period for which it can be played following a deposit is 4 days rather than 7.
At Monkey Bingo, the weekly prize games are called Monkey Nuts and run in the Wednesday slot. February’s prizes include a £50 Ann Summers voucher and Dolce & Gabbana perfume. Jungle Scrums is a 90 ball game on 28th February (loosely themed on the Six Nations) with Dior sunglasses, an Armani Exchange watch and a GHD styler to be won. Players can collect free cards until 27th February, but as in the similar game at City Bingo the only way to get them is via slots play – and it also has to be on the three featured slots Monkey Paradise, Fruit Abduction and Fur Ball. 3 cards are awarded for each £20 played. Cards are also on sale for the usual £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. The sliding jackpot at Monkey is the Sunday version.
The Christmas themed Season Bingo is still running specials even though the festive season is well and truly over. Santa’s Cash Cupid is a 90 ball game scheduled for February 28th with a straightforward £500 cash to be won (split £250/£150/£100). Until 26th February players collect one free card for each £20 played on slots (2 cards for £20 played on the featured Christmas themed slots), and cards can also be bought for the usual £2 cash or 10 Diamonds. Season also has the Friday £10K sliding jackpot game and a daily free game, Pick A Present, for players who have deposited in the last 7 days.
Crocodile Bingo also has the Friday £10K sliding jackpot game and daily free game (Crocodile Dentist) for players who have deposited in the last 7 days, with prizes of bonuses, loyalty points, Diamonds, free spins or even cash.
The less popular Mandalay sites Sparkly Bingo, Bingola , Angry Bingo, Farmyard Bingo and Giant Bingo haven’t run prize games for quite some time but still run a few shared regular network promotions (including the £5K Sunday sliding jackpot). Dino Bingo and Frozen Bingo rarely run prize games but have both Friday and Sunday versions of the sliding jackpot game.
Two Ignite owned sites launched last year, Deep Sea Bingo and Sweet Shop Bingo, which aren’t part of this network but are on the main Dragonfish network instead, with the Dragonfish network rooms (including the big link rooms, which aren’t available on the Ignite network) and promotions and no exclusives. What they do have, though, is the Diamond Club – so Diamonds from other sites can be redeemed for bonuses there, and Diamonds earned at Deep Sea or Sweet Shop can be used for bonuses and prize game tickets at the other sites.
The most recent additions, fairytale themed Kingdom of Bingo and 80s themed Rewind Bingo, see a return to the Ignite network but without any special prize games. Kingdom has the Friday and Sunday night sliding jackpot games as well as the new Bingo Vegas variant. Rewind just has the Friday sliding jackpot, but from 20th – 26th February it also has an exclusive slots leaderboard promotion, the Wacky Slots Race. As usual with this type of promotion, players score one point for each £1 played on slots; the top 30 win free spins on Kingdom of Cash (ranging from 100 for 1st place down to 15 for 21st – 30th) and everyone else who scores 20 points or more wins 5 free spins on the same slot. In all cases the free spins have a 7 day expiry and winnings are capped at £1 x the number of free spins won.
The Tarco/Netboost network is powered by Dragonfish and the licence holder is 888 UK Limited, but the network and all the sites on it are actually owned by Daub Alderney (of Kitty Bingo fame).
This network has two USPs. The first is complicated welcome bonus offers that include everything but the kitchen sink – bingo bonus, slots bonus, free bingo tickets, free spins and a spin the wheel game – and good examples of this are found at Gossip Bingo (where there is currently a special offer with a massive 100 free spins included) and the newest site on the network Ted Bingo. Not all the sites have this type of offer though; Robin Hood Bingo and Tip Top Bingo for instance have plain but generous bingo bonus offers. Other Netboost sites include Loony Bingo, Sugar Bingo, Moon Bingo, Polo Bingo and Cupcake Bingo.
The other USP is sliding jackpots, of which there are many, some once a month and some every day.
One such game is Super Millionaire which plays on the third Saturday of the month and offers the (extremely remote) possibility of winning a million pounds (you would have to bingo in a stupendously unlikely 24 calls to win it). Cards to Super Millionaire cost £1 and the baseline prize is £1000 (for 35 calls or more). If you would prefer something cheaper there is Penny Bonanza on the third Wednesday of the month with cards at just 1p and prizes for 1TG and 2TG; the guaranteed coverall prize is £300 with £5000 up for grabs should bingo be called sufficiently quickly (29 calls) . A third sliding jackpot game with 30p cards plays every Saturday (again, with 29 calls the magic number to snag the £10,000 headline prize).
Currently the network has three daily sliding jackpot games.
The Daily Grand runs every night at 10pm with cards priced at a hefty £2; while this sounds expensive compared to the other sliding jackpot games, the £1000 is paid out if someone wins in 47 calls or fewer and although this is still pretty unlikely it is several orders of magnitude less unlikely than someone winning one of the other headline prizes. At 48 calls the jackpot slides to £800 and continues to slide until it reaches the guaranteed £100 at 62 (or more) calls. There’s also £50 to be shared by 1TG and another £50 to be shared by 2TG players.
The Power Penny runs every evening at 11pm. As you’d expect, cards for this 75 ball game cost 1p each (and at that price, there are probably tens of thousands of cards in play each time). The headline prize is £250 but for anyone to win this they would have to get a coverall in 35 calls; 57 calls or more and the winner gets the guaranteed £25 only.
The £777 Lucky Jackpot runs every evening at 20.30. This has a rather expensive ticket price of £1 (but plenty of free tickets are being given away as part of welcome bonus offers and in chat games) and unusually for a sliding jackpot it is a 90 ball game. 1L can win up to £77, 2L up to £200 and FH up to £500 but as yet, there are no details on site as to when the jackpot slides. The guaranteed prize fund is £77 and there’s an additional £10 to be split by 1TG tickets, and £15 to be split by 2TG tickets.
Cheap and Cheerful is a BOGOF type network promotion which applies to the six 3p games every day with a fixed £50 jackpot. In order to get free tickets, however, players have to buy 12 strips, which is 72 tickets; they then receive another 4 strips free to make the total up to the maximum 96 tickets at a total cost of £2.16.
A Month of Bingo Lovin’ runs for the whole of February and consists of a different bingo offer each day, to be announced by pop-up, on social media, via chat etc. On the 1st, for instance, the offer was for a sharepot of loyalty coins; to qualify players needed to hold at least two cards to a heart pattern bingo game that was won on an even number.
Most Netboost sites now have the new network VIP scheme, Diamond Club (not to be confused with the Ignite Diamond Club). This invitation only scheme has four levels (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond) with a fast track to membership for players who have VIP membership elsewhere.
The network also runs both of the 888 big link bingo rooms under the name Linked and Loaded.
The main Dragonfish network includes both independently owned sites such as Circus Bingo and its sister sites Pixie Bingo and Oink Bingo, and house owned sites such as Celeb Bingo, Spy Bingo and Easter Bingo. The advantage of choosing a house owned site – apart from the reassurance of dealing with such a huge and well known operator – is that they are very unlikely to opt out of any of the network promotions. Independently owned sites do opt out from time to time; several, for instance, did not run the massively networked £200K jackpot games last year and many of them do not offer the million pound sliding jackpot games. Another difference is in the range of slots on offer. On the other hand, some of the independently owned sites have exclusive bingo rooms and promotions which can’t be found elsewhere on the network – for example, the aforementioned Circus Bingo has the Pablo’s Nuts bonus game, a £1000 free monthly game for depositors, and a weekly sliding jackpot with the (albeit very tiny) chance of winning a holiday in Las Vegas.
Perhaps the most radically different independently owned site is the recently launched Blighty Bingo, which has the USP of not having any wagering requirements; the flipside of that is that they do not give out any bingo bonuses in the normal sense of the word. The welcome offer consists of some free spins and £70 worth of tickets to one of the network Sure Win games (credited the next day). Normally we would regard free bingo tickets to a specific game as a very poor substitute for a bingo bonus, but because the Sure Win games include a community jackpot for losing tickets, these tickets are guaranteed to return at least something. The site also gives out one or more free spins every day (depending on loyalty level).
To take full advantage of all the bingo rooms on the Dragonfish network players need to be frequent depositors as several of the rooms (including all of the free rooms) have an entry condition whereby a deposit must have been made in the last 7 days. Depositing regularly is beneficial for the loyalty scheme as well, as loyalty level is reset every month and depends on how much was deposited during the previous month. The benefits include a modest bonus back on losses, free slots spins and free tickets to the monthly Big £10K community jackpot game; a single deposit of the minimum the site allows during the month is enough to qualify for the lowest level of these benefits but to get the maximum you’ll need to deposit £200 or more. The Big £10K itself typically has over 15,000 players and although £10K sounds a lot, the line and full house prizes are only £250, £500 and £750 as a result of most of the prize money being split between 1TG (£2000), 2TG (£1500) and all remaining tickets (£5000). If you don’t qualify for free tickets for the Big £10K they can be bought for £10 each but it is hard to see why anyone would want to do this when they could deposit the £10, get 2 free tickets and then be able to play the £10 (plus any associated bonus) elsewhere on site!
The Dragonfish network sites also continue to run the 888 big link bingo rooms, under the names 90s Extreme and Big Fat 10.
Dragonfish sites do not normally have any penny bingo apart from Late Night Show once a day. This 90 ball room is for night owls only as the game runs at quarter to one in the morning UK time. Prebuy is not available until 15 minutes before the game starts and is restricted to 75 players all of whom must buy 96 tickets (at 1p each). The game has cash prizes of £50 for FH, £30 for 2L and £20 for 1L.
There are several smaller groups of sites within the network, running promotions between their own sites only, but the downside of this is that as previously mentioned they may be missing some of the network rooms and promotions.
8 Ball Games run a sizeable portfolio of Dragonfish powered bingo sites including Bingo Irish, We Want Bingo, Glitter Bingo and the more recent launches Pet Shop Bingo and Brown Cow Bingo They have a number of non network rooms and promotions and which ones are available varies from site to site. There’s also an exclusive VIP loyalty scheme which adds various enhancements to the network scheme (including reload bonuses and reduced wagering requirements). The non network rooms are typically open for an hour at the same time each week, some requiring a recent deposit and some open to all. One important difference between 8 Ball sites and other Dragonfish network sites is that many of the 8 Ball sites have a no deposit offer; at some sites this is a set amount and at others it is a mystery bonus that is guaranteed to be at least £5 but could be much more. Two Weeks of Treats runs at the 8 Ball sites from 1st – 14th March and there will be a different offer each day – mostly bonus codes but also including free spins, a prize draw for £100 cash and a £500 jackpot bingo room.
The Silverspin group of sites which inlcudes Candy Shop Bingo, Lucky Charm Bingo, Bubble Bonus Bingo, and a few others has two shared 90 ball bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds (3 hours in the afternoons) and Big Night In (4 hours in the evenings). Many of the sites also have the Wacky Wings room (originally a Butterfly Bingo exclusive) which runs a different promotion every evening and from 24th February – 5th March, the Wacky Wings party is on; this offers an extra prize (free spins, cash, or a tangible prize) for bingo in 54 or fewer calls every evening apart from Wednesday and Friday, which have guaranteed prizes (of £75 or £100) instead. Occasionally they have shared promotions such as slots tournaments and special bingo games, but they are missing quite a lot of the Dragonfish network promotions and bingo rooms (for instance, they do not have the million pound sliding jackpot games, the Weekender room, Bounce’T or the Sunny 90s network 90 ball room). They have the standard network loyalty scheme and network wagering requirements (but very annoyingly they lack the screen showing wagering progress). Each of these sites also has a bonus game or regular prize draw promotion but the prizes aren’t anything special.
Iceland Bingo used to be part of this group and run the same promotions but after the sale of the rest of the sites to one buyer and Iceland to another it has separate promotions that are MUCH better than the promotions at the Silverspin bingo sites. It still has the shared bingo rooms, Pennies Make Pounds and Big Night In, but also has the exclusive Freezer room, a monthly prize draw room and two special bingo games every evening (Monday – Friday) where the prizes are free slots spins (100 for FH, 30 for 2L and 20 for 1L). One of these games is themed on the Fluffy Favourites slots and one on Twinkle; in both cases cards are 20p and players can collect one free card for each £20 of play on the corresponding slot. The free spins that can be won are on Fluffy Too and Twinkle respectively and winnings are paid as slots bonus.
Iceland have also announced an absolutely HUGE game to be played at 8pm on 17th April. It is a 90 ball game with £10,000 in holiday vouchers up for grabs – £5000 for FH, £3000 for 2L and £2000 for 1L. The game will be followed by an after party until 10pm, comprising 10 games with full house prizes of a £500 holiday voucher, plus further chat games. Tickets are on sale now and until 31st January they cost 50p each; they were going to go up to £1 each on 1st February but the sale price has now been extended until the end of February.
The Joy of Bingo network includes 888Ladies, Wink Bingo, Red Bus Bingo, and Posh Bingo (as well as a few others). They share a VIP scheme and some games, mostly the free bingo, which includes some that is open to all players regardless of whether they have made a recent deposit. The best of the free games is on Sunday evenings and only available on mobile and tablet; it used to be networked across all the sites as a 75 ball game with a £250 prize but it seems that 888 Ladies now has its own 90 ball version (with a £200 prize fund). These sites all also have the 888 big link 90 ball room under the name Stack Up and the big link 75 ball room under the name Unwind (at some of the sites these are only available on mobile).
888 Ladies and Wink have a jackpot game called Payday £3000 which is played on the final Friday of each month; it is a 90 ball game with 10p tickets and prizes down to 2TG. Payday £1500 is a similar game with smaller prizes and 5p tickets, which plays at the other sites on the network.
The 888 Catwalk is a series of jackpot games at 888 Ladies to tie in with London Fashion Week. The games on 19th and 26th February and 5th March have a 10p card price and a prize of a £200 M&S voucher, and the other three games have cash prizes, the biggest prize fund being £1000 in total for the 5 line game on 4th March which has a card price of 20p.
Wink also have a series of jackpot games, themed on the TV and film awards season. Still to play is a 5 line game with a £2000 prize fund and 25p card price on 26th February.
To claim a redeposit bonus at Joy of Bingo sites a code has to be entered and these are usually sent out via email each weekend. Until the end of the month players at Wink get a spin on the Wink Wheel every time they deposit using code SPIN; this awards free spins or bonus.
Bingo Hollywood is Dragonfish powered and on a network of its own. They usually run at least one exclusive bingo promotion every month. This month it is called Love Is In The Air. The aim is to win a 90 ball full house on number 14 and additionally this has to be in a hosted room with the player in the chat from the start of the game. The player must shout LOVE in the chat and make a claim by email to receive a mystery prize. Those who enjoy pattern bingo are still catered for by the regular monthly Paparazzi Points promotion; players score points when they bingo on the pattern of the month (Heart for February). 1st on the leaderboard at the end of the month wins £100 bingo bonus, 2nd wins £75 bingo bonus and 3rd wins £50 bingo bonus. Blockbuster Bingo is Bingo Hollywood’s big monthly game. It is a 75 ball sliding jackpot game with a card price of 50p and a headline prize of £10K which will be won if the coverall is completed in an extremely unlikely 32 or fewer calls. The baseline prize of £2000 is for 51 or more calls. February’s chat tourney is called The Oscars and follows the usual rules, running on weekend evenings from 7pm -11pm in a different featured room each weekend evening (alternating between 75 and 90 ball); every team wins loyalty points with the lion’s share (1 million points) going to the top team, but to win the full prize you have to play 100 games or more over the weekend. Play 50-99 and you get half the prize, play 49 or fewer and you just get 1000 loyalty points. Slots tourneys also run regularly and February’s runs for the whole month on the Black Widow slot, with 1 leaderboard point awarded for each £10 played. There are real cash prizes of £50 – £250 for 1st – 10th and casino bonus prizes of £50 – £250 for 11th – 20th, and all 20 winners also get 50 free spins on Black Widow.
The 888 big link 90 ball games have an extra feature at Bingo Hollywood. Players who win FH, also win 1000 loyalty points for each gold ball (73 – 90) that is called before 1L is completed in the next game. At the end of the evening the player who wins the most loyalty points in this way wins an extra £20 bingo bonus.
Bingo Hollywood now has Snap – the game otherwise known as Flash Fives or Bingo Vegas – but because the site is not on the main network, the room frequently does not have enough players for the games to run.
Cashcade sites such as Foxy Bingo also use the Dragonfish software on a standalone network but very disappointingly these days their promotions seem to be all about getting players to spend money on the slots. A new welcome offer and some other big changes are allegedly coming in March and judging by Foxy’s Facebook page he may be about to have a sex change (!) but although this will no doubt get everyone talking about the fox, what is really needed to get players back into this site is some better promotions for players.
Microgaming bingo sites have very little in the way of interesting promotions these days. One unique thing about the Microgaming platform is that it is the home of Immortal Romance Bingo, a bingo variant themed on the hugely popular slot – but apart from that, there is not much that is special about the network itself. Rumour has it, however, that an upgrade is to take place in the not too distant future.
Dream Bingo used to run lots of exclusive promotions and had several non network bingo rooms, but now (apart from the occasional slots promotion) it only has the network rooms and promotions (which are hardly ever changed) and is looking rather neglected. If you just want the network stuff 32 Red is looking like a better site to play at now as it still has a small no deposit bonus.
Butlers Bingo and its sister sites which include the Irish charity bingo site Rehab Bingo do have two exclusive bingo rooms. The Broadway Room is a standalone 90 ball room open in the afternoons and evenings offering a variety of jackpots and in the Spinner Room (open in the evenings), you can win free spins on specified slots; these rooms are clearly popular with players and led to Butlers winning an award for best Microgaming bingo site. Free spins are also frequently part of the sign-up offer (and unlike their other promotions this is changed semi regularly). Over the last few months some extra jackpots have been added in the Broadway room, but these are mostly multi-level room jackpots rather than guaranteed prizes for specific games. The Broadway sites are also quite active on social media and put promotions such as prize draws out that way.
For Valentine’s Day, a cracking new Microgaming slot came out – Secret Romance.
Two UK bingo sites run on this software. The USP of Bingocams is the integration of webcams into the software allowing players to see each other and the chat host – although it is perfectly possible to play without a cam and many do. Live Win Moments are cam footage of someone winning FH and there are occasionally prizes in connection with these. Bright Bingo is the same platform but with the cams given little prominence.
At Bingocams the Big Bang progressive jackpot was finally won in September, after taking over a year to climb to around the £22,000 mark, and was then won again only a week later at little more than its seed value of £5000! It is now over £8000. Win by getting a 90 ball full house in 32 or fewer balls, or a 75 ball coverall in 42 or fewer balls in any of their rooms, any time; anyone who has made a deposit in the last 3 months is eligible. There are also a number of room jackpots; these are much smaller and easier to win, dropping at 40 balls in 90 ball and 48 balls in 75 ball.
February is Bingocams Birthday Month (they are 6 years old). To get entry into the £1000 birthday party room on 28th February, players need to collect 6 candles (1 candle = deposit and play £10 all on one day). There’s also a month-long Live Win Moment contest, with £10 bingo bonus and entry into a £100 cash draw for selected birthday themed LWMs, and £1 bonus for birthday card themed avatars. Further promotions will appear on Facebook and in chat.
Bright Bingo‘s progressive jackpot is called Money Mountain and last year it was won (at over £20,000) for only the second time ever. It is now just over £10,000. Win by getting a full house in a 90 ball room in 32 balls or fewer, or by getting a coverall in a 75 ball room in 42 balls or fewer (and as at the sister site, you need to have made a deposit in the last 3 months to be eligible). Bright Bingo also used to have monthly special events but nothing has been announced to follow Win A Wage (which ran for 3 months in the autumn).
There are only a handful of Gamesys sites left now following the departure of Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo to Virtue Fusion last summer. They have Super Links network games with £20K guaranteed prizes every day and are very good sites to play at if you enjoy prize draw promotions but are no more than a modest spender, because Gamesys rules on prize draws almost always allow only one entry per player per day. The Gamesys platform, however, is very much geared towards desktop play with only a restricted selection of mobile bingo rooms available.
Heart Bingo have introduced some extra guaranteed prizes into their bingo schedule and also have Sugar Rush; this regular promotion (which started back in October) awards a percentage boost to every prize in the Candy Club room between 11am and noon; the percentage boost is different every day (and announced each day on the promo page) but always between 10% and 100%. Top of the Charts is a bingo team tournament and to participate, players first have to pick a team to join from a choice of 4; this has to be done between 20th and 23rd February. The tournament itself takes place from 24th – 26th and whenever a player wins a 90 ball bingo game they score 1 point for their team. The team with the most points wins a sharepot of £5000, 2nd place a sharepot of £2000 and 3rd and 4th places sharepots of £1000 each, but to qualify for a share players need to complete £10 of cash play on 90 ball bingo during the promo period. Wild Adventure is a slots promotion running from 20th – 24th February; to participate, players need to opt in and then play £30 or more on the Queen of the Tree Folk slot. This gets them an entry into the prize draw to win a treehouse holiday for 4 people complete with spending money, and all participants also get 25% cashback (up to £20) on losses (minimum payout £1). Turn It Up is an escalating cashback on slots losses promotion, on site from 24th – 28th February. To qualify, opt in and play £30 on slots; this all has to be done on the same day and can be done once a day. The maximum cashback is £30, but the percentage received depends on the number of days on which the player participates – from 10% for 1 day up to 30% for all 5 days.
At Virgin Games the focus is definitely on slots rather than bingo, with most of the promotions being to do with slots or poker. The V10 promotion from the last couple of months is being run again in February; as previously the top prize is a luxury trip to Las Vegas for 4 including £6000 spending money! To unlock this prize requires a massive community effort – players collect draw entries and score community points by visiting the site every day and playing a minimum of 1p (one draw entry and one community point for doing this just once). Playing on 2 or 3 days in the month earns 2 or 3 draw entries and 4 community points – but playing on all 28 days in the month earns the maximum of 275 entries and 225 community points. Community points fill the community meter and there are 10 levels for it to rise through, each of which unlocks a community award (e.g. extra V* points) or a prize draw (these take place the day after they are unlocked). For all 7 prize draws including the one with the Las Vegas trip prize to take place, all 10 levels have to be completed, but this was done in both December and January so there is every reason to suppose it will happen again this time. The Chat-10 is an accompanying chat promotion that runs for four hours each day and every time the V10 goes up a level, so do the chat game prizes.
Virgin Games have another prize draw promotion this week – Tech You Out. The draws take place every day from 20th – 26th February, with a different tech gadget to be won each time; to enter, opt in and play £10 on bingo or poker, £30 on slots or £50 on casino. Also running from 20th – 26th is Bingo Extra; each day, three games will be announced in chat as bonus games (as ticket sales open) and in thses games, all line and FH winners will win an extra prize of a £50 shopping voucher.
Jackpot Joy also have a range of exclusive promotions including a monthly £13,000 bingo game and frequent sharepots.
The big news at Jumpman powered sites remains the arrival at the end of November of a lot of new slots – not just the Pariplay slots (Magical Forest etc) that we were expecting, but also a selection of Net Ent slots including Starburst, Guns N Roses and Koi Princess.
15 Network is the original Jumpman powered bingo network and usually has one main network promotion. For the past few months this has been a weekly prize draw and February is no exception. There is a Hotel Chocolat hamper and 50 x £5 slots bonus to be won each week and players get one entry for each £10 played on Doctor Love or Cupid’s Arrow.
Tuesday Treasure is a free bingo game that plays across the network on the second Tuesday of every month. The room is now open for 14th March. All funded players can claim up to 96 free tickets and the prize split is FH £400, 2L £200, 1L £160 and £80 each for 1TG, 2TG and 3TG. In previous months there have been up to 200,000 tickets in play, so each ticket only has a very small chance of winning – but it’s free, so well worth claiming max tickets.
Film Bingo usually runs an exclusive leaderboard style event every month, and for February this is called Romcom Winathon. The prize is a DVD player and 4 romantic comedy DVDs. Score points for a deposit of £20 (10 points), a full house win on number 14 (5 points), a win on the loveheart or letter L pattern (10 points) or £20 of cash play on Guns ‘N’ Roses (10 points).
Bingo Minions usually have a prize draw and for February the prize is a Baylis and Harding gift set including a pink fun fur hot water bottle cover. Get one draw entry for each £10 deposited in February.
Clucky Bingo are running a two-part prize draw promotion very similar to the one they had last month. The promotion runs until 21st February and to enter Draw 1 (£100 Amazon voucher) players just need to register or log in at some point during the promotional period. Draw 2 is also for Amazon vouchers – £100 for first prize and £50 for second prize – and players get entries for this by making deposits (1 entry for each £10 deposited) and playing (1 entry for each £10 of cash play).
Rocket Bingo offer free bingo games without the requirement to have made a deposit in the preceding 7 days. There are a number of games with £1 prizes every day, a £10 game two evenings a week plus an hour of £10 free bingo games on Friday evenings.
The last few months have seen a change of ownership of the two 15 Network sites that used to have the biggest array of exclusive promotions and in both cases most of them have abruptly stopped running. Lollipop Bingo does have a February exclusive but not a very good one – it is a straightforward leaderboard race with 1 point awarded for each £10 of cash play on bingo and for each £20 of cash play on slots, with one prize of a filter coffee machine for the biggest spender. In the case of Tidy Bingo the promotions page hasn’t been updated since the end of July (and is still advertising promotions that have long since finished) but they do appear to be giving out extra bonuses via their Facebook page and it seems their exclusive bingo room will be reopening soon.
Back in 2015, a new network launched that also uses the Jumpman Gaming software – the Wheel of Slots network. As its name suggests this is aimed at those who like to play slots as well as bingo. There are NO bingo bonuses on offer at Wheel of Slots, just free spins on the likes of Fluffy Favourites, the best welcome offer being a guaranteed 50 free spins on Fluffy Favourites at Viking Bingo. Most of the Wheel of Slots sites run a regular Slot of the Week promotion; this consists of a prize draw with one entry given out per £20 played on the specified slot which is notified by email. The prize is a spin of the Winners Wheel (not the same as the regular wheel) which gives out 20 – 500 spins on Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Isis or Shaman’s Dream. The Wheel of Slots sites have a weekly Love or Loathe promotion this month with £2000 to be won altogether; the players who spend the most on Cupid’s Arrow (the Love slot) and Stampede (the Loathe slot) will win £50 cash (10 each week, presumably).
It is very rare for Wheel of Slots sites to have exclusive promotions, but this month Free Spirit Bingo have a prize draw with a Ghost Deep Night Eau de Toilette spray to be won; to enter, make a deposit of at least £10 during February. The newly launched Volcano Bingo is also poised to launch a special regular promotion in the very near future – a free bingo session every Monday evening.
The Live Bingo Network sites pretty well all have the same promotions. They include jackpot games with free tickets for depositors, a weekly/monthly slots tournament with casino bonus prizes for the top spenders and so on. Cozy also has the Best Bingo Network but apart from a slightly different welcome offer all the promotions and bingo rooms are an exact copy of those on the Live Bingo Network. Indeed, player numbers and prize amounts visible at sites on the two networks suggests that they now also have shared liquidity – which would mean they they are in effect one and the same network.
For February, most of the Cozy sites have another month-long promotional theme, the Be Our Valentine Special, but on close examination most of the promotions included are regular ones that have been around for months. They do seem to have added a few fixed pots (£25 or £30) but these are for insomniacs only as they run from 2am onwards.
Free bingo at Cozy is 50 ball only and in order to be allocated 10 free tickets you have to be in the bingo room just before the game plays – but if you are playing with a no deposit bonus you won’t be allowed to claim any tickets as it is only for funded players. Line and FH prizes are £1 and extra tickets can be bought for 1p each.
One advantage of Cozy sites is that almost all of them offer a no deposit bonus, but do be aware that it is NOT possible to win withdrawable cash with this (not directly anyway). Winnings from a no deposit bonus can only be carried forward as casino cash (a bit of a misnomer as it is not actually cash at all but a type of bonus that can be used on bingo or slots), capped at 100% of the value of the first deposit or £50 (whichever is smaller) and with a wagering requirement of 4x on bingo or 10x on slots – and this can only be done if the player accepts a bonus on their first deposit (thereby incurring a further wagering requirement). As if that wasn’t enough, Cozy have now put still further restrictions on bonuses in their terms and conditions (apparently not bothering to inform existing players). As usual with Cozy it has all been written in a particularly confusing style but what we THINK it means is this:
- The expiry on a deposit bonus has been cut to 14 days and all winnings as well as the bonus itself are removed if the wagering requirement has not been met in that time
- There is now a cap on what can be won when playing with a deposit bonus, of £500 or 10 x the bonus
- Unless otherwise specified the maximum bonus that can be claimed from any offer is £100
- Players with an active bonus are not allowed to play slots apart from Cozy own brand (so no Fluffy Favourites!)
- The only play that contributes to progressive jackpots is cash play with no wagering requirement pending
- If you play slots with bonus, the winnings are paid as bonus which cannot be converted to real money, and play with these bonus winnings does not count towards wagering requirements
- Accumulated winnings by “accounts that do not show any deposit (non depositing players)” are now capped at £100, with anything in excess of that confiscated. As this is also the case for winnings from free spins and free bingo tickets, and as there was already a provision for confiscating winnings from players who have never made a deposit, we think they may be referring to players who have run out of cash and only have bonus in their account
With all these new provisions – and the already existing provision that all bonuses are lost when any withdrawal is made regardless of whether the wagering requirements have been met – the huge bonuses that are Cozy’s USP are looking less and less attractive.
Alternatively there is Game Village which runs on Cozy software but is on its own Lucky Duck Network, so all the offers and jackpot games are exclusive to them and to a couple of other sites. They have a bewildering array of promotions, most of which change monthly, but to participate in the majority of them you need to have homeowner status which requires you to make three initial deposits and then deposit at least once every 30 days. Another potential pitfall is that for some of their promotions the prize will not be awarded automatically and you must contact them to claim it (assuming you even notice that you qualify), although they do seem to have kept this requirement to a minimum this month. The Charity Event is back for February, with all ticket monies going to the Lullaby Trust, but as it is one 50 minute stint of penny bingo in mid afternoon it is unlikely to amount to much; there is no information on site about charity donations in previous months.
Cozy sites launched in the last few months include Swanky Bingo , Sailor Bingo and Lucky Diner Bingo, which has something special to offer – a weekly exclusive bingo room with live chat host that they are broadcasting on a video stream! They also have a 24 hour jukebox including live radio shows. The live rooms are open to everyone who has deposited £10 or more in the preceding 7 days. Recent launch Igloo Bingo also has extras including a free bingo game every evening with a £10 prize fund.
Daub Alderney have four bingo sites which combine shared rooms and promotions with exclusive ones.
Kitty Bingo was the first site in the group to launch.
Lucky Pants Bingo generally runs promotions that are more geared towards slots – such as the Spin O Clock regular Tuesday promotion which gives out free spins in lieu of a deposit bonus. It is also possible to choose a slots bonus offer as a welcome offer (on your first three deposits) if that’s what you prefer. Lucky Pants now has NetEnt slots and the welcome offer has been tweaked so that the free spins are on these – Spinata Grande for the 20 free spins on registration and Spinata Grande, Koi Princess, Gonzo’s Quest or Starburst for the 100 free spins that are given out over the 5 days susbsequent to making a first deposit.
Bingo Extra‘s USP is the exclusive Extra Room where several different varieties of bingo are played and extra features and prizes are the order of the day.
Give Back Bingo is a recently launched charity bingo site. They say they will donate all bingo profits to the charity of the month and that the donations will be documented on a Just Giving page, but when this type of arrangement has been done at other charity bingo sites it has never worked well and it has rarely been clear how much has been donated to which charity – or indeed whether anything has. The profits from their opening month of December – £599.60 according to their blog – were to be donated to Shelter and they did have a Just Giving page for this but it was never updated to show the donation and now the page has been closed. For January, the record keeping improved and the donation of £634.48 to Alzheimer’s Society has been properly documented.
The regular Win-Win game runs on Wednesday evenings at 10pm. Cards for this 90 ball game cost 20p (cash only) and there is a £200 guaranteed prize fund. If you don’t win, you receive your stake money back as bingo bonus.
Weekly Shop plays every Tuesday night at 10pm and the prize in this 75 ball game, which has a card price of 5p, is a very useful £100 shopping vouchers.
Fiver Frenzy (known as the Playground at Bingo Extra) is a new 1p bingo game that plays twice a day at 1pm and 10pm; it is a 5 line game with £5 fixed prize per line.
On the last Friday of every month, the £10K Slider plays. This is a 5 line game with a card price of 20p and should the winner bingo in 45 or fewer calls they will take home the whole £10,000 jackpot (this is a considerably higher number of calls than the vast majority of sliding jackpot games at other sites – while it is still pretty unlikely that someone will actually win, it is a lot less unlikely than in similar games elsewhere). It starts to slide after that and when the ball count reaches 53 it reverts right back down to the guaranteed £400. Line prizes are £150 each and there is a card maximum of 72.
The three non charity sites usually run a promotion each week (generally differing from each other in name only) where depositing or playing Monday to Thursday generates a reward on the Friday. This week’s promotion (20th – 23rd) awards extra cashback on losses and as usual players have to opt in and deposit £20 to qualify for anything at all. At Kitty and Lucky Pants, £20 of play is then needed to get the lowest rate of 3% cashback up to £20; the next level of cashback (5% up to £50) requires £500 of play and to receive the top rate of 15% cashback up to £200, a meaty £10K worth of play is needed. At Bingo Extra the promotion is a bit more generous; just £5 of play attracts 5% cashback up to £20, the next level of 10% cashback up to £50 kicks in at £50 of play, and a mere £2K of play is needed to reach the top rate of 25% cashback up to £200. It should be noted, too, that this isn’t actually cash, but a “cash bonus” – with a 10x wagering requirement.
Maria used to be a Virtue Fusion bingo site but back in July 2015 they migrated to the brand new bingo platform from Relax Gaming and the whole site was given a radical makeover. Maria is basically a casino with bingo (quite a lot of bingo – there are 4 open access bingo rooms plus one daily rewards room which is more than you’ll find at many plain old bingo sites) and where it really excels is the slots. They have one of the best selections available at any bingo site and it can all be played with the same wallet; new slots are added very often and there are frequent cashback or free spins offer. The welcome offers are also geared towards slots and include free spins; although the welcome bonus can be used on bingo the wagering requirements are more in line with what one would expect from a slots bonus. When Maria say cashback, they mean CASH (zero wagering requirements) and what they give you a percentage of CASH WAGERS rather than a percentage of losses. Slots tournaments at Maria also run frequently (at least every single day from 5pm – 8pm) and unlike the vast majority of slots tournaments you will find at other bingo sites, the winner is normally the player with the biggest net win in 20 consecutive spins rather than the biggest spender.
Maria is networked with Bingo.com, which has very much the same selection of slots as well as the same bingo rooms but gives the bingo a lot more prominence and often runs bingo promotions (such as bingo tournaments) that aren’t on at Maria. Bingo.com won the Fair Play Award at last year’s bingo industry awards and this was judged by a panel of independent experts so you can be sure of very high standards of social responsibility and fair play there. The owner of all these sites is the Kindred Group (aka Unibet) and they recently scored an industry first by being the first and so far the only iGaming operator to be certified for compliance with all six of the core principles of the 2014 EU Recommendation on Consumer protection and Responsible Gambling.
A recent innovation at the Relax bingo sites is Roll On Bingo (hitherto only found on the Virtue Fusion platform) and they also have a selection of regular bingo promotions including 14 days of free bingo for newbies, jackpot games and tournaments. A separate bingo bonusing system (with a 4x wagering requirement) comes into play quickly – the bingo vouchers are given out as rewards on spins of the loyalty wheel and unlike bingo bonuses at many other sites, bingo vouchers are used before and not after any cash the player may have in their account.
Bingo.com often have a free scratch card promotion and this month it is called the Valentine Scratch Card Giveaway. Players get one free scratch card for each £10 of cash play on bingo, with a maximum of three cards per player per day. Match 3 to win; prizes include cash, bingo vouchers, free spins, a second chance scratch card – and one lucky player will win a 3 night trip to Paris for two including dinner at the Eiffel Tower.
During February there is also a prize draw every Tuesday with 20 pairs of cinema tickets to be won; players get one entry for each £10 played on bingo that day.
Lucky Spin Challenge is a bingo minigames tournament running from 19th February – 1st March. To participate, players opt in and play the 8 Relax exclusive minigames; the £2000 of cash prizes goes to the 30 players with the biggest single spin wins. Running concurrently with this is the Bingo Point Challenge and this also has £2000 of cash prizes for the top 30 – in this case the 30 players that score the most points via bingo line and full house wins (as usual 1 point for 1 line, 2 points for 2 lines and so on up to 5 points for 5 lines/full house).
